Literacy And Competency In Thai Education : A Crosswalk Framework For Curriculum Design And Assessment, Wichai Sawekngam
Literacy And Competency In Thai Education : A Crosswalk Framework For Curriculum Design And Assessment, Wichai Sawekngam
Journal of Education Studies
This article aims to analyze and position the relationship between literacy and competency in the context of Thai education. It employs conceptual analysis and purposive document synthesis based on relevant international and Thai frameworks, including PIAAC, PISA/OECD, UNESCO, ACRL, the Council of the European Union, DigComp, UNESCO-UNEVOC, PISA Thailand, and CBE Thailand materials on core competencies and learning assessment. The analysis indicates that literacy and competency are related but cannot be used interchangeably. Literacy emphasizes domain-specific abilities to understand, evaluate, use, create, or communicate texts, data, media, symbols, or information in meaningful contexts. Competency, on the other hand, emphasizes the …

Robust Nozzle Calibration For Homogeneous Line Printing, Hp Inc
Robust Nozzle Calibration For Homogeneous Line Printing, Hp Inc
Defensive Publications Series
Current ground-printing technology uses a printhead equipped with nozzles to deposit ink onto a surface. Several printhead parameters, such as pressure and firing frequency, can be configured, directly influencing the printing result and image quality. Printing line weight is one outcome of this configuration and is particularly relevant for ground-printing robots, whose primary purpose is the printing of construction layouts on the floor. However, line weight may vary depending on environmental conditions, printhead lifecycle and health, floor substrate characteristics, and other operational factors. These sources of variability can make it difficult to achieve a consistent printed output across different deployment …
Improving Web Accessibility Using On-Device Models, Gudipati Tarun
Improving Web Accessibility Using On-Device Models, Gudipati Tarun
Defensive Publications Series
Modern web environments typically present navigation barriers for assistive technologies when web content lacks explicit programmatic semantics. A system can utilize an intermediating browser layer configured to execute a multimodal edge machine learning model entirely on a device of a user. The system may scan Document Object Model (DOM) structures to extract layout contexts and generate synthesized structural attributes. The generated attributes can be dynamically injected into an accessibility tree of a browser. Such an approach may enable real-time local remediation of interactive elements, embedded frames, tabular data, and visual media without communicating information to a remote server, thereby preserving …

Trust-Validated Recovery Of Network Interface Hardware Addresses, Vipin Nagar, Sarathy Venkatakrishnan
Defensive Publications Series
A system is proposed herein for allowing a network interface controller (NIC) to self-heal its media access control (MAC) address in the field safely and only when recovery is warranted. The system operates without an operator or manufacturing tooling and can avoid return merchandise authorization (RMA). When a root of trust (RoT)-anchored authoritative source is used, the system provides a tamper-evident basis for the true MAC address.

Bmi-Perception Discordance And School Health Communication Profiles Among Us High School Students: Evidence From The 2023 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, Hoang Thanh Thu, Nguyen Khac Toan
Journal of Health Research
Background: Body mass index (BMI) screening is commonly used in schools to identify students at risk of overweight or obesity, but BMI alone may not adequately guide counselling when students’ perceived weight differs from BMI-based status.
Method: This cross-sectional secondary analysis used 2023 US Youth Risk Behavior Survey data from 17,814 students in grades 9–12. Survey-weighted estimates and logistic regression examined overweight or obesity, underestimation among students with overweight or obesity, and excessive concern among students without overweight or obesity.
Results: Overall, 30.63% of students had overweight or obesity. Among students reporting perceived weight, 53.04% were concordant, …

Cultural Orientation, Parent-Child Connectedness, And Student Mental Health Perceptions, Abigail M. Mattias
Cultural Orientation, Parent-Child Connectedness, And Student Mental Health Perceptions, Abigail M. Mattias
Master's Theses
An individual’s perception of mental health is likely shaped by multiple interrelated factors. Connecting research into mental health perceptions across racial groups and parental value transmission suggests that a strong parent-child relationship increases the likelihood of the child endorsing parental and cultural values. The current survey examined the following predictors of mental health stigma among 144 college students: cultural orientation (collectivist/individualist attitudes), cultural background (collectivist/individualist heritage) as mediated by perceived parental mental health stigma, and parent-child connectedness as moderating the mediation. As predicted, there were stronger links between parent and child mental health stigma when parent-child connectedness was stronger. The …
Mental Health Concerns And Stigma In Online Education: Access To And Awareness Of Student Resources, Stacey L. Knight, J. T. Seaman
Mental Health Concerns And Stigma In Online Education: Access To And Awareness Of Student Resources, Stacey L. Knight, J. T. Seaman
International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)
Online education offers valuable access to students who face barriers to attending traditional in-person courses (Canty et. al., 2020; Wiitavaara & Widar, 2025). However, students may experience social isolation, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness, and the stigma surrounding mental health can further intensify these challenges (Lister et al., 2023; Rutkowska et.al., 2022; Smith & Alheneidi, 2023). This stigma may lead students to minimize their symptoms, avoid acknowledging their concerns, or feel reluctant to seek assistance. Consequently, many students may remain unaware of available mental health resources or feel discouraged from accessing them (Cody et al., 2024).

Ai Literacy Among Nurse Educators: Assessing Adaptation And Integration In Nursing Education, Cora Rabe, Mikyoung Angela Lee
Ai Literacy Among Nurse Educators: Assessing Adaptation And Integration In Nursing Education, Cora Rabe, Mikyoung Angela Lee
International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes embedded in both education and clinical practice, educators must be equipped to use it effectively and train graduates for AI-driven environments.1 AI offers benefits such as personalized learning, improved feedback, increased engagement, and decreased workload.2-5 However, researchers note a lack of standardized methods for implementing and evaluating AI in the classroom. Moreover, validated tools to assess AI literacy among nurse educators are lacking, hindering full integration of AI into nursing curricula.
This study aimed to (1) develop and validate the AI-Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge and Ethics (AI-TPACK-E) scale, (2) evaluate nurse educators’ AI literacy, and …

The Perception Of Gay Black Males Concerning Cultural Responsiveness Of Police Officer Use Of Force, Christopher M. Collier
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Police officers’ use of force on the public has been a popular topic of conversation over the last decade. Political campaigns, social media platforms, and neighborhood groups have expressed concerns about how police officers use force disproportionately within various communities. Suggestions have been made to increase police training, promote body-worn cameras, and foster greater transparency to hold police officers accountable for actions that may be unethical or illegal. This study sought to understand if cultural environments have an effect on law enforcement’s interaction with Black same gender loving males (BSGLM). Understanding the use of force was derived from BSGLMs’ perspectives …
