Study The Effects Of Nuclear Correlations And Tensor Forces On The Nuclear Structure Of The 10B Nucleus, Farah Faris Kaddoori
Study The Effects Of Nuclear Correlations And Tensor Forces On The Nuclear Structure Of The 10B Nucleus, Farah Faris Kaddoori
Baghdad Science Journal
A detailed theoretical investigation of nuclear transition charge densities is carried out for the odd–odd nucleus 10B, with particular emphasis on collective dynamics and short-range nucleon–nucleon correlations. Longitudinal C2 form factors for inelastic electron scattering are evaluated for several excited nuclear states. The transition charge density is expressed as a superposition of the shell-model contribution and a core-polarization term arising from collective nuclear dynamics. The latter is evaluated within the Tassie collective model using correlated ground-state two-body charge-density distributions (2BCDDs). These correlated densities are derived using the nuclear contact formalism, incorporating short-range central correlations and tensor-force effects from realistic …

Implementing An Evidence-Based Practice Training Program To Impact Nursing Skills Competency And Self-Efficacy In A Long-Term Care Facility, Angela Mcknight
Doctor of Nursing Practice Projects
Long-term care facilities require nursing staff who can competently perform clinical skills; however, the project site relied primarily on written in-service education and attendance verification without direct validation of psychomotor performance. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate competency-based nursing education in a long-term care facility. The aim was to strengthen demonstrated urinary catheterization competency and evaluate changes in perceived professional nursing competence and general self-efficacy among licensed nurses. A quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design included 12 registered and licensed practical nurses. Plan-Do-Study-Act guided implementation, Lewin’s Change Theory guided organizational change, and Social Cognitive Theory supported the educational …

Tinea incognito is an altered clinical presentation of a dermatophyte infection that develops following treatment with topical or systemic corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive agents. Suppression of inflammation temporarily improves the appearance of the eruption while masking the characteristic annular, scaly appearance of the infection, making diagnosis more challenging. If a fungal infection is suspected, a potassium hydroxide (KOH) preparation should be performed to evaluate for an underlying fungal etiology. A 43-year-old male presented to dermatology after treatment with clobetasol propionate 0.05% cream and roflumilast 0.3% cream for presumed psoriasis. His eruption initially improved but subsequently recurred and progressively worsened over …

Hybrid Transformer-Bilstm Model For Early Fault Detection And Multiclass Classification Of Wind Turbine Faults Using Scada Data, Hassan Y. Mkindu
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
Early and accurate fault detection in wind turbines is essential for improving operational reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and minimizing unplanned downtime. This study proposes a Hybrid Transformer-BiLSTM deep learning model for early fault detection and multiclass fault classification using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) data. The proposed architecture combines the Transformer's self-attention mechanism to capture global temporal dependencies with the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) network's ability to model sequential fault evolution, enabling effective learning of multivariate time-series data. The model was developed and evaluated using the recently introduced CARE SCADA dataset, classifying five operating states: No Fault, Transformer …

Einstein Health Papers
AIMS: Structural heart disease is often underdiagnosed, and echocardiography is limited by access and referral thresholds. Artificial intelligence electrocardiography (AI-ECG) may identify echocardiographically defined structural heart disease. EchoNext-Mini is a released AI-ECG model, accompanied by a benchmark dataset, that detects a composite structural heart disease outcome and component conditions from 12-lead electrocardiogram waveforms together with age, sex, and electrocardiographic measurements. We assessed its transportability and recalibration.
METHODS AND RESULTS: We linked electrocardiograms from MIMIC-IV to subsequent transthoracic echocardiograms, including adults whose electrocardiogram preceded an eligible echocardiogram within one year, one per patient. Labels were mapped to structured echocardiographic fields using …

Veterans' Benefits Exceptionalism After Axon: Johnson V. U.S. Congress And The Future Of Structural Constitutional Review In Va., Robert Molina
ConLawNOW
This Essay addresses the pending case before the U.S. Supreme Court, Johnson v. U.S. Congress, and argues that the Court should resolve the tension between regular federal jurisdiction and specialized administrative court jurisdiction for veterans’ benefits claims. Veterans’ benefits exceptionalism, it asserts, should not overcome the usual federal court process. Ordinary benefits-entitlement claims, and some statutory-validity claims, may properly remain in the specialized pipeline established by the Veterans’ Judicial Review Act. But structural constitutional challenges to the Veterans Administration adjudicatory apparatus should receive immediate district court review when they satisfy the three-factor test the Court applies to determine whether …

A system is proposed herein for converting an unstructured software defect record into a standalone executable detection program that can determine, through read-only operation, whether a live deployment is exposed to the defect. The system performs a staged transformation that derives root-cause and exposure criteria, assesses the availability of required telemetry, enriches missing artifacts from trusted sources, generates detection logic under schema constraints, and validates and repairs the resulting program. A large language model (LLM) assists selected stages, while source grounding, reusable helper routines, multi-stage review, and bounded execution costs produce a reliable operational result. The program can then execute …

Multi-Agent Orchestration Engine For Synchronized Generative Dialogue And Kinematics, Allison Garcia, Corbin Cunningham, Mike Dory
Defensive Publications Series
Creating coordinated interactions for multi-agent systems, such as physical robots or virtual characters, can present challenges in synchronizing expressive dialogue with coherent physical actions and adapting to unscripted events. The disclosed technology describes a multi-agent orchestration engine with a decoupled architecture that can employ a tiered timeline system to manage a global narrative and individual agent states. A dynamic interruption handler can leverage a large language model to reason about real-time inputs and determine if an agent should deviate from a scripted path. The engine can then generate synchronized dialogue and high level behavioral tokens, which may be subsequently translated …

Processing poultry slaughterhouse wastewater as a biogas substrate is a sustainable solution. The current study aimed to optimize methane production from poultry slaughterhouse wastewater at various hydraulic retention times, biochar addition levels, and biochar addition types. Optimization of the anaerobic digestion process was determined through response surface methodology with central composite design. The input variables were hydraulic retention times (10, 20, and 30 days), biochar levels (5, 10, and 15 g/L), and biochar types (chicken litter and rice straw). Meanwhile, the response variable was methane production. The results revealed that the resulting central composite design model was significant (p < 0.05) with an R-squared of 0.94, indicating a high model suitability. The analysis of variance showed that hydraulic retention times, biochar levels, and biochar types significantly affected methane production (p < 0.05). Based on optimization, the highest methane production was achieved at a 30-day hydraulic retention times, a biochar level of 15 g/L, and a biochar type of rice straw, which was 473.00 mL/g volatile solid. These results emphasize the importance of determining the correct hydraulic retention times and biochar addition (level and type) to optimize methane production.

Nuisance holdover dismissed without prejudice. Paragraph 17(a) of the parties' lease gives the owner the option to terminate after a cure period but does not state the lease shall automatically expire on a date fixed in the notice—no conditional limitation clause. Under binding Second Department precedent, a conditional limitation is a prerequisite for a summary holdover proceeding. Judge Bacdayan notes the rationale is increasingly difficult to justify given RPAPL §753(4)'s statewide extension and effective unenforceability of such clauses against rent-stabilized tenants, but declines to depart from controlling authority absent appellate guidance.
Between Extinction And Hubris: A Dialectical Approach To Ai Risk, Control, And Governance, Elise Annett, James Giordano
Between Extinction And Hubris: A Dialectical Approach To Ai Risk, Control, And Governance, Elise Annett, James Giordano
Strategic Insights
This Strategic Insights article looks at risks associated with autonomous artificial intelligence systems and the challenges they pose for human control and institutional governance. Dr. Annett and Dr. Giordano argue that near-term risks stem not only from advancing AI capabilities but also from the progressive transfer of human decision-making and agency to AI systems, particularly in military and intelligence contexts. They propose an adaptive governance framework emphasizing continuous testing and evaluation, meaningful human control, clear accountability, graduated autonomy thresholds, independent oversight, and international norms for high-risk AI applications.

Animal models are critical for elucidating disease mechanisms and pathological outcomes, and for evaluating therapeutic interventions. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a leading cause of chronic pain and disability globally. Clinically, individuals with OA experience both sensory and ongoing pain. However, ongoing pain, as assessed by the Mouse Grimace Scale (MGS), has not yet been evaluated in animal models of OA. This study aims to address this significant knowledge gap. We induced OA by intra-articular injection of monosodium iodoacetate (MIA), while control mice received saline injections. We assessed pain behaviors using the MGS on days 1, 3, 7, and 14 after MIA …
