The Role Of Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder In The Associations Between Minority Stressors And Self-Reported Suicide Likelihood In Lgbtq+ Adults., Ines Cano-Gonzalez, Ruby Charak, Roman Ronzon-Tirado, Jorge I. Cantu Jan 2025

Cantu

Psychological Science Faculty Publications

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer individuals (LGBTQ+) report higher rates of suicide-related behaviors when compared to heterosexual cisgender individuals. The minority stress theory proposes that the suicide risk disparities among LGBTQ+ individuals may be explained by the additional exposure to stressors unique to their minority sexual orientation and gender identity. However, less is known about the mechanism of minority stressors and suicide risk among trauma-exposed LGBTQ+ individuals. The present study aimed to explore the role of the International Classification of Diseases, version-11 posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (disturbances in self-organization [DSO] + PTSD) in the associations between …

Ai-Driven Smart Contract Vulnerability Detection: A Systematic Review Of Methods, Challenges, And Future Prospects, Saad Al Azzam, Raenu Al Kolandaisamy, Ghassan Al Dharhani

Mesopotamian Journal of Big Data

Smart contracts (SCs) have become an essential component in the world of decentralized applications, automating transactions across blockchain networks without the need for intermediaries, and with this rise in adoption, the technology has also brought forth growing concern due to security vulnerabilities, which have led to serious financial damage, and the problem is far from being solved. Traditional auditing methods often struggle to capture the more intricate vulnerabilities hidden within smart contract logic, particularly owing to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions. Given these challenges, researchers have been actively exploring more advanced detection techniques. Despite progress, many existing studies tend …

Psoa-Crl: A Hybrid Multi-Objective Routing Mechanism Using Particle Swarm Optimization And Actor-Critic Reinforcement Learning For Vanets, Mustafa Maad Hamdi, Baraa Saad Abdulhakeem, Ahmed Adil Nafea Jan 2025

Psoa-Crl: A Hybrid Multi-Objective Routing Mechanism Using Particle Swarm Optimization And Actor-Critic Reinforcement Learning For Vanets, Mustafa Maad Hamdi, Baraa Saad Abdulhakeem, Ahmed Adil Nafea

Mesopotamian Journal of Big Data

Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) serve vehicles and infrastructure systems to communicate in real time for critical safety functions and traffic control. The highly mobile nature of VANETs with rapid topology changes, high mobility, and frequent disconnections is a very challenging situation for routing protocols. Most of the current approaches are static and tend to focus on a single metric rather than being flexible in practical environments. This paper introduces a hybrid routing method that is capable of maintaining a high packet delivery rate, low delay, and stable connectivity in VANETs with dynamic traffic situations. To address these problems, in …

Solar Stills Design And Evaluation Of: A Comprehensive Review, Suhaib J. Shbailat, Salwa Bouadila Jan 2025

Solar Stills Design And Evaluation Of: A Comprehensive Review, Suhaib J. Shbailat, Salwa Bouadila

Babylonian Journal of Mechanical Engineering

Modifications to the Distiller in the water desalination in desert territories, a set of models was suggested (including simple solar panel with single-slope basin). The improvements were classified into two types. the first was to cool the condenser, and the second was to portray the process of heating the evaporator. Five experiments were carried out in the Ouargla region with a dry desert climate. The study, experimental and theoretical, supported the claim that when a heat pump evaporator was added, production of pure water was increased. It was followed by steam condensation and exposing the condenser to sunlight. This was …
