Yange Sun
Yange Sun
Lingnan Theses (Doctoral degree)

Xiaolu Zhou
Lingnan Theses (Doctoral degree)

Tusheng Wang
Tusheng Wang
Lingnan Theses (Doctoral degree)

Yongping Wang
Lingnan Theses (Doctoral degree)

Lingnan Theses (Doctoral degree)

The urgency to address ecosystem loss is paramount, as both land use change and climate change will continue to rapidly alter and degrade natural ecosystems and reduce the many services they provide. To support conservation actions that mitigate impacts from these dual threats, we have developed potential World Terrestrial Ecosystem (WTE) distributions for 2050 following IPCC best practice guidelines. This projection of ecosystem distributions builds on the previously released 2015 WTEs, a snapshot of the distribution and conservation status of 431 terrestrial ecosystem types defined as distinct combinations of 18 global climate regions, 4 global landform classes, and 8 global …

He's A Builder, But Does Trump Have An Urban Agenda?, Mark Davidson
Geography
For 20 years, turbulence has defined American urbanism. In the late noughties, a global financial crisis pushed many US cities to the brink of bankruptcy. Austerity followed, with belt-tightening squeezing city services. Then came Trump, then came COVID. The pandemic would, unpredictably, make US cities cash rich thanks to the Federal government's largesse. And now we await Trump 2.0. For US cities the prospect of radical change seems real. But what type of reform will Trump bring? Herein lies the difficulty. Trump 2.0 is as hard to predict as the first version was. Immigration, tariff reform and government efficiency are …
Bed Allocation Model For Infection Control During A Pandemic, Rosemary R. Seva, Dennis E. Cruz, Lourdes Marie Tejero
Bed Allocation Model For Infection Control During A Pandemic, Rosemary R. Seva, Dennis E. Cruz, Lourdes Marie Tejero
DLSU Business & Economics Review
This study proposes a model of allocating beds in a hospital considering infection control during a pandemic. The problem was formulated using the quadratic assignment problem (QAP) in a multi-period planning horizon. The main objective is to
minimize the spread of infection by maximizing the total distance (TD) between areas assigned to the pandemic and non- pandemic patients. Model validation using GAMS showed that the assignment of patient groups to areas is determined by
the arrival rates of patients and the area’s capacity. The model was able to identify periods when the sharing of space was more advantageous. The model’s …

The Follower Fallacy: Revisiting Engagement Hypothesis By Evidencing Nonlinear Dynamics In Influencer Marketing, Pranjal Jain, Pooja Jain, Anju Jain
DLSU Business & Economics Review
The traditional premise posits a positive correlation between influencer following (indegree) and engagement metrics, covering likes, shares, comments, and so forth. This study aims to either affirm or dent this engagement hypothesis. Through a methodical analysis of engagement data, this research recognizes potential deviations from the anticipated linear trajectory. Contrary to antecedental social influence, campaign customization, indegree composition, and post components define diverse nonlinear trajectories, empirically challenging the existing research assumptions underlying hypothesis. By evidencing the multifaceted dynamics of influencer engagement, this study offers critical insights for marketers navigating the complexities of contemporary digital marketing landscapes, facilitating the optimization of …

Neutrosophic Circular-Arc Graphs And Proper Circular-Arc Graphs, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Graph theory is a fundamental branch of mathematics that studies networks made up of nodes (vertices) and connections (edges). A key concept in graph theory is the intersection graph, where vertices represent sets, and edges are drawn between vertices if their corresponding sets intersect. A circular-arc graph specifically models the intersections of arcs on a circle, with vertices corresponding to the arcs and edges existing between intersecting arcs. This paper delves into the study of circular-arc graphs within the frameworks of fuzzy, intuitionistic fuzzy, neutrosophic, and Turiyam Neutrosophic graphs, all of which incorporate uncertainty into graph structures. Additionally, we examine …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
With the proposal of China's "dual carbon" goals and the rapid development of the energy storage industry, in recent years, there have been more and more reports on safety accidents of energy storage power stations in the application of the energy storage industry. It can be seen that the pressure and safety hazards of the safe operation of energy storage power stations have significantly increased, and safety issues have become the main bottleneck restricting the good development of the energy storage industry. The safe operation risk assessment of batteries in energy storage power stations could be considered (MADM). Recently, the …

Lagrange-Integrated Gra Model For Urban Landscape Sculpture Site Selection With Neutrosophic Decision-Making, Qiwei Liu, Jiayin Li, Chang Liu
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Urban landscape sculpture plays a crucial role in preserving cultural heritage, enhancing city vitality, and reflecting the lives of urban citizens. With the continued development of landscape sculpture in modern urban environments, the process of site selection has become increasingly important. A well-chosen location can establish a positive interaction between sculptures and urban activities. Traditionally, site selection methods have been largely theoretical, lacking quantitative foundations, which made practical application challenging for designers. To address this, site selection for urban landscape sculptures can be approached as a multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) problem. Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) is an effective method for handling …

Correlation And Regression Coefficients Of Neutrosophic Graph Products Using Minimum Spanning Tree For Enhancing Healthcare Strategies, A. Meenakshi, Shivangi Mishra J
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This paper investigates the correlation and regression coefficients (CRCs) of single-valued neutro sophic graph products (SVNGPs) with a focus on the minimum spanning tree (MST) and their applications in enhancing healthcare strategies. Single-valued neutrosophic Graph (SVNG) is an extension of traditional graph theory that uses neutrosophic logic to solve uncertainties and indeterminacy. We have introduced the modular and strong products of SVNGs and calculated the CRCs with and without using MST to evaluate the relationships within healthcare networks. A comparative analysis has been done for CRCs with and without MST which helps to increase the accuracy and efficiency of CRCs. …

Enhancing Neutrosophic Data Analysis: A Review Of Neutrosophic Measures And Applications With Neutrostat, Zahid Khan, Katrina Lane Krebs
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Neutrosophic statistical measures analyze data that is not fully determined, often due to imprecise observations. This type of data presents a major concern in neutrosophic statistics. The existing literature cat egorizes neutrosophic measures into two types: descriptive and inferential, aiming to broaden the categorization of statistics in these two major areas. Every statistical measure can be contextualized within the neutrosophic framework by acknowledging the inherent imprecision, vagueness, or not fully defined. In this study, the major focus is on reviewing existing neutrosophic measures rather than proposing new ones. The aim is to enhance current neutrosophic structures to make them more …
