Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Computing and Information Technology Sciences
The most important and challenging tasks in an intelligent traffic monitoring system are vehicle detection and classification. Conventional approaches are significantly computationally intensive and create limitations when the data-collecting modality alters. This study evaluates the effectiveness of deep learning models in extracting and classifying key vehicle attributes, such as license plates, models, and colors, through four AI-driven components for vehicle analysis. The YOLOv8m model was used for detecting the vehicle license plate and character recognition, achieving accuracy ranging from 95.10% to 99.24%. For vehicle model recognition, the Xception model also showed high performance with a precision of 96.79%. The EfficientNetB3 …

Hybrid Intelligent Architecture For Context-Driven Code Clone Detection, Afnan A. Almatrafi, Fathy A. Eassa, Sanaa A. Sharaf
Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Computing and Information Technology Sciences
Code clone detection is a critical task in software engineering, directly influencing code maintainability, quality, and technical debt management. Despite advancements in both static analysis techniques and AI-driven approaches, existing solutions remain fragmented, either relying on deterministic syntactic analysis for syntactic clone detection or employing machine learning, deep learning, and LLM-based methods for semantic clone detection. This separation leads to inefficiencies, scalability challenges, and missed optimization opportunities. This paper introduces a Hybrid Intelligent Clone Detection Architecture (HICDA), a context-driven delegation framework that routes clone detection tasks based on syntactic or semantic characteristics. Central to this architecture is the conceptualization of …

Governing Cyberterrorism In Indonesia: Resilience And Gaps In The Draft Cybersecurity Law (Ruu Kks 2025), Eko Setyo Utomo
Indonesia Law Review
Indonesia’s accelerating digital transformation and persistent terrorist threats expose both resilience gains and governance gaps in its cybersecurity framework. This article examines the Draft Law on Cybersecurity and Resilience (RUU KKS 2025), which consolidates the authority of the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) and strengthens protections for critical information infrastructure. While the bill enhances technical resilience and institutional coordination, it remains silent on cyberterrorism, leaving statutory, institutional, and international gaps. Drawing on cybersecurity theory, securitization theory, and hybrid warfare theory, the study argues that resilience without terrorism-specific provisions is strategically insufficient. Comparative analysis with the United Kingdom’s Terrorism Act, …

Floating Nuclear Power Plants On The Horizon. Do We Need A Revised Brussels Convention On The Liability Of The Operators Of Nuclear Ships?, Jakub Handrlica
Indonesia Law Review
Adopted in 1962, the Brussels Convention on the Liability of the Operators of Nuclear Ships has been considered an obsolete instrument for the last 60 years. In light of renewed interest in floating nuclear power plants (FNPPs), this article revisits the regime of this half-forgotten Convention and calls for its modernisation. The fact is that a robust legal framework for liability and compensation must accompany any prospective deployment of FNPPs. This article argues that adopting a Revised Brussels Convention will help address these challenges. This article aims to identify the reasons for this modernisation and to outline its significant features. …

Cultivating Synergy: A Comparative Legal Analysis Of Agrivoltaics Frameworks For Thailand's Sustainable And Just Energy Transition, Chirat Keawchaum
Indonesia Law Review
This article conducts a critical comparative analysis of the legal frameworks for agrivoltaics (AV), employing the theoretical lenses of "Energy Justice" and "Social Costs" to evaluate the structural challenges in Thailand. It contrasts the Thai context with successful models and cautionary tales from a range of international jurisdictions, including Germany, France, Japan, Italy, the United States, and China. The central thesis posits that Thailand's current approach constitutes a "structural limitation," characterized by siloed sectoral laws that misclassify AV under an inappropriate industrial paradigm, thereby creating the most significant constraint to its equitable scaling. Drawing on international best practices, notably Germany's …

(R2151) Error Estimates Of Barycentric Lagrange Interpolation, Alvira Yawar, Swarnima Bahadur
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
Barycentric interpolation, which comes from Lagrange interpolation, is a useful method in numerical analysis. In this research paper, we explain how the barycentric interpolation formula is derived and discuss its features. We compare its stability and performance with the traditional Lagrange formula. First, we show how to get the barycentric formula from the Lagrange polynomial and present it as a rational function. We also provide an estimate of the error. Then, we use numerical examples to show that the barycentric formula is more stable and works better, especially when the degree of interpolation is high. Our results show that the …

Kegagalan Kepastian: Membingkai Ulang Manajemen Strategis Melalui Kompleksitas, Brian Hoffni
Jurnal Manajemen dan Usahawan Indonesia
This paper explores the integration of complexity theory into the field of strategic management, arguing that traditional, positivist-based models—such as the planning school, positioning school, and resource-based view—are increasingly inadequate for addressing the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) of contemporary business environments. While classical theories emphasize linearity, stability, and top-down control, complexity theory reconceptualizes organizations as complex adaptive systems (CAS) characterized by emergence, nonlinearity, and continuous learning. Drawing on insights from both historical and contemporary strategic paradigms, this study proposes that complexity theory does not replace but rather extends classical frameworks by enabling more adaptive, iterative, and resilient approaches …
