Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), as potentially traumatic early-life experiences, can influence how individuals relate to others, often leading to challenges in intimate relationships. During the transition to adulthood, college students engage in identity development while also navigating the critical skill of conflict resolution necessary for fostering and maintaining intimate relationships. In this study, we collected data from 434 college students at a Midwest university regarding their ACEs and conflict resolution styles using the 10-item ACEs questionnaire and the Conflict Resolution Styles Inventory (CRSI). Introduction: Intramuscular hemangiomas (IH) are rare, benign vascular tumours that account for less than 1% of all hemangiomas, with the plantar region being an extremely uncommon site. Their clinical presentation often mimics other soft tissue lesions, leading to diagnostic challenges.

Case Presentation: We report a case of a 57-year-old female presenting with a 25-year history of progressive swelling on the plantar surface of the left foot, initially diagnosed as a dermoid cyst based on clinical examination and ultrasonography. Aims and objectives: This study was performed to determine the association between histomorphological features, clinical and laboratory parameters in lupus nephritis and to study the significance of peritubular capillary C4d immunostaining in lupus nephritis.

Materials and methods: Retrospective study was conducted which included all newly diagnosed patients fulfilling the ARA criteria for SLE.

With rising human populations and fluctuating food supplies, edible insects offer a rich source of protein, vitamins, and minerals and are culturally accepted in many regions. Despite their nutritional benefits, knowledge on microbial hazards associated with edible insects is fragmented. This study aimed to characterize the novel FGFR2::SHTN1 fusion, identify it as a de novo chimeric protein, and elucidate its precise oncogenic mechanism. This article outlines guiding principles for teaching “difficult pasts”—episodes of large-scale, identity-based violence such as genocide, crimes against humanity, colonialism, and enslavement—in ways that promote peace, human rights, and the prevention of future atrocities. Drawing from the fields of Holocaust and Genocide Education (HGE), Global Citizenship Education (GCED), Peace Education (PE), and Human Rights Education (HRE), it argues that instruction should move beyond the memorization of historical facts toward developing students’ socio-emotional and behavioral capacities to recognize and resist processes of othering, discrimination, and violence. Solanum nectarifolium Martine & Brennan, sp. nov., is a member of the taxonomically challenging Solanum dioicum W.Fitzg. species complex in Australia and differs from other species in the group by the presence of prominent and conspicuous extrafloral nectaries on the abaxial leaf surfaces, a tinge of purple on the new growth and young fruiting calyces, and curved prickles on young stems. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the common liver cancer, exhibits higher incidence in males. Here, we report that mice lacking bile acid (BA) regulators, Farnesoid X Receptor (FXR also termed NR1H4) and Small Heterodimer Partner (SHP also termed NR0B2), recapitulate the sex difference in liver cancer risk. Since few therapeutic options are available, we focused on understanding the intrinsic protection afforded to female livers. Transcriptomic analysis in control and NR1H4 and NR0B2 double knockout livers identified female-specific changes in metabolism, including amino acids, lipids, and steroids. Each capability card comprises explicitly defined axioms representing non-violable behavioral constraints, primitives representing typed state variables exposed to reasoning, and formulas representing permitted reasoning transformations constrained by said axioms. The meta-alignment directive provides inherited system-level constraints, interpretation rules, and objective dynamics applicable across capability cards. Situated within long-standing anticolonial and postcolonial intellectual struggles, this article interrogates key conceptual dilemmas that continue to shape contemporary debates on decoloniality. Adopting a commentary orientation, it examines what it means to decolonise knowledge by engaging the historical foundations of decolonial thought alongside contemporary critiques that expose the persistence of epistemic hierarchies within modern academic institutions.
