A Neutrosophic Model For Measuring Evolution, Involution, And Indeterminacy In Species: Integrating Common And Uncommon Traits In Environmental Adaptation, Antonios Paraskevas, Michael Madas

Neutrosophic Systems with Applications

In 2017, Professor F. Smarandache introduced the Neutrosophic Theory of Evolution, Involution, and Indeterminacy (or Neutrality) (NToEIaI). He concluded that every theory of evolution is characterized by a certain degree of truth, indeterminacy, and untruth, as in neutrosophic logic. In this perspective, he raised several open questions on evolution, neutrality, and involution that required further research effort. Very recently, in 2024, Smarandache conducted research, from a soft sciences/philosophical viewpoint, on identifying and studying common parts in uncommon things and uncommon parts in common things emphasizing the complexity and interconnectedness of concepts within the context of neutrosophy. In this article, we …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

This paper presents a novel approach known as Neutrosophic Fuzzy Power Management (NFPM) aimed at addressing the critical challenge of uncertain energy availability in Energy Harvesting Sensor Networks (EHWSNs). The main objective of this research is to enhance the management of energy resources within these networks, which traditional fuzzy logic methods often fail to do, leading to power failures and reduced reliability. NFPM utilizes neutrosophic logic to effectively model uncertainty by representing the degrees of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity of both harvested and residual energy levels. Through a fuzzy inference system, NFPM dynamically allocates energy budgets for each time slot …

An Effective Neutrosophic Approach For Group Decision-Making In College English Teaching Quality Evaluation, Bin Xie

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

College English holds great importance in Chinese universities as one of the largest, most influential, and highly regarded foundational courses. Despite significant progress in reforming college English teaching (CET), its effectiveness has faced widespread criticism. To ensure and enhance the quality of CET, it is essential to explore the establishment of a quality evaluation mechanism. One such mechanism is the multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) approach. Recently, the Exponential TODIM (ExpTODIM) and TOPSIS techniques have been employed to address MAGDM challenges. To capture uncertain data during the evaluation process, interval neutrosophic sets (INSs) are administrated as a valuable tool. This …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

A generalized hybrid distance measure of a single value neutrosophic set (SVNS) is proposed to analyze the patient’s factors and diseases. Since Neutrosophic Set (NS) may communicate contradictory and ambiguous information, it is a crucial and useful tool for modelling uncertainty information. A distance measure for NS information is a key tool that is always employed in many approaches including medical diagnostics. Several distance measures in NS can be found in the literature, however, only a few of them proposed hybrid techniques. This paper aims to develop a new distance measure by considering exponential function and to define new hybrid …

Combining Two Auxiliary Variables For Elevated Estimation Of Finite Population Mean Under Neutrosophic Framework, Poonam Singh, Sooraj Gupta

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

Typically, most researchers rely on precise data for estimating population parameters using classical statistical methods. However, there are scenarios where dealing with uncertain and imprecise data in the form of intervals becomes necessary. To tackle this challenge, various adaptations of classical estimators, such as the neutrosophic ratio estimator and their improved ones, have emerged. This article introduces a novel estimator known as the neutrosophic ratio-cum-product exponential estimator combining two auxiliary variables, specifically designed for the elevated estimation of population mean in such situations. Performance evaluation is conducted using metrics like Mean Square Error (MSE) and Percentage Relative Efficiency (PRE). The …

Solving The Shortest Path Problem In An Interval-Valued Neutrosophic Pythagorean Environment Using An Enhanced A* Search Algorithm, Prasanta Kumar Raut, Sakya Singh Satapathy, Siva Prasad Behera, Said Broumi, Ajay Kumar Sahoo

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

The A* search algorithm is widely utilized to evaluate the shortest path in a given network. However, in a traditional A* search algorithm, the nodes are assumed to have crisp values, i.e., a single value. This assumption may not hold in many real-world scenarios where uncertainty or ambiguity is involved. In such cases, an interval-valued Neutrosophic Pythagorean (IVNP) environment can provide a more sound and accurate representation. Interval-valued Neutrosophic Pythagorean sets (IVNPS) are an effective way to model vague and imprecise data, which is prevalent in executive problems. These sets provide a more flexible way to capture uncertainty by allowing …
