Aim: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disease with insulin deficiency or dysfunction. Notably, T2DM also has clinical and radiological implications in the oral region. This study aims to evaluate the changes in decay, missed, and filled teeth (DMFT) indexes on panoramic radiographs of T2DM patients at the end of a five-year follow-up and compare them with the control group.

Aim this in vitro study was conducted to evaluate the effect of mechanical loading on different implant materials on supporting structures materials and methods: a total of three implant retained overdentures were used in this study, retained by two implants each (Titanium, polyetheretherketon and zirconia) were placed in epoxy resin casts at the canine area using a surgical guide. Purpose: The aim of current study was evaluating effect of concentrated growth factor alone and mixed with hyaluronic acid on osseointegration of delayed implant. Subject and Methods: A total of 12 patients, ranging in age from 20 to 45 years old, were divided into two groups in random manner. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the degree of external apical root resorption (EARR) following En-masse retraction (EM) and compared it to two steps retraction technique (TS) using friction mechanics.

Oral focal mucinosis is a rare lesion with less than 60 cases reported in English literature so far, to the best of our knowledge. It is considered to be the oral counterpart of cutaneous focal mucinosis and/or cutaneous myxoid cyst. Histopathologically, Oral focal mucinosis is demonsterates a well-circumscribed area of myxomatous connective tissue containing mucinous material, surrounded by denser collagenous connective tissue. We present a case of Oral focal mucinosis occurring on the buccal gingiva of the lower jaw.

Objectives: The aim of the present Systematic Review was to compare between immediate and delayed dental implant placement using resonance frequency analysis specifically Implant Stability Quotients (ISQ).
Search methods: Search was performed in two databases (PubMed and Cochrane Library) till March 2023. Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) were included and measurements of ISQ at time of placement and time of loading were recorded. We excluded papers discussing bone grafting, orthodontic treatment and implant surface treatment.

The article draws on Kingdon's Multiple Streams Framework to examine the policy entrepreneurs that emerged, the windows of opportunity they identified, and the strategies they used to advocate for mass vaccination during the COVID-19 pandemic. The article indicates that politicians, public figures, and governmental and non-governmental organizations played the role of policy entrepreneurs. The article asserts that the problems of high morbidity, mortality, and economic challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic have social equity implications. Promoting Students’ Engagement And Interaction In Class Discussions Through Group Work, Fatema Yusuf Alsebaie

The article aimed to promote students’ engagement, active participation, and interaction in class discussions in Business Information Systems (BIS) course by implementing a group work strategy. This study is conducted as classroom action research on a BIS course consisting of 33 students during the 2022/2023 academic year. The data collection involved observation questionnaire techniques and assessments across two cycles. The observations revealed that the group work strategy effectively improves students’ engagement and interaction levels. هدف المقال إلى تقصي أثر استخدام تعليم الوسائط التعليمية في تدريس مادة العلوم لطلاب المرحلة الثانويه بولاية الخرطوم. استخدمت الدراسة البحث الوصفي التحليلي بتوزيع استبانة على عينة الدراسة والمتمثلة في مدرسي مادة العلوم للعام الدراسي 2022/2023. اظهرت النتائج أنّ المتوسط الحسابي لأثر استخدام وسائط التعليم على تحصيل الطلبة في المرحلة الثانوية في مادة العلوم في الخرطوم كان مرتفع بدرجة (3.69) مشيرة إلى أن وسائط التعليم يزيد في تحفيز الطلبة ويسهل الوصول إلى الموارد التعلمية المفيدة، وكما له مساهمات قيّمة لا منهجية وتساعد الوسائط التعليمية في تحقيق أهداف التعلم بشكل أكبر ويثري المعرفة لدى المعلمين وكما يعزز رضا الطلبة وسعادتهم ويحسن …

The term “meiobenthos” refers to a diverse community of organisms inhabiting the interstitial spaces between sand grains retained on sieve sizes ranging between 38 to 500 μm. This study investigates the diversity and density of meiobenthic communities across five locations along the Chennai coast. We examined the dominant meiobenthic groups, with nematodes exhibiting high dominance at Napier station (288.6 ± 91.07 ind.10cm²) and harpacticoids dominating at Marina station (449.88 ± 264.3 ind.10cm²). Continuous evaluation and monitoring of coral percentage cover and health status is critical for enhancing coral reef resilience management. The present study aimed to determine the coverage and coral status at important sites of Tioman Island Marine Park, which include Renggis Island, Tiong Point and Tekek. Surveillance video recording and in situ observation were carried out using the Coral Video Transect (CVT) method, which were analyzed using the Coral Point Count with Excel extension (CPCe) software. An Update On The Phylogeny And Biogeographical History Of Rhipicephalus Sanguineus Complex, Olcay Heki̇moğlu

Rhipicephalus sanguineus complex is among the most studied hard tick species due to its worldwide distribution and its ability to transmit several pathogens. In this study, new local data and recent global findings were used to reevaluate the evolutionary history and phylogeny of the R. sanguineus complex. Seventy-nine samples of Rhipicephalus sp., which were collected from 32 different localities of Türkiye and one locality from Northern Cyprus, were analyzed using two mitochondrial (mt 16S rDNA, mt 12S rDNA) and one nuclear (ITS2) markers. In this study, we evaluated the historical demography of a cactophilic Drosophila species (Drosophila gouveai) based on previously published mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) data ecological niche modelling. We particularly aimed to test the effect of climate change on the historical demography of D. gouveai during the late Quaternary and the future of the species. For this, we also modelled its host cacti species in its distribution range to reach a more robust biogeographic conclusion. In this paper, we investigated the relationship between the breeding parameters and food composition of the common barnowl (Tyto alba) comparing the outbreak and subsequent crash periods of the common vole (Microtus arvalis) as the barn owl’s main prey. For the analyses, data of 29 (2014 outbreak: 6, 2016 crash: 8; 2019 outbreak: 7, 2021 crash: 7) breeding pairs of barn owls were selected.
