Recent calls to address racism in bioethics reflect a sense of urgency to mitigate the lethal effects of a lack of action. While the field was catalyzed largely in response to pivotal events deeply rooted in racism and other structures of oppression embedded in research and health care, it has failed to center racial justice in its scholarship, pedagogy, advocacy, and practice, and neglected to integrate anti-racism as a central consideration. Academic bioethics programs play a key role in determining the field's norms and practices, including methodologies, funding priorities, and professional networks that bear on equity, inclusion, and epistemic justice. …

Description: Today's reflections are of Our Lady Mary as Mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Then, as we move into looking at Mary and walking with her, we will look at the parts of the Mass. And recently, I heard a wonderful homily by a deacon from our church, Deacon Mark Danis, and I have him to thank for a new insight into the Mass and to Our Lady and her role in the Mass.
And then, we'll conclude our picture of Mary with Reconciliation and what that means.

Automation & Ai In Southern Nevada: A High Stake Game For Hospitality Workers, An Pham
Student Research
After a year filled with excitement around artificial intelligence, it’s easy to overlook that both AI and automation have already been present in various capacities. Thankfully, fanfare in AI and automation has come at a critical time as it shifts the focus from questioning whether machines will replace human workers to understanding when that will happen. In my paper, titled “Automation & AI in Southern Nevada: A High-Stakes Game for Hospitality Workers,” I aim to highlight both the disruptive consequences of automation and AI on the hospitality workforce in Southern Nevada and the importance of addressing these issues without delay. …

The Chronology Of Jesus' Triple Fulfillment Of The Feasts Of Israel, Carter Day Watson
The Chronology Of Jesus' Triple Fulfillment Of The Feasts Of Israel, Carter Day Watson
Masters Theses
Much of modern scholarship believes that Jesus only fulfilled the spring feasts of Israel during His First Coming and will fulfill the fall feasts in His Second Coming. This thesis argues that this view is mistaken; instead, the biblical and historical evidence points towards Jesus already fulfilling both the spring and fall feasts during His First Coming: (1) Trumpets with His birth on September 29, 2 BCE (and Herod the Great's death on January 27, 1 BCE); (2) the Day of Atonement with His spiritual baptism on October 6, 29 CE and physical baptism on October 14, 29 CE; (3) …

Job Satisfaction Among Generation Z And Millennials In The Mental Health Field, Terence Fleeton
Job Satisfaction Among Generation Z And Millennials In The Mental Health Field, Terence Fleeton
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Millennials and Generation Z perceive job satisfaction in different ways. The mental health profession requires a lot of time and sacrifice to meet the needs of clients, and the organization served. The diverse beliefs, ambitions, and work-related attitudes of these younger generations are critical in shaping the dynamics of the mental health profession for employers seeking to hire younger talent as the workforce increased. The problem in this study is that some employers don't understand how supervisory support affects job satisfaction in millennial and Generation Z mental health employees. Managers struggle to maintain an environment where work-life balance provides job …

Muslim Scholars In China(Radwan Liu Lin Roy Is A Model), Leqaa Shaker Khatar Sharifi
Alustath Journal for Human and Social Sciences
The study of personalities is one of the important topics in writing history, especially those personalities who had a pivotal role in political, economic, social and cultural life, as the scholar Ridwan Liu Lin Rui (1917-1995 AD) is considered one of the Chinese Muslim scholars who played a major role in spreading science. Arabic and Islamic in China by extending the roots of communication and knowledge between the two cultures. This is in addition to being one of the founding pioneers who officially transferred the teaching of the Arabic language from the ancient mosque education to formal higher education in …

Beyond The Horizons Of Desire: Salme's Subjectivity In "Salman Und Morolf", Aysha M. Strachan
Medieval Feminist Forum: A Journal of Gender and Sexuality
Salme in the Middle High German epic poem Salman und Morolf (twelfth–fifteenth century) is conventionally read as a wild, dangerous, animalistic object waiting to be tamed by the men who fight for her hand. An in-depth analysis of her character is long overdue, and this article argues that Salme is a pertinent example of how female figures resist being “tamed” altogether. She is the movable object of multiple bridal quests for which she is ambiguously responsible. The unreachable, exoticized, and foreignized object of men’s desire, Salme embodies the drive of the western man to possess a fantasy of the Orient, …

Embroidering “Hir Word”: The Assembly Of Ladies, Christine De Pizan, And The Medieval Écriture Féminine, Akari Kobayashi
Medieval Feminist Forum: A Journal of Gender and Sexuality
The authorship of the anonymous Middle English poem, The Assembly of Ladies, has been a locus of long-standing critical contestation, and amidst this debate, medieval feminist scholars have continuously and cogently advocated for the poem’s female authorship. Building on these feminist scholarships and simultaneously aiming to move beyond the scope of existing studies, whose discussion has often been limited to whether the poem was written by a woman, this article makes a deliberate and experimental decision in assuming The Assembly’s female authorship and provides a particular feminist reading of the poem enabled by this assumption. This article places the …

Fictional Literary Biography, Sarah E. Novacich
Medieval Feminist Forum: A Journal of Gender and Sexuality
This essay examines how Lauren Groff’s novel, Matrix, creates a fictional life story for Marie de France as it minimizes the importance of the poetic corpus associated with that name. It reads this exchange of poetry for biography against a backdrop of medieval thinking about gender, language, and corporeality.
