The Effect Of Strong's Training On Some Health Fitness Variables Among Participants Aged (25-30 Years) At Zara Fitness Center, Ban Jihad Umran
Modern Sport
It can be said that the rate of decline in health fitness increases with increased reliance on amenities and luxury and increased lack of movement with a dietary pattern in which excessive amounts of energy that the body needs are available, which increases with weight and some diseases that affect health fitness in terms of the physiological and physical aspects, and in the other direction. Practicing sports activities has become one of the basic requirements of life for many women in society, and the aim of the research is to identify the effect of Strong’s training on some health fitness …

On 'Sticky' Interior: Agglutinating As An Interplay Strategy For Building Adaptation, Verarisa Anastasia Ujung, Alya Amany
ARSNET
This paper is an exploration into the idea of agglutinating as a building adaptation strategy. This paper examines agglutinating as a potential operation to address the interplay and affective relations between spatial elements, creating a 'sticky' interior which merges or combines these elements. The study in this paper addresses agglutination as the process of re-reading the site in evocative and productive ways, rediscovering the underlying architectural logic which generates new ideas. The study is based on a fourth-year interior architecture design studio project at the Universitas Indonesia, which focuses on various experiments in regard to the theme of adaptative reuse. …

Rabbit (RM) has become a valuable source of nutrients since the 1970s, helping to transform the European food industry into the largest RM producer in the world. However, the RM industry is experiencing a critical period of ethical imbalance. This trend, described as feed conversion ratio, impacts the environmental and financial performance of RM farms, which could lead to an increase production of industrial waste. In addition, the loss of corporate ethical responsibility and sustainable development by RM-oriented companies has further exacerbated the situation. Our objective was to summarize current trends in the RM industry and markets, highlighting possible strengths …

The Effectiveness Of Weighted Blankets As A Sleep Promoting Behavior: A Quasi -Experimental Study, Irish Amalia, Sali R. Asih, Inge U. Wiswanti, Ina Saraswati
Psychological Research on Urban Society
Sleep is crucial to the overall well-being of individuals. Sleep deficiency can lead to various physical and mental health issues, including more severe insomnia, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. Improving sleep quality is often emphasized through sleep hygiene. An emerging nonpharmacological intervention is the use of weighted blankets, which apply deep-pressure stimulation to promote feelings of relaxation, comfort, and security similar to a gentle hug. This study explored the effects of weighted blankets on sleep quality and symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Thirty participants (M = 33 years, SD = 9.13) used weighted blankets for 14 nights. They completed the …

Tanzania Journal of Science
The quality of water used for the irrigation of leafy vegetables in urban settings is in doubt due to contamination associated with poor hygiene and water pollution. This study examined the microbiological quality of irrigation water and leafy vegetables at Chang’ombe in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania as well as the perceptions and level of awareness of nearby consumers. Water and leafy vegetable samples were analysed for faecal coliform (FC) using standard techniques. Perception and awareness of consumers were collected using a questionnaire survey. The results showed an average FC count of 406.1 ± 16.40 MPN/100 ml for the irrigation water. …

The surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) induces the aggregation of gold nanoclusters (GNCs), leading to the development of a proposed fluorometric technique for detecting thiocyanate (SCN-) ions based on an anti-aggregation mechanism. This approach is straightforward to execute, highly sensitive, and selective. A significant quenching effect occurs in fluorescence upon using the aggregation agent CTAB in GNCs synthesis, resulting in a transition from intense red fluorescence to dim red. The decrease in fluorescence intensity of GNCs in the presence of CTAB is caused by the mechanism of fluorescence quenching mediated by aggregation. As the levels of SCN- rise, the fluorescence of …

Background: Long-term survivors of childhood cancer face elevated risk for financial hardship. We evaluate whether childhood cancer survivors live in areas of greater deprivation and the association with self-reported financial hardships.
Methods: We performed a cross-sectional analysis of data from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study between 1970 and 1999 and self-reported financial information from 2017 to 2019. We measured neighborhood deprivation with the Area Deprivation Index (ADI) based on current zip code. Financial hardship was measured with validated surveys that captured behavioral, material and financial sacrifice, and psychological hardship. Bivariate analyses described neighborhood differences between survivors and siblings. Generalized linear …

136-Supporting School Garden Leaders: The Role Of Grassroots Gardens Of Western Ny, Arianna Whittaker
GREAT Day Posters
School gardens are extremely beneficial for students, providing a place for unstructured and active learning, with this hands-on approach to garden programs being shown to enhance interest in science concepts. However, school garden leaders (e.g., teachers, administrators, and school garden coordinators) face a multitude of challenges in both maintaining these gardens and using them for instructional spaces. Grassroots Gardens of Western NY (GGWNY), a non-profit organization working to support community and school gardens, provides a potential solution for these issues. My research examines how GGWNY addresses the support needs of school garden leaders. The research question guiding this project asks: …

Disparities In Housing Affordability By Income, Housing Tenure, And Race In Us Census-Designated Regions, Jeffery S. Bredthauer, Javed Iqbal, Christopher Decker
Mountain Plains Journal of Business and Technology
This analysis demonstrates that there are significant regional disparities in housing affordability among US Census-designated regions, with the Northeast and West consistently bearing the highest costs. Over time, the burdens incurred by both owners and tenants have lessened, but renters' burdens have grown considerably. Furthermore, significant regional differences in severely cost-burdened households are highlighted. The Northeast has more severely cost-burdened households than the Midwest, South, or West. There are also significant ethnic differences: Asian Americans experience a slightly lower housing cost burden, while African Americans and Native Americans bear the greatest burden, followed by Hispanics. To address these problems, legislative …
