Patch-Wise Training With Convolutional Neural Networks To Synthetically Upscale Cfd Simulations, John P. Romano, Alec C. Brodeur, Oktay Baysal

This paper expands the authors’ prior work[1], which focuses on developing a convolutional neural network (CNN) model capable of mapping time-averaged, unsteady Reynold’s-averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) simulations to higher resolution results informed by time-averaged detached eddy simulations (DES). The authors present improvements over the prior CNN autoencoder model that result from hyperparameter optimization, increased data set augmentation through the adoption of a patch-wise training approach, and the predictions of primitive variables rather than vorticity magnitude. สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ศึกษาแนวทางที่มีประสิทธิภาพและเหมาะสมสำหรับการดำเนินมาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัยของท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิ รวมถึงระบุปัญหาหรือข้อบกพร่องที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อมาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัยของท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิ เพื่อนำไปสู่แนวทางในการปรับปรุงและพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการรักษาความปลอดภัยทั้งในเชิงรุกและเชิงรับของท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิ โดยอาศัยกระบวนทัศน์ของแนวคิดและทฤษฎีต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยงานวิจัยนี้ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ผ่านการทบทวนเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกของผู้บริหารและเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการรักษา ความปลอดภัย ทั้งในสำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทยและในท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิ งานศึกษานี้พบว่า ท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิมีแนวทางในการพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการรักษา ความปลอดภัยที่มีศักยภาพ สามารถรับมือต่อภัยคุกคามที่เกิดขึ้นได้ตามมาตรฐานสากล รวมถึงปฏิบัติตามแผนรักษาความปลอดภัยต่าง ๆ ตามที่หน่วยงานภาครัฐกำหนดไว้ได้อย่างเหมาะสมและถูกต้อง อย่างไรก็ตาม อาจมีปัญหาและอุปสรรคที่ส่งผลต่อมาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัยของท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิบางประการ อาทิ ปัจจัยด้านบุคลากร ปัจจัยด้านการบริหารจัดการพื้นที่ ปัจจัยด้านภัยคุกคามจากภายนอก และปัจจัยด้านการตระหนักรู้ของผู้ที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง เป็นต้น ข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อการพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพของมาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัยของท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิ ประกอบด้วย 1) การบังคับใช้กฎหมายและมาตรการต่าง ๆ อย่างเข้มงวดและชัดเจน 2) การเพิ่มค่าตอบแทนให้ผู้ปฏิบัติงานเพื่อรักษาความต่อเนื่องในการปฏิบัติงาน 3) การสร้างความสมดุลระหว่างมาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัยและการอำนวยความสะดวกให้กับผู้ใช้บริการให้เหมาะสมยิ่งขึ้น 4) การเพิ่มการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้ประชาชนรับทราบถึงกฎระเบียบและข้อปฏิบัติในการใช้บริการสนามบิน และ 5) การเพิ่มบทลงโทษ หากตรวจพบผู้โดยสารนำพาสิ่งผิดกฎหมายหรือวัตถุต้องห้ามขึ้นอากาศยาน

The monumental changes emanating from the contemporary Supreme Court have now generated abundant commentary—but it remains possible to glean new insights if we review the Court’s work from an alternative perspective, one that does not often inform mainstream accounts. Drawing on insights from Disability Legal Studies and other critical approaches to law, as well as from the trenches of disability advocacy and civil litigation, this Article applies a “disability lens” to the Supreme Court’s 2021 and 2022 Terms. This study aims to understand the challenges and expectations of high school wrestlers, and how they are managing their social identities within the parameters of the sport. The rise of female wrestlers within the last decade and the hegemonic masculine roots of the sport show how imperative it is that research shed light into the unique experiences of high school wrestlers. Social identity theory was used as a theoretical framework and participants answered interview questions that discussed the three components of their social identity (i.e., cognitive, affective, and evaluative). For over 200 years, the “whole course of judicial decision” in the United States has recognized that American Indian tribes possess inherent sovereignty to govern their lands and people. Federal recognition of that sovereignty was memorialized in countless treaties, congressionally ratified agreements, and executive orders setting aside reservations throughout the United States. Throughout that same period, and with only minimal exception, the judiciary faithfully applied those treaties to protect tribal property rights, recognize tribal sovereignty, and bar states from imposing jurisdiction within Indian Country.

As participation in electronic sports (esports) continues to expand globally, colleges and universities are considering how such competitive video gaming might impact recruitment, retention, and the overall student engagement experience. This mixed-methods study focuses on the perceptions of college students in both the United States and Italy regarding the esports phenomenon. A compilation of the research findings from two case studies compared and contrasted themes associated with the benefits and risks to college students participating in esports. This paper analyzes the distribution of information about AIDS by the Black press from 1983 to 1990. The information in articles published by Amsterdam News, a historically black newspaper, evolves as experts release accurate AIDS information during the same period. The conspiracy theories and false claims attributing AIDS to other populations shown in earlier Amsterdam News publications are corrected over time by helpful, truthful information released by doctors, as shown in later articles. My research uncovers the use of euphemism by the Chinese government to spread false narratives and deny allegations of human rights abuses and genocidal acts against the Uyghur ethnic minority. Euphemistic names for policies like "vocational training centers" and "poverty alleviation" are rooted in information campaigns that deceitfully frame Chinese actions as positive and beneficent. Likewise, the Chinese government labels Uyghurs as terrorists, harmfully and falsely characterizing an entire ethnicity as criminal. AbstractPeer mediation (PM) programs implemented in schools promote resolution of disputes and conflicts among peers. Several benefits have been associated with young children involved in these programs including reductions in physical aggression, as well as learning skills involving communication, problem solving, and decision making. While positive outcomes have been observed, less was known about manager experiences involving coordinating PM programs. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore manager thoughts and experiences regarding their roles in PM programs and how they perceived strengths and weaknesses of these programs. Moral injury (MI) can emerge following transgressive acts against one’s deeply held moral beliefs. Its symptomology involves individual psychological, spiritual, behavioral, and social spheres. It has primarily been studied within the military and in a few select civilian populations. This descriptive phenomenological study involved exploring MI themes among adults with alcohol use disorder (AUD) who had engaged in criminally reckless acts. Data collected from semi-structured interviews with eight participants were coded and analyzed, leading to six major themes revealing the symptomology of MI. Responses from study participants supported Festinger’s theory of cognitive dissonance via their descriptions of alcohol abuse cycles …

It analyzes three biblical characters who may have appeared to have suffered from mental health symptoms and explores the latest literature on spiritual warfare and its connection to mental health. Advanced air mobility (AAM), of which urban air mobility (UAM) is a subset, signifies an exciting and advanced mode of air transportation that combines novel aircraft configurations with progressive levels of automation to offer convenient and efficient modes of air transportation (Mitchell et al., 2021). The design of these innovative aircraft will utilize advanced autonomous systems and are proposed to minimize pilot training requirements and scale operations (Mathur et al., 2019; Thipphavong, 2018).
