A Multinomial Classification And Prediction Model Utilizing Deep Learning For Malware Detection On Raspberry Pi Internet Of Things Devices Using Unrestrained Network Connections, Thomas A. Woolman
All-Inclusive List of Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This study explored the use of deep learning artificial intelligence, machine learning, and non-parametric statistics for successfully detecting various classes of malware attacks against Raspberry Pi hardware devices over unrestrained digital communication networks. Furthermore, the use of permutated tests of statistical significance were applied to these artificial intelligence and machine learning models for the purpose of providing scientific evidence for the statistical significance of the findings from the predictive classification models. Much effort has taken place in recent years to apply various types of machine learning (non-parametric statistical learning systems) to use case problems involving network intrusion detection and malware …
Midwives’ Experiences Of The Consequences Of Navigating Barriers To Maternity Care, Yakubu Ismaila, Sara Bayes, Sadie Geraghty
Midwives’ Experiences Of The Consequences Of Navigating Barriers To Maternity Care, Yakubu Ismaila, Sara Bayes, Sadie Geraghty
Research outputs 2022 to 2026
Midwives in Low- and middle-income countries, experience myriad barriers that have consequences for them and for maternity care. This article provides insight into the consequences of the barriers that Ghanaian midwives face in their workplaces. Glaserian Grounded Theory methodology using semi-structured interviews and non-participant observations was applied in this study. The study participants comprised of 29 midwives and a pharmacist, a social worker, a health services manager, and a National Insurance Scheme manager in Ghana. Data collection and analysis occurred concurrently while building on already analyzed data. In this study it was identified that barriers to Ghanaian midwives’ ability to …
Artificial Intelligence And Precision Health Through Lenses Of Ethics And Social Determinants Of Health: Protocol For A State-Of-The-Art Literature Review, Sarah Wamala-Andersson, Matt X. Richardson, Sara Landerdahl Stridsberg, Jillian Ryan, Felix Sukums, Yong-Shian Goh
Research outputs 2022 to 2026
Background: Precision health is a rapidly developing field, largely driven by the development of artificial intelligence (AI)–related solutions. AI facilitates complex analysis of numerous health data risk assessment, early detection of disease, and initiation of timely preventative health interventions that can be highly tailored to the individual. Despite such promise, ethical concerns arising from the rapid development and use of AI-related technologies have led to development of national and international frameworks to address responsible use of AI. Objective: We aimed to address research gaps and provide new knowledge regarding (1) examples of existing AI applications and what role they play …
Strategies That Small And Medium-Size Business Owners Use To Repay Bank Loan Obligations In Lagos, Nigeria, Taiwo Bamikole Ala
Strategies That Small And Medium-Size Business Owners Use To Repay Bank Loan Obligations In Lagos, Nigeria, Taiwo Bamikole Ala
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The failure of businesses to repay loans adversely affects credit markets. Small and medium-sized (SME) business owners in Lagos, Nigeria, are concerned because financial institutions are unwilling to provide credit because of the low loan repayment performance of those who have received credit in the past. Grounded in the theory of planned behavior, the purpose of this qualitative multiple-case study was to explore strategies some SME owners use to successfully repay bank loan obligations to sustain their businesses. The participants were three SME owners in Lagos, Nigeria, who successfully repaid their bank loans. Data were collected using semistructured interviews and …
Between Tradition And Transformation: A Feminist Investigation Of The Role Of Pastoral Women Within Tanzania's Integrated Environment And Development Landscape, Kelli Erin Rogers
Between Tradition And Transformation: A Feminist Investigation Of The Role Of Pastoral Women Within Tanzania's Integrated Environment And Development Landscape, Kelli Erin Rogers
Graduate Student Theses, Dissertations, & Professional Papers
Pastoral women hold pivotal social and environmental roles within their communities. Equally and actively engaging pastoral women in processes to conserve and sustainably use rangeland resources has therefore become an important focus for integrated environment and development intervention. In northern Tanzania, pastoral women find themselves at the center of gender equality efforts, which attempt to translate gender and environment theory into conservation action that elevates pastoral women’s historically unheard voices. Along the way, particular global narratives have positioned pastoral women alternately as passive beneficiaries or as powerful allies in biodiversity conservation and natural resource management. Although the importance of integrating …

Adoption And Use Of Plagiarism Software By Postgraduate Students In Universities In South-West, Nigeria, Olusegun Adebayo Opesanwo, Hannah Okon Anwana
Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
Over the years, there has been an increase awakening on plagiarism and the need to curb it, especially among postgraduate students. Hence, the need for them to have a good knowledge of plagiarism software.
This study investigates the adoption and use of plagiarism software among postgraduate students in universities in South-west Nigeria. Employing a survey research design and random sampling, thirty-four postgraduate students from each of the universities were selected.
The findings of the study revealed a moderate level of awareness among the respondents regarding the availability of plagiarism software. The frequency of use was also found to be low, …

Dissemination Of Agro-Based Information By Telecentres Among Selected Rural Farmers In Tanzania With A Focus On Moshi Rural District, Kilimanjaro Region, Neema Florence Mosha Dr, Edith Talina Luhanga Dr, Pascal Nade Dr, Patrick Ngulube Prof
Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
The study assessed the role of Telecentres in the dissemination of agro-based information among selected farmers in rural areas of Tanzania. A cross-sectional study design was conducted in Moshi Rural District, in Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. A total of 442 rural farmers aged 21-60 years were randomly selected as study respondents. Questionnaires were used to collect data from respondents. The study found that 205 (55%) respondents were not aware of the existence and services offered among Telecentres, whereas only 12 (7%) respondents reported visiting Telecentres once per day, and 70 (41%) once per year. A total of 140 respondents selected computer …
Frequency Analysis Of A New Empirical Model To Predict Underwater Transmission Loss During Impact Pile Driving, Mariam S. Makoleo
Frequency Analysis Of A New Empirical Model To Predict Underwater Transmission Loss During Impact Pile Driving, Mariam S. Makoleo
UNF Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Over the years, anthropogenic noise generated by pile driving activities has increased, posing a significant concern for marine organisms and their ecosystems. This study aims to entail a comprehensive frequency analysis of a new empirical model to predict underwater transmission loss during impact pile driving. To achieve this objective, extensive data collection was undertaken, and spectral and frequency analyses were conducted to examine the frequency content and attenuation patterns of the sound. The results of the study reveal that sound attenuation is frequency-dependent. Notably, low frequencies, typically below 100 Hz, and very high frequencies, approximately 10 kHz, were found to …
