Deep learning methods for image segmentation and contouring are gaining prominence as an automated approach for delineating anatomical structures in medical images during radiation treatment planning. These contours are used to guide radiotherapy treatment planning, so it is important that contouring errors are flagged before they are used for planning. This creates a need for effective quality assurance methods to enable the clinical use of automated contours in radiotherapy. We propose a novel method for contour quality assurance that requires only shape features, making it independent of the platform used to obtain the images. Our method uses a random forest …

Sickness behavior was conceptualized initially as the behavioral counterpart of the fever response to infectious pathogens. It helps to raise body temperature to its higher setpoint and to maintain it at this new level and it has the additional benefit of enabling a weakened organism to protect itself from other dangers. The discovery of the behavioral effects of proinflammatory cytokines produced by activated immune cells provided a cellular and molecular basis to this phenomenon. Introduction: Short episodes of ischemia-reperfusion (IR) in the heart (classical ischemic preconditioning, IPC) or in a limb (remote ischemic preconditioning, RIPC) before a prolonged ischemic episode, reduce the size of the infarct. It is unknown whether IPC and RIPC share common mechanisms of protection. Animals KO for NOX2, a superoxide-producing enzyme, or KO for NLRP3, a protein component of inflammasome, are not protected by IPC. Evading apoptosis has been linked to tumor development and chemoresistance. One mechanism for this evasion is the overexpression of prosurvival B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2) family proteins, which gives cancer cells a survival advantage. Mcl-1, a member of the BCL-2 family, is among the most frequently amplified genes in cancer. Targeting myeloid cell leukemia-1 (MCL-1) protein is a successful strategy to induce apoptosis and overcome tumor resistance to chemotherapy and targeted therapy. Various strategies to inhibit the antiapoptotic activity of MCL-1 protein, including transcription, translation, and the degradation of MCL-1 protein, have been tested. Survival In Common Snapping Turtles, Chelydra Serpentina (Testudines: Chelydridae), In Western Nebraska, John B. Iverson, Geoffrey R. Smith

Annual estimates of survival for Common Snapping Turtles (Chelydra serpentina) in western Nebraska USA were generated from mark-recapture data from nesting females encountered in 2005–2017. Our population models suggested no annual variation in either adult annual survival (0.947 ± 0.017 SE) or annual capture probability (0.294 ± 0.027 SE). However, there was a tendency toward higher survival in larger females. High annual survival (e.g. > 90%) characterises populations of Chelydra from Ontario to Texas.

Great Salt Lake is the largest saline lake in the Western Hemisphere (Wilsey et al. 2017) and plays an important role in Utah’s economy, environment, and ecology (Baxter and Butler 2020; Great Salt Lake Advisory Committee 2021). It has a long history of commercial and recreational activities including mineral production, brine shrimp harvesting, waterfowl hunting, boating, and sightseeing (Utah Department of Natural Resources 2013a, 2013b). Back-to-back marine heatwaves in 2016 and 2017 resulted in severe coral bleaching and mortality across the Great Barrier Reef (GBR). Encouragingly, some corals that survived these events exhibit increased bleaching resistance and may represent thermally tolerant populations that can better cope with ocean warming. Using the GBR as a natural laboratory, we investigated whether a history of minimal (Heron Island) or severe (Lizard Island) coral bleaching in 2016 and 2017 equates to stress tolerance in a successive heatwave (2020). Mesophotic corals live at ~30-150 m depth and can sustain metabolic processes under light-limited conditions by enhancing autotrophy through specialized photoadaptations or increasing heterotrophic nutrient acquisition. These acclimatory processes are often species-specific, however mesophotic ecosystems are largely unexplored and acclimation limits for most species are unknown. Basal-like breast cancer (BBC) and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) are poor-prognosis cancers that lack effective targeted therapies and harbor embryonic stem gene expression signatures. Recently, our group and others found that forkhead box transcription factor FOXO1 promotes stem gene expression in BBC and GBM cell lines. Nilgai antelope, Boselaphus tragocamelus and white-tailed deer (WTD), Odocoileus virginianus are hosts of cattle fever ticks, Rhipicephalus (=Boophilus) microplus, in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Daily use of water troughs and ponds were observed to determine if these locations could be used for field treatment methods for cattle fever ticks using remotely operated field sprayers. Game cameras (n=16) were deployed between June 2020 and September 2022 at two private ranches in Cameron County, TX. White women continue to contribute to the reproduction and maintenance of White supremacy even when they attempt to pursue antiracism. To better understand their antiracist agency, this study analyzed White women’s experiences and comprehension of White womanhood. Using phenomenology and critical autoethnography, this qualitative study invited six self-proclaimed antiracist White women to participate in individual interviews, attend two focus groups, and reflect on five guided prompts on White womanhood and antiracist action. The study revealed antiracist White women’s feelings of responsibility and lack of perceived agency for antiracist action. This chapter recounts the American Law Institute’s (ALI’s) history in its formative era (1923–1945), drawing from archival sources to deepen existing accounts of the ALI’s self-definition as an ongoing institution. The history is more complex than it appears in prior accounts because institutional necessities—including funding—as well as multiple contingencies shaped both the ALI and its work. Likewise, the ALI’s signal work in this period, the Restatement, departed in significant ways from its original plan. Generating the revenues requisite to its ongoing existence required that the ALI partner with commercial publishers and, at their urging, separately publish Annotations for each Restatement …

Hemoplasma is commonly used to refer to hemotropic Mycoplasma bacterial species belonging to the genus Mycoplasma that can attach to the surface of red blood cells, potentially leading to hemolytic anemia. These organisms can infect a wide range of mammals, including companion animals and humans worldwide. Specifically for companion animals, two main hemoplasma species can infect dogs, and three major species can infect cats including Mycoplasma haemocanis, Candidatus Mycoplasma haematoparvum, Mycoplasma haemofelis, Candidatus Mycoplasma haemominutum, and Candidatus Mycoplasma turicensis, respectively. เอกัตศึกษานี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อหาแนวทางการพัฒนาตัวชี้วัดด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมให้สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน และยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ เนื่องจากการเติบโตของอุตสาหกรรมอย่างรวดเร็ว ทำให้เกิดปัญหาสภาพแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่เสื่อมโทรม ดังนั้น จำเป็นจะต้องมีแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้น จากแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนที่มีหลักการใช้ทรัพยากรให้เกิดประสิทธิภาพที่สุดควบคู่ไปกับการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคม การศึกษานี้จึงต้องการพัฒนาตัวชี้วัดด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมให้สอดล้องกับแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน และแนวทางตามยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ ซึ่งเป็นแผนการกำหนดทิศทางการพัฒนาประเทศ วิธีการศึกษาคือการศึกษาพระราชบัญญัติโรงงาน พ.ศ. 2535 ซึ่งเป็นกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมที่ได้นำหลักการของเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนมาปรับใช้ ทำให้สามารถวิเคราะห์ตัวชี้วัดด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมในปัจจุบันที่สอดคล้องแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน โดยนำมาเปรียบเทียบกับตัวชี้วัดของแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน ตัวชี้วัดของแผนยุทธศาสตร์ชาติที่สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน และตัวชี้วัดกฎหมายส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนในสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ซึ่งเป็นประเทศที่มีกฎหมายส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนและประกาศใช้ตัวชี้วัดของกฎหมายอย่างเป็นทางการ ทำให้เป็นตัวอย่างในการเปรียบเทียบเพื่อหาแนวทางการพัฒนาตัวชี้วัดของกฎหมายโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมไทยที่สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนและยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ ผู้เขียนได้เสนอให้ใช้ตัวชี้วัดด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งจะต้องสอดคล้องกับแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนและยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ โดยครอบคลุมถึงกระบวนการทางอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งสามารถสรุปตัวชี้วัดเป็น 4 ขั้นตอน ดังนี้ 1) ขั้นตอนการแสวงหาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ควรมีตัวชี้วัด คือ ผลิตภาพทรัพยากร 2) ขั้นตอนการเปลี่ยนวัสดุดิบและทรัพยากรธรรมชาติให้กลายเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ ควรมีตัวชี้วัด คือ อัตราการใช้ประโยชน์จากทรัพยากร อัตราการใช้ทรัพยากรต่อหน่วย GDP 3) ขั้นตอนการนำวัสดุและทรัพยากรที่เหลือใช้มาปรับผลผลิตให้กลายเป็นวัตถุดิบหรือทรัพยากรขั้นทุติยภูมิ ควรมีตัวชี้วัด คือ อัตราการใช้ทรัพยากรขั้นทุติยภูมิ อัตราการรีไซเคิลทรัพยากรทุติยภูมิ อัตราการใช้ประโยชน์วัสดุหมุนเวียนในการเพิ่มมูลค่าอุตสาหกรรม ปริมาณการฟื้นตัวของทรัพยากรหมุนเวียน4) ขั้นตอนการกลับคืนสู่ธรรมชาติของทรัพยากร ควรมีตัวชี้วัด คือ ปริมาณการกำจัดขยะสิ่งปฏิกูลหรือวัสดุที่ไม่ใช้แล้วอย่างปลอดภัย ปริมาณการปล่อยมลพิษที่สำคัญ จำนวนประชาชนมีจิตสาธารณะและรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม โดยตัวชี้วัดที่เป็นรูปธรรมชัดเจนที่คำนึงถึงการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ จะทำให้มีเครื่องมือที่สามารถติดตามและประเมินผลทำให้เกิดการบรรลุผลตามเป้าหมายที่ตั้งไว้ตามยุทธศาสตร์ชาติและความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ ในขณะเดียวกันก็เป็นประโยชน์ต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรธรรมชาติควบคู่ไปกับการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคม

เอกัตศึกษานี้มุ่งศึกษาปัญหาและความเหมาะสมในการกำหนดฐานความผิดอาญาสำหรับการหลอกลวงว่ามีวัตถุระเบิดอันอาจก่อให้เกิดความโกลาหล สืบเนื่องจากการกระทำในลักษณะหลอกลวงว่ามีระเบิดหรือขู่วางระเบิดตามกฎหมายไทยไม่ได้ถูกบัญญัติไว้เป็นการเฉพาะ แต่มีบทบัญญัติหลักที่ใช้บังคับคือ ประมวลกฎหมายอาญา มาตรา 384 ซึ่งอยู่ในภาคลหุโทษ มีระวางโทษจำคุกไม่เกินหนึ่งเดือน หรือปรับไม่เกินหนึ่งหมื่นบาท หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ การกำหนดโทษทางอาญาตามมาตราดังกล่าวจึงไม่สอดคล้องแก่ความร้ายแรงของการกระทำความผิดที่อาจก่อให้เกิดความโกลาหลแก่สังคมได้ จากการศึกษาพบว่า เมื่อเทียบกับความร้ายแรงของการหลอกลวงว่ามีระเบิดหรือขู่วางระเบิดซึ่งก่อให้เกิดความแตกตื่นตกใจแก่ประชาชนหรือถึงขั้นเกิดการบาดเจ็บหรือเสียชีวิต ประมวลกฎหมายอาญา มาตรา 384 ไม่สามารถป้องกันและยับยั้งการกระทำความผิดดังกล่าวได้ อีกทั้งจากการเปรียบเทียบกับกฎหมายของต่างประเทศ ได้แก่ ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ประเทศอังกฤษ และประเทศฝรั่งเศส พบว่าทั้งสามประเทศมีบทบัญญัติความผิดอาญาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการหลอกลวงว่ามีระเบิดไว้เป็นการเฉพาะและจัดเป็นอาชญากรรมที่มีความร้ายแรงจึงมีอัตราโทษที่ค่อนข้างสูง ดังนั้น เอกัตศึกษาฉบับนี้จึงเสนอให้กำหนดฐานความผิดอาญาสำหรับการหลอกลวงว่ามีวัตถุระเบิดอันอาจก่อให้เกิดความโกลาหลขึ้นมาใหม่ เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาความแตกต่างของโทษทางอาญาสำหรับการกระทำความผิดอย่างเดียวกันในการหลอกลวงว่ามีระเบิดและปัญหาเรื่องสัดส่วนการลงโทษที่ไม่สอดคล้องกับความร้ายแรงของการกระทำความผิด

เอกัตศึกษาฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางปรับปรุงเหตุฉกรรจ์สำหรับความผิดฐานมีไว้ครอบครองซึ่งยาเสพติดและวัตถุออกฤทธิ์ให้สอดคล้องกับหลักการลงโทษที่ได้สัดส่วน โดยผู้วิจัยมุ่งศึกษาทั้งแนวคิดและทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้อง พัฒนาการของกฎหมายยาเสพติดไทยและแนวทางการตีความของศาลฎีกา ตลอดจนศึกษาในเชิงเปรียบเทียบกับพันธกรณีระหว่างประเทศและบทบัญญัติในกฎหมายยาเสพติดของต่างประเทศ เพื่อนำมาวิเคราะห์และเสนอแนะแนวทางปรับปรุงเหตุฉกรรจ์สำหรับฐานความผิดดังกล่าวให้มีความเหมาะสมมากยิ่งขึ้นจากการศึกษาพบว่า แม้ประมวลกฎหมายยาเสพติดมีเจตนารมณ์ในการลงโทษผู้กระทำความผิดให้เหมาะสมกับบทบาทของผู้กระทำและความร้ายแรงของความผิด รวมถึงกำหนดให้ผู้บังคับใช้กฎหมายคำนึงถึงพฤติการณ์ประกอบการกระทำความผิดอื่น ๆ นอกเหนือจากปริมาณยาเสพติดในคดีด้วยก็ตาม อย่างไรก็ดี บทบัญญัติเหตุฉกรรจ์หลายกรณีตามประมวลกฎหมายยาเสพติดได้ใช้ถ้อยคำที่กว้างขวางและมิได้มีนิยามกำหนดไว้อย่างชัดเจน กล่าวคือ เหตุฉกรรจ์กรณีการกระทำเพื่อการค้า, เหตุฉกรรจ์กรณีการก่อให้เกิดการแพร่กระจายในกลุ่มประชาชน และเหตุฉกรรจ์กรณีการทำให้เกิดผลกระทบต่อความมั่นคงของรัฐหรือความปลอดภัยของประชาชนทั่วไป ซึ่งเมื่อนำมาปรับใช้กับความผิดฐานมีไว้ครอบครองซึ่งยาเสพติด ย่อมก่อให้เกิดปัญหาในการตีความและบังคับใช้อย่างมาก เนื่องจากลักษณะของความผิดฐานมีไว้ครอบครองซึ่งยาเสพติดนั้นมิได้มีพฤติการณ์ประกอบการกระทำความผิดที่บ่งชี้ถึงเจตนาตามเหตุฉกรรจ์ได้ชัดเจนเท่ากับความผิดฐานอื่น ๆ จนในท้ายที่สุด ผู้บังคับใช้กฎหมายมักจะตีความเหตุฉกรรจ์ดังกล่าวตามอัตวิสัย ซึ่งก่อให้เกิดผลลักลั่นกันในแต่ละคดี และทำให้การลงโทษผู้กระทำความผิดไม่สอดคล้องกับหลักการลงโทษที่ได้สัดส่วนอย่างแท้จริง ดังนั้น ผู้วิจัยจึงเสนอแนวทางในการปรับปรุงแก้ไขโครงสร้างบทบัญญัติและเหตุฉกรรจ์สำหรับความผิดฐานมีไว้ครอบครองซึ่งยาเสพติด เพื่อให้การบังคับใช้เหตุฉกรรจ์สำหรับความผิดฐานดังกล่าว มีขอบเขตที่ชัดเจนเป็นธรรม และสอดคล้องหลักการลงโทษที่ได้ส่วนมากยิ่งขึ้น

Boundaries, drawn by partition and geopolitics, and binds set by religion, economic, elitist (traditionalist/conservative), or social hierarchy, create new subcultures (minorities) in their areas of settlement. Centuries of colonialism and turmoil at borderlines have given birth to dispersed and displaced communities. งานวิจัยการออกแบบเรขศิลป์แบรนด์เครื่องหอมโดยใช้แนวคิดกฎจักรวาลมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหากลยุทธ์และแนวทางในการออกแบบเรขศิลป์แบรนด์เครื่องหอมโดยใช้แนวคิดกฎจักรวาล ขั้นตอนและวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย โดยการรวบรวมข้อมูลและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลของกลิ่นจาก Fragrance Wheel ของ Michael Edwards และความต้องการของมนุษย์ที่เหมาะสมกับแนวคิดกฎจักรวาล 12 ข้อ รวมถึงรวบรวมข้อมูลและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลการตลาด Business Model Canvas, SWOT Analysis, 4Ps Marketing และ Brand Position เทียบกับแบรนด์เครื่องหอมตัวอย่างเพื่อหาแนวทางที่เหมาะสม จากบทความ ดิจิทัลแพลตฟอร์ม งานวิจัย และสื่ออินเทอร์เน็ต โดยนำข้อมูลจากการวิเคราะห์มาสร้างแบบสอบถามและสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มเป้าหมายและผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการออกแบบ ทำให้ได้ข้อมูลที่นำมาใช้ในการออกแบบต่อไป สรุปผลวิจัยพบว่า สารที่ต้องการจะสื่อ คือ Scent Scenario เพราะกลิ่นนั้นเชื่อมโยงกับความคิดและความทรงจำ และบุคลิกภาพของงานที่เหมาะสม คือ AROMATIC (ดูมีกลิ่นหอม), CHIC (เก๋, เท่, ทันสมัยแบบผู้ดี) และ CHARMING (มีเสน่ห์, ดูน่าหลงใหล) และแนวทางการออกแบบเรขศิลป์ที่เหมาะสม คือ การออกแบบตราสัญลักษณ์แบบ Abstract Logo Mark, ตัวอักษรแบบ Serif และการออกแบบบรรจุภัณฑ์แบบ Maximalist Design

งานศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการก่อตัวของรูปแบบ โครงสร้างและวงจรหนี้สินของข้าราชการครูภายในกลไกระบบราชการด้านการศึกษาของรัฐ โดยศึกษากลุ่มข้าราชการครูสังกัดคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน (สพฐ.) เป็นหลัก พบว่าลักษณะของการก่อตัวของหนี้สินข้าราชการครูและปัจจัยสนับสนุนให้เกิดปัญหา เกิดขึ้นจากพัฒนาการของความพยายามในการแก้ไขปัญหาคุณภาพชีวิตของข้าราชการครูด้วยการจัดสวัสดิการให้กับข้าราชการครูในแต่ละยุคสมัย ส่งผลต่อการสะสมหนี้สินของข้าราชการครู อีกทั้งการกำหนดให้มีระบบสวัสดิการหลากหลายรูปแบบ โดยเฉพาะสวัสดิการทางการเงินส่งผลให้เกิดโอกาสการเข้าถึงการใช้สินเชื่ออย่างรอบด้านในกลุ่มข้าราชการครู กอปรกับการสร้างเงื่อนไขการทำงานให้กับข้าราชการครู อาทิเช่น การสร้างภาระงานที่นอกเหนือการจัดการเรียนการสอน การมอบภาระหน้าที่ที่สร้างภาระค่าใช้จ่ายให้ข้าราชการครูที่ลดทอนความสามารถทางการเงินของครู โครงสร้างการบังคับบัญชาที่ทำให้ข้าราชการครูต้องรับภาระตามคำสั่ง ทำให้โครงสร้างในระบบการศึกษาสร้างเงื่อนไขหลายด้านที่ส่งผลให้เกิดปัญหาภาระการค่าใช้จ่ายที่มีผลต่อภาระหนี้สิน การดำเนินไปของปัญหาอย่างต่อเนื่องด้วยการแก้ไขแต่ปัญหาเฉพาะหน้าจึงส่งผลให้เกิดวงจรหนี้สินในหมู่ข้าราชการครู และพัฒนากลายเป็นปัญหาที่ยกระดับสู่ปัญหาเชิงนโยบายและมีผลต่อระบบโครงสร้างระบบราชการ อย่างไรก็ตามปัญหาหนี้สินจะไม่สามารถแก้ไขได้อย่างเบ็ดเสร็จหากไม่เริ่มต้นด้วยการปรับโครงสร้างภาระหน้าที่และกรอบกำกับระบบภาระงาน รวมถึงดำเนินสร้างการจำกัดการเข้าถึงสวัสดิการด้วยสิทธิ์ข้าราชการให้มีขอบเขตตามระดับอายุงานหรือตำแหน่งของข้าราชการครูให้ชัดเจนเพื่อแก้ไขและลดทอนปัญหาการก่อหนี้ของข้าราชการครูรุ่นใหม่ในอนาคตและสกัดกั้นมูลหนี้ก้อนใหม่เข้าสู่การเป็นปัญหาหนี้สินในอนาคต

ประสบการณ์ที่กระทบกระเทือนจิตใจของผู้ต้องขังหญิงและแนวทางการดูแล, ยศวดี ทิพยมงคลอุดม

งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสบการณ์การได้รับความรุนแรงของผู้ต้องขังหญิง และศึกษาผลกระทบของการถูกใช้ความรุนแรงต่อผู้ต้องขังหญิง พร้อมศึกษาแนวทางของเรือนจำในการดูแลผู้ต้องขังหญิงที่มีประสบการณ์ถูกใช้ความรุนแรง การวิจัยนี้ใช้วิธีการศึกษาแบบผสมผสานระหว่างเชิงปริมาณและเชิงโดยการเก็บข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณผ่านการสำรวจแบบสอบถามกับผู้ต้องขังหญิง จำนวน 150 คน และการเก็บข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพผ่านการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับผู้ต้องขังหญิง 15 คนและเจ้าหน้าที่เรือนจำ จำนวน 11 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ร้อยละ 48 ของผู้ต้องขังหญิงเคยถูกกระทำความรุนแรงทางร่างกาย ร้อยละ 12.7 เคยถูกกระทำความรุนแรงทางเพศ และร้อยละ 43.3 เคยถูกกระทำความรุนแรงด้านจิตใจ ความรุนแรงดังกล่าวส่งผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพกาย เช่น นอนไม่หลับ รับประทานอาหารได้น้อยลง ได้รับบาดเจ็บถึงขั้นสูญเสียอวัยวะหรือพิการ และส่งผลต่อสุขภาพจิต เช่น เครียด วิตกกังวลคิดวนเวียนซ้ำๆ เรื่องเดิม ความรุนแรงนี้ยังส่งผลให้ผู้ต้องขังหญิงบางคนมีปัญหาสุขภาพจิตที่รุนแรง เป็นระยะเวลานานถึงขั้นเป็นบาดแผลในใจจนถึงปัจจุบัน ผลการประเมินผลกระทบทางจิตใจหลังเกิดเหตุการณ์สะเทือนขวัญ พบว่า ร้อยละ 47.3 ของผู้ต้องขังหญิงได้รับผลกระทบทางจิตใจหลังเกิดเหตุการณ์สะเทือนขวัญอยู่ในระดับทุกข์ทรมานทางจิตใจเล็กน้อยถึงรุนแรง โดยมีผู้ต้องขังหญิงกว่า 1 ใน 5 มีระดับผลกระทบทางจิตใจหลังเกิดเหตุการณ์สะเทือนขวัญอยู่ในระดับทุกข์ทรมานทางจิตใจมากและระดับทุกข์ทรมานทางจิตใจรุนแรง ซึ่งอาการต่างๆ เหล่านี้ควรที่จะได้รับคำปรึกษาจากจิตแพทย์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางในการให้คำปรึกษา แนวทางของเรือนจำในการดูแลผู้ต้องขังหญิงที่มีประสบการณ์ถูกใช้ความรุนแรง ประกอบด้วยแนวทางที่เรือนจำปฏิบัติเป็นหลัก จะมุ่งที่การจำแนกผู้ต้องขังเข้าใหม่เพื่อคัดกรองผู้ต้องขังและการดูแลเบื้องต้นด้านสภาพจิตใจ นอกจากนี้ ในเรือนจำยังมีอาสาสมัครเรือนจำเพื่อช่วยเหลือเจ้าหน้าที่ในการดูแลผู้ต้องขัง ทั้งด้านสุขภาพร่างกายและสุขภาพจิต หากแต่เรือนจำไม่ได้มีโปรแกรมเฉพาะสำหรับผู้ต้องขังที่มีประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับความรุนแรง โดยข้อจำกัดในการดูแลผู้ต้องขังหญิงที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากความรุนแรงก่อนเข้าเรือนจำ ได้แก่ การไม่เปิดใจหรือความไม่ไว้วางใจของผู้ต้องขัง การขาดแคลนเจ้าหน้าที่ส่งผลต่อภาระงานที่มากเกินไป ข้อจำกัดด้านงบประมาณ สถานที่ การส่งต่อข้อมูลผู้ต้องขัง และทัศนคติของผู้ต้องขังอื่นในเรือนจำข้อเสนอแนะสำคัญจากการวิจัยนี้ ได้แก่ ควรมีการพัฒนานโยบายด้านการดูแลปัญหาสุขภาพจิตและการฟื้นฟูผู้ต้องขังหญิงที่มีประวัติความรุนแรงอย่างเป็นระบบ การปรับปรุงพื้นที่เรือนจำให้เอื้อต่อการบำบัดฟื้นฟูผู้ต้องขังหญิงที่มีประสบการณ์ถูกใช้ความรุนแรง รวมถึงการฝึกอบรมและพัฒนาทักษะเจ้าหน้าที่เรือนจำให้มีความรู้ความเข้าใจในการให้คำปรึกษาและการดูแลผู้ต้องขังหญิง ควรจัดโปรแกรมฝึกอบรมผู้ต้องขังที่มุ่งเสริมสร้างความมั่นใจและการเยียวยาด้านจิตใจ ควรสนับสนุนการบูรณาการบริการด้านสุขภาพจิตในเรือนจำให้ครอบคลุมและเทียบเท่ากับบริการในชุมชน รวมถึงใช้เทคโนโลยีในการให้บริการและการดำเนินงาน ควรพัฒนาระบบการสอบประวัติและแบบสอบถามคัดกรองอาการทางสุขภาพจิต การให้คำปรึกษาและการดูแลทางจิตวิทยาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยจัดโปรแกรมเสริมทักษะต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการดูแลและเยียวยาตนเองสำหรับผู้ต้องขังหญิงที่มีประสบการณ์ถูกใช้ความรุนแรงเพื่อให้สามารถคืนคนดีกลับสู่สังคมได้อย่างแท้จริง

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้การมีอยู่และการเลือกปฏิบัติต่อพนักงานสอบสวนเกย์ อีกทั้งศึกษาสภาพปัญหาและผลกระทบของการเลือกปฏิบัติ ตลอดจนเสนอแนะแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้น การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เอกสารและสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 31 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่าคนในสังคมไทยรับรู้ถึงการมีอยู่ตัวตนพนักงานสอบสวนเกย์ พวกเขาต้องทำงานในสภาพแวดล้อมที่มีความคาดหวังเกี่ยวกับบทบาทและลักษณะการแสดงออกของเพศชายตามค่านิยมสังคมไทยและต้องปกปิดรสนิยมทางเพศที่ถูกจำกัดอยู่ในกลุ่มเพื่อนสนิทที่เข้าใจและยอมรับ ปัญหาที่พบมี 4 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) การใช้สรรพนามที่ไม่เหมาะสม 2) การล้อเลียนและคุกคามทางเพศ 3) การมอบหมายงานที่ไม่สำคัญ และ 4) การเลื่อนขั้นที่ไม่เป็นธรรม ส่งผลกระทบต่อพนักงานสอบสวนเกย์ 3 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) เกิดความอับอายและความเครียด 2) ถูกจำกัดโอกาสความก้าวหน้าในอาชีพ และ 3) ขาดความมั่นใจในตนเอง แนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาของสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติควรเน้นการสร้างความเท่าเทียมและการยอมรับความหลากหลายทางเพศ โดยคำนึงถึงสิทธิในการไม่ถูกเลือกปฏิบัติ สิทธิในการแสดงออกและความคิดเห็นอย่างเสรี และสิทธิในความเป็นส่วนตัวตามหลักยอกยาการ์ตา อีกทั้งควรนำแนวทางขององค์กรแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ (ILO) และสหประชาชาติ (UN) มาปรับใช้เพื่อลดการเลือกปฏิบัติและส่งเสริมความเท่าเทียมในที่ทำงาน

The researcher examined and compared the difference in the instructional formats of 1:1 discrete trial teaching and small-group discrete trial teaching. The problem addressed by this study was that the turnover rate among social workers has been highest for Black female child-welfare caseworkers. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to understand the experiences of Black female child-welfare caseworkers and effective strategies for retention. Ten experienced Black female caseworkers in child welfare were interviewed; participants represented five U.S. states. Participants were asked about mentorship programs, preservice training, financial incentives, major concerns related to retention, and recommendations for retention initiatives to specifically address the needs of Black female caseworkers.
