การศึกษานี้ศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการนำเอไอแชทบอทมาใช้เป็นที่ปรึกษาด้านความรัก ความสัมพันธ์ของคนไทยในรูปแบบแอปพลิเคชัน โดยใช้เทคโนโลยี NLP และ ChatGPT4 เพื่อให้เอไอมีการใช้ภาษาอย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ ใกล้เคียงกับการให้คำปรึกษาโดยมนุษย์ และสามารถโต้ตอบเป็นภาษาไทย ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้ผู้ใช้งานโดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายหลักคือคนไทย ได้รับคำปรึกษาด้านความรัก ความสัมพันธ์ที่เหมาะสมในแต่ละบุคคล เพื่อทำให้ผู้ใช้มีที่ปรึกษาด้านความรักของตนเอง อีกทั้งยังรู้สึกเสมือนได้พูดคุยกับเพื่อนที่พร้อมรับฟัง ช่วยแก้ปัญหา ปลอมประโลมจิตใจตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง ซึ่งแอปพลิเคชันถูกออกแบบให้ใช้งานง่าย และคาดหวังว่าจะสามารถช่วยแก้ปัญหาความรัก ความสัมพันธ์ในสังคมไทยได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ งานวิจัยนี้ได้กล่าวถึงการสํารวจและวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรมด้านความรัก รวมถึงความต้องการใช้แอปพลิเคชันของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง จากการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่มีประสบการณ์ด้านความรัก จำนวน 10 คน และใช้แบบสอบถามสำรวจการยอมรับในนวัตกรรมแอปพลิเคชัน AIU+ แชทบอทที่ปรึกษาด้านความรักจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 156 คน จากการสำรวจการยอมรับในแอปพลิเคชันพบว่าผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามมีความสนใจในแอปพลิเคชัน AIU+ แชทบอทที่ปรึกษาด้านความรักร้อยละ 94.9 จากนั้นจึงนำผลการศึกษาดังกล่าวมาออกแบบกลยุทธ์ทางการตลาดที่เหมาะสม เพื่อต่อยอดในเชิงพาณิชย์ต่อไป

วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาศึกษาพลวัตและโครงสร้างทางอำนาจของรัฐผ่านรัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทยฉบับปี พ.ศ. 2521 พ.ศ. 2540 และ พ.ศ. 2560 และ ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐราชการไทยและกลุ่มทุนผ่านแนวคิดสถาบันนิยมใหม่แนวประวัติศาสตร์ โดยพิจารณาผ่านกรอบสภาวะเส้นบังคับ (Path Dependence) และจุดเปลี่ยนที่สำคัญ (Critical Juncture) และแนวคิดรัฐราชการ (Bureaucratic Polity) โดยรัฐราชการไทยมีรากฐานมาจากการรวมอำนาจของคณะราษฎรและทหารหลังการปฏิวัติในปี พ.ศ. 2475 ซึ่งสร้างระบบที่ข้าราชการพลเรือนและทหารมีบทบาทสำคัญในการบริหารประเทศ การเปลี่ยนแปลงรัฐธรรมนูญในแต่ละครั้งทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงในโครงสร้างอำนาจใหม่ และเกิดการปรับตัวของรัฐราชการรวมไปถึงการเปลี่ยนผ่านอำนาจ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ภายใต้รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย พ.ศ. 2521 มีโครงสร้างแบบรวมศูนย์อำนาจไว้ในมือของรัฐบาล ทั้งนี้รัฐธรรมนูญได้มาจากการรัฐประหารส่งผลให้กลุ่มผู้มีอำนาจจากการรัฐประหารสามารถกำหนดโครงสร้างในรัฐธรรมนูญผ่านการจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการร่างรัฐธรรมนูญและกำหนดให้วุฒิสภามาจากการแต่งตั้งทั้งหมด ทำให้เป็นรูปแบบของรัฐราชการ โดยความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐและกลุ่มทุนในช่วงของรัฐบาลเปรม จากวิกฤตน้ำมันทำให้ นโยบายเศรษฐกิจของประเทศมุ่งเน้นการผลิตแบบอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อทดแทนการน้ำเข้า และได้เปิดโอกาสให้ภาคเอกชนเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดนโยบาย ทั้งยังมีการดำเนินนโยบายแบบส่งเสริมการผลิตและการส่งออก รวมถึงโครงการสนับสนุนทางภาษีให้การลงทุนของต่างประเทศ ภายใต้โครงการอีสเทิร์นซีบอร์ด ทำให้บทบาทของกลุ่มทุนธนาคารและทุนอุตสาหกรรมค่อนข้างเด่นชัด ผ่านคณะกรรมการร่วมภาครัฐและเอกชน ภายใต้รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย พ.ศ. 2540 มีการเปลี่ยนขั้วอำนาจทางการเมืองมาอยู่ในมือของนักการเมืองที่มีภูมิหลังจากนักธุรกิจ ทำให้ความเป็นรัฐราชการถดถอยไป แต่อย่างไรก็ตามโครงข่ายของข้าราชการก็ได้พยายามเข้ามาแฝงบตัวในบทบาทสำคัญ เช่น คณะร่างรัฐธรรมนูญ และ สมาชิกวุฒิสภา ทั้งนี้รัฐธรรมนูญ พ.ศ. 2540 มีโครงสร้างแบบเน้นการกระจายอำนาจและเปิดโอกาสให้ประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดนโยบาย แต่ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐและกลุ่มทุนมีความชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้นจากบทบาทของนักธุรกิจที่มานั่งตำแหน่งการเมือง ภายหลังจากวิกฤตต้มยำกุ้ง ทุนธนาคารเริ่มเสื่อมถอยแต่ก็ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากรัฐบาล และการออกนโยบายของรัฐที่ทำเน้นฟื้นฟูพร้อมเติบโต ทำให้นโยบายเน้นไปทางประชานิยมเข้าถึงประชาชน และสนับสนุนอุตสาหกรรมให้เติบโต ทำให้ทุนอุตสาหกรรม และ ทุนสื่อสาร เข้ามามีผลประโยชน์ร่วมผ่านนโยบายของรัฐบาลเช่น การเจรจาทางเศรษฐกิจไทย-ญี่ปุ่น ภายใต้รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย พ.ศ. 2560 มีโครงสร้างแบบรวมศูนย์อำนาจโดยอำนาจในการบริหารกลับมาอยู่ในเมือของข้าราชการอีกครั้งผ่านการทำรัฐประหาร และคณะรัฐประหารก็ได้เป็นผู้วางแนวทางการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการร่างรัฐธรรมนูญและกำหนดให้วุฒิสภามาจากการแต่งตั้งทั้งหมด ทำให้ประเทศไทยได้กลับมาเป็นรูปแบบของรัฐราชการอีกครั้ง ซึ่งได้พยายามดึงกลุ่มทุนเอกชนเข้ามามีบทบาทในการกำหนดนโยบายทางเศรษฐกิจ อย่างโครงการประชารัฐหรืออีอีซีที่เป็นการสานต่อโครงการอีสเทิร์นซีบอร์ดจากสมัยของรัฐบาลเปรม ทั้งนี้จากวิกฤตโควิดทำให้รัฐบาลได้เน้นออกนโยบายเยียวยาภาคประชาชน ผ่านความช่วยเหลือทางการเงินจากนโยบายต่างๆ โดยสรุป แม้ว่าระบบราชการจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงหรือลดลง แต่ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐกับกลุ่มธุรกิจก็ยังคงมีอยู่อย่างต่อเนื่อง โดนแต่ละยุคมีรูปแบบความร่วมมือและการปรับตัวที่แตกต่างกันระหว่างรัฐและกลุ่มทุนในกำหนดนโยบายเศรษฐกิจและการปกครองของประเทศไทย

การเสริมสร้างอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของผู้ผลิตรายย่อยในประเทศไทย: กรณีศึกษา เครือข่ายอนุรักษ์และพัฒนาเมล็ดพันธุ์พื้นบ้านไทย, อรุณวตรี รัตนธารี

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำความเข้าใจกระบวนการส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของเกษตรกร ผ่านการทำงานจากฐานราก โดยเลือกศึกษากระบวนการทำงานของเครือข่ายอนุรักษ์และพัฒนาเมล็ดพันธุ์พื้นบ้าน ซึ่งเป็นการรวมตัวกันอย่างหลวม ๆ ของเกษตรกร องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน และนักวิชาการ ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ.2541 โดยมีเป้าหมายในการทำงาน คือ ส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของเกษตรกรที่เป็นสมาชิก ด้วยการเพิ่มโอกาสให้เกษตรกรเหล่านั้นสามารถเข้าถึงปัจจัยการผลิตที่สอดคล้องกับระบบการผลิตอาหารที่ยั่งยืน ซึ่ง ณ ที่นี้ คือ เมล็ดพันธุ์พื้นบ้าน งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ ผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมข้อมูลจากสมาชิกในเครือข่ายฯ ผ่านการสัมภาษณ์ โดยสมาชิกเหล่านั้นประกอบด้วยเกษตรกรรายย่อย ผู้บริโภค นักวิชาการ และเจ้าหน้าที่ในเครือข่ายฯ เพื่อนำมาวิเคราะห์กระบวนการทำงานของเครือข่ายฯ โดยยึดกรอบการวิเคราะห์ผ่านทฤษฎีอธิปไตยด้านอาหาร ทฤษฎีการจัดการทรัพยากรร่วม และทฤษฎีนิเวศวิทยาทางการเมือง เพื่อตอบคำถามวิจัยว่า เครือข่ายอนุรักษ์และพัฒนาเมล็ดพันธุ์พื้นบ้านมีกระบวนการส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของฝั่งเกษตรกรอย่างไรเพื่อแสวงหาแนวทางในการส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของฝั่งเกษตรกรอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เมื่อนำกระบวนการทำงานของเครือข่ายฯ ที่ส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารผ่านการส่งเสริมองค์ความรู้เรื่องเมล็ดพันธุ์และส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนเมล็ดพันธุ์ในกลุ่มเกษตรกรที่เป็นสมาชิก มาวิเคราะห์ผ่านหลักการของทฤษฎีอธิปไตยด้านอาหาร พบว่ากระบวนการทำงานของเครือข่ายฯ มีส่วนช่วยส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของเกษตรกรจริง ทว่ายังจำกัดขอบเขตของการทำงานอยู่เพียงในกลุ่มสมาชิกของเครือข่ายฯ เท่านั้น จาก 2 สาเหตุสำคัญ คือ 1) เครือข่ายฯ ขาดการสนับสนุนจากภาครัฐอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม และ 2) เครือข่ายฯ มีต้นทุนไม่เพียงพอสำหรับการดำเนินงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง จึงประเมินได้ว่าการทำงานของเครือข่ายฯ ส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารจริง ทว่าเป็นการส่งเสริมอธิปไตยด้านอาหารของเกษตรกรเฉพาะกลุ่ม

Effects Of Social Activities On Labor Participation Among Middle-Aged And Older Adults In China, Shixun Yuan

This paper empirically explores how social activities affect the labor force participation of middle-aged and older adults using data from the 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). Based on 2SLS and IV-probit regression analyses, where social participation is endogenized, there are three key discoveries. First, social activity is negatively associated with labor force involvement and, when instrumental variables are used to minimize endogeneity bias, the negative effect of social participation is found to be stronger. การศึกษานี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการพัฒนาแอปพลิเคชันคัดเลือกของขวัญตามโอกาสต่าง ๆ ภายใต้งบประมาณและประเภทของผู้รับ โดยใช้การวิเคราะห์จากข้อมูลผ่านระบบ Recommendation System เพื่อค้นหาของขวัญให้เหมาะกับงบประมาณและความชอบของผู้รับ รวมทั้งศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ จากการสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่อยู่ในช่วงวัยทำงานและมีพฤติกรรมซื้อของออนไลน์ พบว่ามีปัญหาในการที่ต้องเลือกซื้อของขวัญภายใต้งบประมาณที่จำกัด ซึ่งนำไปสู่การออกแบบและพัฒนานวัตกรรม เพื่อตอบโจทย์ทั้งผู้ให้และผู้รับนอกจากนี้ยังช่วยประหยัดเวลาในการค้นหาของขวัญ ทำให้การเลือกซื้อของขวัญเป็นอะไรที่ง่ายและสะดวกสบายมากขึ้นและคาดหวังว่าจะสามารถช่วยให้การเลือกซื้อของขวัญเป็นเรื่องที่ง่ายยิ่งขึ้น โดยมีการสํารวจและวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรม รวมถึงความต้องการในการใช้แอปพลิเคชันของกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ กลุ่มวัยรุ่นและวัยทำงานที่ต้องเข้าสังคมและมีการซื้อของขวัญในแต่ละปี จํานวนทั้งสิ้น 406 คน โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนมากจะมอบของขวัญในวันแสดงความยินดีต่างๆ วันเกิด และ วันปีใหม่ โดยประเภทของขวัญที่มอบให้มีหลากหลายขึ้นอยู่กับงบประมาณของผู้ให้และความชอบของผู้รับ และมีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับกลุ่มเป้าหมายทั้งหมด 15 คน ได้มีการให้ข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อนำมาปรับปรุงและพัฒนาต่อ โดยผู้ทำแบบสำรวจได้ให้ความสนใจในการใช้แอปพลิเคชันช่วยคัดเลือกของขวัญตามโอกาสต่าง ๆ ภายใต้งบประมาณและประเภทของผู้รับ เพราะช่วยประหยัดเวลาในการหาของขวัญได้และเป็นของขวัญที่อยู่ภายใต้งบประมาณ

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่องความเป็นไปได้เชิงพาณิชย์ของผลิตภัณฑ์เกล็ดประกายมุกจากเปลือกหอยแมลงภู่ใช้ทดแทนกลิตเตอร์ในผลิตภัณฑ์สีน้ำในงานศิลปะสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อใช้เป็นวัสดุทางเลือกทดแทนกลิตเตอร์ที่ทำจากไมโครพลาสติก เพื่อให้ตรงกับกระแสรักษ์โลก ที่ปัจจุบันคนในสังคมมีพฤติกรรมใส่ใจสิ่งแวดล้อมและสนับสนุนแบรนด์ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับสิ่งแวดล้อม จากผลการศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ด้วยการใช้เครื่องมือแบบสอบถามในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ได้รับจำนวน 60 คน พบว่า ด้านมุมมองและพฤติกรรมการเลือกใช้สีน้ำ คือ เลือกจากราคา ด้านทัศนคติและพฤติกรรมการเลือกใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์สีน้ำที่มีประกาย คือ คุณสมบัติของสีน้ำที่มีประกายและสีน้ำที่มีประกายควรผลิตได้จากธรรมชาติ ด้านความสนใจในผลิตภัณฑ์เกล็ดประกายมุกจากเปลือกหอยแมลงภู่ที่ใช้ในงานศิลปะสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย คือ มีความปลอดภัย มีความน่าสนใจ และดีกับสิ่งแวดล้อม เพราะผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเห็นว่าเป็นวัสดุธรรมชาติและสามารถสร้างผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ปลอดภัยได้ ด้วยเหตุนี้ผู้วิจัยเล็งเห็นถึงโอกาสในการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์นี้ โดยใช้วัสดุจากธรรมชาติ และมีความปลอดภัยต่อเด็ก สามารถส่งเสริมพัฒนาการสร้างสรรค์ของเด็กต่อไปได้ในอนาคต

This study investigates the impact of board gender diversity, financial background, and educational diversity on the cost of debt for Thai listed companies, focusing on the SET50 firms from 2015-2016 and 2021-2022. Utilizing data from Refinitiv DataStream, SETSMART, and annual reports, this research examines whether the presence of women on boards, financial expertise, and diverse educational backgrounds influence borrowing costs. The findings reveal that female board members do not significantly impact the cost of debt, challenging common assumptions about gender diversity's financial benefits. วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง "การสื่อสารเพื่อการเตรียมตัวตายของผู้สูงอายุ" มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการสื่อสารเพื่อการเตรียมตัวตายในสังคมไทย การให้ความหมายเรื่องความตายของผู้สูงอายุ และพฤติกรรมการสื่อสารเพื่อการเตรียมตัวตายของผู้สูงอายุ ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์ชนิดมีโครงสร้างเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บข้อมูลจากกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุกรณีศึกษา 18 คน การเตรียมตัวตายเป็นพฤติกรรมสังคม และพฤติกรรมวัฒนธรรม ผู้สูงอายุคิดวางแผนเตรียมตัวตายโดยใช้การสื่อสารเป็นเครื่องมือ การสื่อสารเพื่อการเตรียมตัวตายเป็นกระบวนการในการสร้างความหมายร่วมกันระหว่างผู้ร่วมกระทำการสื่อสารซึ่งมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อกัน ปฏิสัมพันธ์ในที่นี้มีขอบเขตตั้งแต่ระดับภายในตนเอง ปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อบุคคลใกล้ชิด ต่อกลุ่ม และต่อสาธารณะ ผู้สูงอายุให้ความหมายความตาย 5 ความหมาย ได้แก่ ความตายคือการไม่มีชีวิตอยู่ ความตายคือการเคลื่อนย้ายของจิต ความตายคือการเปลี่ยนภพตามพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้า ความตายคือการเดินทางครั้งใหม่-การเกิด ความตายคือการพลัดพรากหรือถูกทำให้พลัดพรากจากที่เป็นอยู่ ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเตรียมตัวตายของผู้สูงอายุมี 4 ปัจจัยหลัก ได้แก่ ปัจจัยตัวบุคคล ปัจจัยศาสนา ปัจจัยด้านสังคมวัฒนธรรม และปัจจัยสถานภาพทางสังคมเศรษฐกิจ สื่อและช่องทางการสื่อสารเพื่อการเตรียมตัวตายของผู้สูงอายุ ได้แก่ สื่อบุคคล สื่อเฉพาะกิจ สื่อเชิงวัฒนธรรม สื่อวัตถุ และสื่อสังคม

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความรู้ ความเข้าใจ ทัศนคติ ความคิดเห็น และแนวทางการปรับใช้เทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานโฆษณาของบุคลากรในอุตสาหกรรมโฆษณา ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากบริษัทตัวแทนโฆษณาจำนวน 5 ท่าน และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการสื่อสารการตลาดจำนวน 5 ท่าน รวม 10 ท่าน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์มีศักยภาพในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ และลดขั้นตอนการทำงานของกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์โฆษณา จากคุณสมบัติในการทำงานได้แบบอัตโนมัติ ในด้านทัศนคติและความคิดเห็นของผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้งสองกลุ่มที่มีต่อปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์พบว่า ส่วนใหญ่เป็นไปในเชิงบวก จากความคิดเห็นที่ว่า การทำงานในอุตสาหกรรมโฆษณาทำให้มีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อเทคโนโลยีใหม่เป็นทุนเดิม อีกทั้งปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์ยังมีความสามารถที่หลากหลาย เพื่อใช้ในการทำงาน และเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการผลิตผลงานโฆษณาอีกด้วย ด้านแนวทางการปรับใช้งานในอุตสาหกรรมโฆษณาพบว่า ทักษะการใช้งานปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์จะกลายเป็นทักษะที่สำคัญในอนาคต แต่ถึงอย่างไรก็ตาม แม้ว่าปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์จะสามารถเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานได้เป็นอย่างมาก แต่การใช้งานยังคงต้องการการควบคุม และการตัดสินใจโดยมนุษย์ เพื่อให้ผลลัพธ์มีความถูกต้อง และมีคุณภาพสูง ผลการวิจัยจึงได้เน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างมนุษย์และปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์ ในด้านการบริหารจัดการองค์กรเพื่อส่งเสริมการปรับใช้งานปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์ โดยองค์กรควรเน้นการฝึกอบรม และการพัฒนาทักษะการใช้งานปัญญาประดิษฐ์สร้างสรรค์ของบุคลากร เพื่อให้กระบวนการทำงานเกิดประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด

The future of meat substitutes for China's sustainable food system was examined in this dissertation. Influence of media agenda-setting, consumer perception, preferences, and experts' opinions towards sustainable meat systems were investigated by text mining, online questionnaire survey, and stakeholder in-depth interviews. Integration of the agenda-setting concerning meat substitutes with the 2022 Chinese government dietary policy and the influence of articles in mainstream news is recommended. The research findings contribute to bridging the gap between policy formulation, agenda-setting, and public perception and suggest that media provide information consistently with the national food policy and provide education and knowledge correctly and clearly. …

This research examines how the historical Korean drama "Under the Queen's Umbrella" (2022) portrays modern Korean society. By comparing the societal depictions within the drama with contemporary Korean society, it analyzes the benefits and drawbacks of using historical dramas to represent modern social issues. The researcher primarily uses Stuart Hall's theory of representation as a framework. For my senior thesis project, I decided to study nitrate pollution to better understand and analyze how college students in Nebraska viewed and understood the complex issue of nitrate pollution. From my study only half of college students surveyed viewed nitrate pollution as a problem. Only 15 percent of college students test their water for nitrates, and most college students were knowledgeable on how nitrate pollution occurs. Due to the negative impacts of nitrate pollution within human health, soil health, and ecosystem function further work needs to be completed to raise awareness and knowledge on the impacts of nitrate pollution.

Short train rail lines across the United States are seeing increased national funding to reduce toxic chemical spills caused by train derailments, the most notable of which happened in February 2023 in East Palestine, Ohio.
