Bill Of Rights Nondelegation, Eli Nachmany
Bill Of Rights Nondelegation, Eli Nachmany
BYU Law Review
Speculation about the “revival” of the nondelegation doctrine has reached a fever pitch. Although the Supreme Court apparently has not applied the nondelegation doctrine to declare a federal statute unconstitutional since 1935, the doctrine may be making a comeback. The common understanding is that the nondelegation doctrine prohibits Congress from “delegating” legislative power to the executive branch. While the nondelegation doctrine may appear to be about limiting Congress, its ultimate target is delegation. But if the nondelegation doctrine is about policing delegation, then the Court has been regularly — and rigorously — applying the doctrine in a different context: In …

Is Homoeopathy Contributing To The Universal Health Coverage Goal Of #Healthforall?, Subhash Kaushik
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
The expansion of health service coverage, a key target of the 2015 Sustainable Development Goals, has seen limited progress in recent years, further hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the financial protection has witnessed a decline. Fifty percent of the global population lacks access to essential health services. An estimated 2 billion people grapple with financial hardships resulting from out-of-pocket health expenses, including 344 million individuals residing in extreme poverty.
On 12 December 2012, a historic resolution endorsing the acceleration of progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as a paramount international development priority was unanimously endorsed by the United …

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Background: There is a growing concern about the increasing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and their risk factors globally.
Objectives: This study assesses the impact of the integration of Ayush (homoeopathy along with yoga) in the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Stroke at the level of patients and conventional physicians.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out on the participants already enrolled for the treatment of NCDs at 22 Ayush-Lifestyle Disorders clinics in four districts across India. Participants of any gender, aged 30 years or older, were included. A structured …

Tinea Capitis Treated With Homoeopathic Medicine Pulsatilla Nigricans: A Case Report, Khushboo Garg, Divya Bansal, Aayush Mittal
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Introduction: Tinea infection is a common complaint encountered in day-to-day practice with increasing incidence, especially in countries such as India over the past decade. Tinea capitis is predominantly a disease of prepubertal children characterised by lesions of variable morphology on the scalp associated with itching, erythema, signs of inflammation and hair loss. Prompt recognition and treatment are necessary to prevent its spread due to its contagious nature, associated hair loss and the resultant psychological impact on social life. Individualised homoeopathic treatment has a significant scope in treating and combating such conditions cost-effectively through the totality of symptoms.

Review On Therapeutic Potential Of Phytochemicals From Medicinal Plants, Iqra Afzal, Ume Habiba, Humaira Yasmeen
Journal of Bioresource Management
Nature has provided plants with a vast range of phytochemicals. These phytochemicals are enriched with different pharmacological activities. These pharmacological activities have a potential to be wisely used for therapeutic purpose. It can be utilized in so many ways for the expansion of therapeutic strategies. With the advancement in the field of medicine and due to increasing side effects of synthetic medicines there emerges a need to discover novel therapeutic remedies. Medicinal plants serve as the best source for the manufacture of new remedies for many diseases. Medicinal plants bear a potential towards treating incurable chronic diseases. The aim of …
Reacting To The Past As Education For Leadership, Javier S. Hidalgo
Reacting To The Past As Education For Leadership, Javier S. Hidalgo
Interdisciplinary Journal of Leadership Studies
How can courses on leadership effectively cultivate students’ leadership skills? This reflective essay explores how one form of role-playing called Reacting to the Past can promote students’ leadership skills and deepen their understanding of leadership. Reacting to the Past is a series of immersive role-playing simulations that are set at key moments in history and that require students to play the part of historical actors over the course of several weeks. I argue that Reacting to the Past encourages students to practice leadership skills in an authentic context, improves students’ understanding of leadership by allowing them to observe and participate …
College Students’ Loneliness, Feelings About Social Media, And Depressive Symptoms During Covid-19: Between And Within-Person Temporal Associations, Karen Kochel, Catherine L. Bagwell, Samara Rosen
College Students’ Loneliness, Feelings About Social Media, And Depressive Symptoms During Covid-19: Between And Within-Person Temporal Associations, Karen Kochel, Catherine L. Bagwell, Samara Rosen
Interdisciplinary Journal of Leadership Studies
During COVID-19, many institutions of higher education implemented health protocols that reduced college students’ in-person interactions and prompted an uptick in their social media use. Although social media has often been implicated in the development of psychosocial difficulties, we tested an alternate hypothesis – that, during the pandemic, students’ feelings about social media for interpersonal connection (i.e., FSMIC), would contribute to reductions in loneliness and depressive symptoms. To investigate temporal associations between loneliness, FSMIC, and depression, we estimated random-intercept cross-lagged panel models (RI-CLPM), permitting the disaggregation of between- and within-person effects. Participants (N = 517 undergraduates, Mage = …

Examining The Relationship Between School Academic Optimism, Enabling School Structures, And Student Achievement In New Jersey Public Schools During The Post-Pandemic Period, Mark Schwarz
Seton Hall University Dissertations and Theses (ETDs)
This study investigated the relationships between student achievement and the school characteristics of academic optimism and enabling structures. Perceptual data were collected from a sample of 496 faculty members across 67 schools in 25 districts in northern NJ. These data were then merged with demographic and student achievement data from the New Jersey Department of Education for analysis through descriptive and inferential statistics. The study was modeled after prior studies outside of New Jersey and before the onset of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
The study found that enabling structures were well correlated with school academic optimism and that optimism, in turn, …

DNA polymerase (DNAP) can correct errors in DNA during replication by proofreading, a process critical for cell viability. However, the mechanism by which an erroneously incorporated base translocates from the polymerase to the exonuclease site and the corrected DNA terminus returns has remained elusive. Here, we present an ensemble of nine high-resolution structures representing human mitochondrial DNA polymerase Gamma, Polγ, captured during consecutive proofreading steps. The structures reveal key events, including mismatched base recognition, its dissociation from the polymerase site, forward translocation of DNAP, alterations in DNA trajectory, repositioning and refolding of elements for primer separation, DNAP backtracking, and displacement …

Evaluating Microbial Contamination Of Bakeries, Wheat Flour In Ghaemshahr, Iran, Reyhaneh Gouran, Nazanin Khakipour
Journal of Bioresource Management
Although flour is regarded as a safe product from the perspective of microbiology due to its low water activity, it can be a suitable environment for the growth of microorganisms if suitable conditions are provided for their growth and reproduction. The objective of this study was to examine the microbial quality of 82 % and 78 % flours distributed in 5 bakeries in the city of Ghaemshahr. The evaluation of the results of the physicochemical tests on the samples revealed that sample No.5's moisture content (82 % of the flour sample from the bakery E) was significantly higher than other …
