Research outputs 2022 to 2026
While the significance of Hotel Digital Capability (HDC) has been acknowledged in the literature, limited attention has been given to its measurement. This study endeavors to identify the dimensions of HDC and construct a reliable measurement scale. A combined approach of qualitative and quantitative methods across three studies was employed to achieve the research objectives. Study 1, grounded in interviews, delineated HDC as a multidimensional construct encompassing digital basic capability, digital integration capability, digital application capability, and digital optimization capability. Building on the four-factor model identified in Study 1, Study 2 formulated an 18-item scale with robust measurement properties. Additionally, …

Sustainable Reporting For Agricultural Cooperatives Key Insights And Framework Development, Lia Dahlia Iryani
Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
A study on the viability of implementing sustainable reporting in Indonesian agricultural cooperatives is exceptionally uncommon, given the underlying concerns raised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation No. 51/2017. In order to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, this project intends to investigate the potential of indicators of economic, ecological, and social sustainability. Employing the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method, this study analyzes the content of 85 sustainability reports using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 reporting framework to determine the correlations between different sustainability categories and how they affect agribusiness and evaluate the impact on the business. Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research
Artocarpus lanceifolius Roxb. or kaledang is a species of the mulberry family, Moraceae. Several extracts from its family have been reported to have antibacterial activity. Thus, it is necessary to determine compounds that have nature as antibacterial to be raw materials for antibacterial herbal medicines. The purpose of the study was to trace compounds that have antibacterial activity from Artocarpus lanceifolius stem bark. The study method was extraction by graded maceration, fractionation with column vacuum chromatography (CVC), isolation by radial chromatography, determination of antibacterial activity by agar diffusion method using the Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. The characterization …

To Legitimacy And Beyond: A Reform Agenda To Restore Public Confidence In The Federal Courts, Charles G. Geyh
Articles by Maurer Faculty
The article begins by describing he ongoing cycle of anti-court sentiment directed at the federal courts. It situates that cycle in historical context, to the end of showing how independence norms have evolved to constrain more draconian efforts to curb the courts in those cycles. The article then explains why the latest cycle is unusually aggressive and why norms that have protected the judiciary’s independence for generations may be at risk if public skepticism of the courts reaches the point of undermining the judiciary’s perceived legitimacy. Next, the article sorts through the definitional clutter that complicates assessments of whether the …

Novel Anti-Influenza Monoclonal Antibodies, Ozlem Gurses
NYMC Student Theses and Dissertations
There is a continual public threat of influenza virus infections. This is related to viruses evolving in multiple animal reservoirs, making infection prevention in humans difficult to achieve and leading to seasonal epidemics and the semi-regular emergence of pandemics. Novel antibody-based therapies are of great interest to researchers because of a dramatic increase in drug resistant strains of influenza viruses. The identification of cross-reactive and broadly protective monoclonal antibodies targeting the influenza proteins presents a promising prospect for the development of a universal therapy. Although the research related to the monoclonal antibodies targeting the viral internal proteins is limited, multiple …

Reports have shown that there has been a continuous annual increase in the number of traffic accidents in Indonesia. Parepare City, in particular, faces significant congestion in its public transportation system, leading to 167 cases and 144 cases of accidents in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge, attitude, personality, and safety riding practice on traffic accidents among transportation workers in Parepare City. This cross-sectional study comprised 100 respondents selected using the simple random sampling method. The study instrument was a questionnaire, which had previously been tested for its validity and reliability. The …

Diarrhea is a global health problem that causes morbidity and death in all age groups. Among the cities in Indonesia, Depok has the second-highest incidence of diarrhea outbreaks. Although previous studies have shown the correlation between diarrhea and environmental and behavioral factors, the spatial analysis of these factors is still very limited. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the spatial analysis of the association between diarrhea incidence and environmental and behavioral factors using an ecological study. The secondary data from the Depok City Health Office were used in the analysis. Our results showed a significant relationship between proper drinking water …

Beta Cell Primary Cilia Mediate Somatostatin Responsiveness Via Sstr3, Samantha E Adamson, Zipeng A Li, Jing W Hughes
2020-Current year OA Pubs
Somatostatin is a paracrine modulator of insulin secretion and beta cell function with pleotropic effects on glucose homeostasis. The mechanism of somatostatin-mediated communication between delta and beta cells is not well-understood, which we address in this study via the ciliary somatostatin receptor 3 (SSTR3). Primary cilia are membrane organelles that act as signaling hubs in islets by virtue of their subcellular location and enrichment in signaling proteins such as G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). We show that SSTR3, a ciliary GPCR, mediates somatostatin suppression of insulin secretion in mouse islets. Quantitative analysis of calcium flux using a mouse model of genetically …

Embedding Grief And Loss Training Across Cacrep-Core Areas In School Counseling Programs, Katherine M. Wood, C.Missy Moore, Jolie Ziomek-Daigle
Journal of Counselor Preparation and Supervision
Each year, millions of school-aged children and teens experience grief and loss (Judi’s, 2023). This conceptual article describes the impact of grief and loss on school-aged children and the need to integrate grief and loss training into CACREP-accredited programs through the eight-core CACREP areas. Using Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory, the authors will highlight how counselor educators can infuse content to address grief and loss with preservice school counselors holistically across the various systems surrounding the student in each CACREP core area.

[SiW12O40]4-(SiW12) and [Mo8O26]4- (Mo8) were synthesized and characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The prepared polyoxometalates were studied as potential adsorbents for the removal of methylene blue (MB) from an aqueous solution. Various operational parameters—contact time, adsorbent dose, initial dye concentration, pH, and temperature— were meticulously assessed by UV/Vis spectrophotometry to study its impact on the adsorption efficacy. An inverse relationship was observed between the percentage dye removal and the initial dye concentration, highlighting the complexes' superior adsorption capabilities under lower dye loads. The …
