The book is designed for Russian as foreign language students at the Advanced Low level of language proficiency and above. The book is built around the exploration of ten popular Soviet movies in the entertainment genre. Each movie is covered in a separate chapter, including the necessary language and culture-related details to promote language acquisition and facilitate comprehension of the cultural references.

The primary objective of this article is to examine the common translation errors made by Iraqi university students. The study employs Pham Phu Quynh Na's (2005) error analysis taxonomy to categorize and identify errors occurring during the translation of passive sentences from Arabic into English. The findings indicate that linguistic errors are the most prevalent, constituting 61.52% in the first university and 42.84% in the second. Conversely, translation errors are the least frequent, accounting for 38.45% and 57% of the total error rate. Notably, comprehension errors comprise 27% of the errors observed. This paper examines how the establishment of the SULEDO community forest reserve caused land use conflicts between peasants and pastoralists in Kiteto District from 1990 to 2016. The peasants complained that the government had deliberately made it possible for pastoralists to get more benefits from the reserve since they were allowed to graze their livestock in the reserve, which took large parts of their former agricultural land. Human beings share commonalities, many of which are intricately woven into literature. Literary works allow individuals to explore and gain insights into diverse cultures and ideas across spatiotemporal contexts. Against this backdrop, this study compared two literary works, Oedipus Rex (Sophocles, 1992) and Utenzi wa Nyakiiru Kibi [‘Epic of Nyakiiru-Kibi’] (Mulokozi, 1997), to gain insight into the two societies from which the stories are derived. Using Aarne and Thompson’s (1961) classification of the Oedipus story, the study finds that Utenzi wa Nyakiiru Kibi qualifies as an Oedipal story as it meets several Oedipal narrative motifs in the Oedipus story. This study investigated the development of Tanga’s dairy innovation system and its role in promoting and maintaining relationships between farmers, the industry, and cooperative unions; employing a case study approach. The main objective was to assess the role of cooperatives in forging farmer-industry linkages and in improving dairy industry innovations. 100 dairy producers in Tanga participated in the survey that led to the paper. A questionnaire was used to collect data from randomly selected farmers. We present an inverted pendulum design using readily available V-slot rail components and 3D printing to construct custom parts. To enable the examination of different pendulum characteristics, we constructed three pendulum poles of different lengths. We implemented a brake mechanism to modify sliding friction resistance and built a paddle that can be attached to the ends of the pendulum poles. A testing rig was also developed to consistently apply disturbances by tapping the pendulum pole, characterizing balancing performance. Background: Individual case management strategy is not suitable for reducing scabies transmission, especially in high prevalence settings. A community-based approach has been proposed to control scabies. We developed a mobile application, called DeSkab, to empower non-medical personnel in crowded populations e.g., boarding schools, and to aid the identification of skin lesions suggesting scabies based on the cardinal signs of scabies. Background: Lichen amyloidosis (LA) is characterized by linear rows of firm, pigmented, grouped, hyperkeratotic papules that can form a plaque, usually occurring on the shins and forearms, with intense itch as the prominent symptom.

Case Illustration: A 57-year-old female complained of brown spots on her shins and arms that gradually thickened six years ago. The lesions were brown, multiple, discrete, slightly scaly papules forming hyperpigmented plaques. The result of the histopathology examination showed an acanthotic epidermis with hyperkeratotic foci and eosinophilic amorphous mass deposits in the papillary dermis with brown pigments. A methodology and diagram for calculating OP with the transverse movement of a moving element is presented; in order to simplify the calculation, the weight range of angular movements is conventionally divided into three sub ranges.
