Spatial Analysis Of The Distribution Of Covid-19 Vulnerable Groups To Covid-19 Cases In Brebes Regency, Fatimatuzzahro Fatimatuzzahro, Rara Warih Gayatri
Preventia: The Indonesian Journal of Public Health
The number of COVID-19 cases in Brebes Regency within a year is still quite high. The elderly, Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus are the most important COVID-19 vulnerable groups and have the highest risk of death. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of COVID-19 vulnerable groups and their spatial relationship to COVID-19 cases in Brebes Regency. This study used a correlation or ecology study design. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Brebes Regency Health Office, namely the number of COVID-19 cases, the number of elderly, people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus in 2021. The …

Preventia: The Indonesian Journal of Public Health
The increasing prevalence of smoking among women globally has become a critical public health issue. World Health Organization (WHO) data shows 20 percent of women use tobacco. Women smokers face an increased risk of various diseases. Spatial studies need to be conducted as a basis for planning and providing targeted interventions to reduce the spread of diseases caused by smoking. The study aimed to determine the spatial description of smoking among women in Indonesia. This study analyzed the 2017 IDHS data and used an ecological study design with a descriptive approach and a spatial analysis model. The results are Papua …

Spatial Analysis Of Diarrhea Incidences, Environmental Influences, And Behavioral Factors In An Ecological Study, Baby Putri Adria, Ririn Arminsih Wulandari, Fitri Kurniasari

Diarrhea is a global health problem that causes morbidity and death in all age groups. Among the cities in Indonesia, Depok has the second-highest incidence of diarrhea outbreaks. Although previous studies have shown the correlation between diarrhea and environmental and behavioral factors, the spatial analysis of these factors is still very limited. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the spatial analysis of the association between diarrhea incidence and environmental and behavioral factors using an ecological study. The secondary data from the Depok City Health Office were used in the analysis. Our results showed a significant relationship between proper drinking water …

Blood Engulfs The Green Earth”: An Ecocritical Reading Of Rasha Fadhlil’S Ishtar In Baghdad And Amy Merrill’S In The Reeds, Maysoon Taher Muhi
Uruk Journal of Human Sciences
In recent times, ecological studies have increasingly been employed to promote environmental awareness across various disciplines and regions worldwide. This paper specifically focuses on the repercussions of war and political violence on Iraq's ecology, which has been greatly impacted by conflict. Two noteworthy plays, Ishtar in Baghdad by Iraqi writer Rasha Fadhlil and In the Reeds by American writer Amy Merrill, shed light on this topic. Both plays, which primarily center on Iraq, underscore that those who fail to appreciate and value human life cannot possibly regard nonhuman entities with reverence. Fadhlil effectively employs elements from Mesopotamian mythology to draw …

Pemetaan Stunting, Wasting, Dan Obesitas Berdasarkan Kondisi Geografis Di Kota Palembang, Athiyah Ashilah, Najmah Najmah, Feri Fahrizal, Trisnawarman Trisnawarman, Sri Rahayu, Rahma Zahara
Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia

There is now considerable evidence that access to good quality green and/or blue spaces is good for peoples’ health and wellbeing. Concomitantly, there has been increasing emphasis, in national policies, on finding ways to use the natural environment as a key resource to support people’s health: all of which has been accelerated since the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, key research gaps remain. This chapter reviews what we do and don’t know about the impact of nature on people’s health. We argue that the integration of research with planning tools is key to achieving environmental planning and development that …
Using Multi-Spectral Satellite Data For Mapping Bathymetry Of Bitter Lakes, Suez Canal, Asmaa H. Mohammed, Sarah S. Abdel-Hamid, Hozaifa S. Ibrahim, Esraa E. Abouelmaaty
Using Multi-Spectral Satellite Data For Mapping Bathymetry Of Bitter Lakes, Suez Canal, Asmaa H. Mohammed, Sarah S. Abdel-Hamid, Hozaifa S. Ibrahim, Esraa E. Abouelmaaty
Blue Economy
The Suez Canal runs through an important water body, the Bitter Lakes which are deepened regularly to suit passing by or parking vessels of different drafts. The bottom topographic is dynamically changing due to sedimentation by ships and water current movements that are usually impacting and requiring those continuing dredging processes performed by the Suez Canal Authority. Basically, studying the bottom dwellers of any lake requires bathymetric data which is very costly. Therefore, bathymetry maps can be derived from passive optical satellite sensors (multispectral). The present study used Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 satellite imagery to produce water depth of the Bitter …
