Elinvo (Electronics, Informatics, and Vocational Education)
In 2025, Indonesia has launched a zero-waste program. Towards a zero-waste program, of course, the community is given awareness in sorting and processing waste. Waste management is a common problem in urban or rural areas, along with the increase in population and people's lifestyles. Waste problems that are not handled properly can cause environmental problems (pollution of air, soil, and water) and public health. Based on the origin, waste is divided into organic and inorganic waste; organic waste is produced from biological materials that can be degraded by microbes or are biodegradable, or waste from fruit, vegetable, and leaf residues. …

The present work determines the presence in the web 2.0 that twenty universities had through their educational portals. The universities are selected according to the Webometrics ranking (the ten best located in Indonesia and the best located worldwide) to identify what Web 2.0 tools they use. This study explores the educational portals of the twenty selected universities to determine which Web 2.0 tools they use and variables of the tools found will be assessed. The study only considers those Web 2.0 tools which are linked to the websites of universities. Of the two most used tools, the relevant indicators are …

The Impact Of Overhead Dumbbell Squat Towards Swimming Speed Of Tirta Palm Swimming Club Members, Winaspita Aulia Putri, Adelia Handoko, Ulfa Elfiah
Jurnal Keolahragaan
Swimming athletes compete by how fast they can swim at a certain distance. One of the most important things that affect the swimming speed was the muscle strength of the arms and legs. The swimming speed can be increased by doing the physical exercise that can affect the arms and legs muscles which was called overhead dumbbell squat (ODS) exercise. The purpose of this study was to find out if there was an effect of ODS on increased breaststroke swimming speed of Tirta Palm Swimming Club members. This study was an experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design that was …

This study aims to determine the correlation between nutritional adequacy, Fe content, body fat percentage, and muscle mass percentage with physical fitness in football athletes. Adequacy of nutrients (energy, protein, fat, protein and Fe) was obtained with a 2×24 hour recall. The Fe content value of Fe was measured using the cyanmethemoglobin method and sTfR was measured using the ELWASA method. The percentage of fat and muscle was obtained by using a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis tool. Physical fitness was measured using the ACSPFT (Asian Committee on Standardization of Physical Fitness Test) test which includes long jumps, pull-ups, sit-ups, sprints or …

Exercise can have a physiological effect on the body, including the work system of the heart and lungs. The lungs have an important role in human life, where there is an exchange of oxygen with carbon dioxide through the respiratory process. In terms of health, exercise needs to be done by every human being, because exercise can increase the work of the lung muscles, whereas if the lung muscles work well, the ability to accommodate oxygen or the vital capacity of the human lungs also increases. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical exercise on …

Physical Exercise As Cytokine Modulator In Inflammatory Immune Response: A Systematic Review, Kartika Ratna Pertiwi, Evy Yulianti, Ukhti Jamil Rustiasari
Jurnal Keolahragaan
Physical exercise contributes to maintain our health, through its role in inflammatory immune response. Cytokines are proteins that mediate communication between immune cells, either as pro- or anti-inflammation agents. Nonetheless, the dominance of pro- over anti-inflammatory cytokines during a workout, is harmful to health. This systematic review aimed at determining the effect of physical activity in modulating pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines during immune response. Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) guideline, literature searching was conducted in 3 databases which were PUBMED/MEDLINE, DOAJ and GARUDA, using keywords, citation tracking and snowballing. Inclusion and exclusion criterias were used to screen, …

Department of Cancer Biology Faculty Papers
The αVβ6 integrin, an epithelial-specific cell surface receptor absent in normal prostate and expressed during prostate cancer (PrCa) progression, is a therapeutic target in many cancers. Here, we report that transcript levels of ITGB6 (encoding the β6 integrin subunit) are significantly increased in metastatic castrate-resistant androgen receptor-negative prostate tumors compared to androgen receptor-positive prostate tumors. In addition, the αVβ6 integrin protein levels are significantly elevated in androgen receptor-negative PrCa patient derived xenografts (PDXs) compared to androgen receptor-positive PDXs. In vitro, the androgen receptor-negative PrCa cells express high levels of the αVβ6 integrin compared to androgen receptor-positive PrCa cells. Additionally, …

This Article attempts to untangle the complicated web of providing telehealth to those populations it is potentially capable of further alienating from access to healthcare including: 1) race/minority populations, 2) aging adults, 3) individuals with disabilities, 4) non-English speakers, 5) individuals living in rural areas, 6) socioeconomic class, and 7) children, in order to advance the argument that telehealth can be successful in providing healthcare access to these populations. Rather than suggesting that telehealth simply “cannot work” for these populations, instead this Article considers how telehealth can and must meet the needs of these individuals through technology, access, and policy …

Overdose: The Public Health Policies That Caused The Opioid Crisis, Benjamin T. Suslavich
Cleveland State Law Review
Recently, local governments have successfully sued pharmaceutical manufacturers for damages related to the opioid crisis in the United States under the theory that these pharmaceuticals were responsible for causing addictions and deaths across the nation. However, the opioid crisis was, in fact, caused by the creation of national public health policies which compelled the prescription of opioid analgesics. The dogma of the "pain movement," which spearheaded public health policies, was adopted in some form by nearly every healthcare regulator in the country. With unchecked power and influence on the U.S. healthcare system, healthcare regulators mutated slightly misleading advertising by pharmaceutical …

Transverse Shear Of An Isotropic Elastic Medium In The Case When The Binder And Inclusions Are Weakened By Crack Initiation, Azerbaijan State Oil And Industry University, Baku, Azerbaijan, Alekber K. Mekhdiev, Rafail K. Mekhtiev
Baku Mathematical Journal
An elastic medium is considered, weakened by a doubly periodic system of round holes, filled with absolutely rigid inclusions, soldered along the bypass and has a crack initiation. The medium (binder) is weakened by two periodic systems of rectilinear crack initiation directed collinear to the abscissa and ordinate axes, and their sizes are not the same. General representations are constructed that describe a class of problems with a doubly periodic stress distribution outside circular holes and cracks under transverse shear. The analysis of the limiting equilibrium of cracks in the framework of the end zone model is carried out on …

A boundary value problem stated in an infinite semi-strip for a third order non-classic type differential equation degenerated into a hyperbolic equation, is considered. The complete expansion of the solution of the problem with respect to a small parameter as constructed and the residual term is estimated.
