Research has indicated that religious families influence the sexual education of their children. This qualitative phenomenological research addressed the research gap of how religious parents engage and communicate with their children concerning sexual education and sexuality. Bronfenbrenner’s multilevel ecological theory supported the notion of parents as first teachers developing the basis for socialization with family, relatives, neighbors, friends, church, schools, peer, and other groups in the community. The study included 10 qualitative data sets collected through guided interviews with parents in four separate conservative faith communities. Increasing volunteer turnover hinders nonprofit organizational leaders’ ability to promote transformative changes within local communities. Grounded in the Herzberg two-factor theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore strategies leaders in African American-centric nonprofit organizations employ to volunteer turnover. The participants comprised five leaders from African American-centric nonprofit organizations throughout Washington, DC, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, successfully reducing volunteer turnover. Domestic violence in Jamaica can be contextually understood through radical feminism and social learning theory used in this study to explain the patriarchal social structures, intergenerational transmission of intimate partner violence, and normalization of this behavior. This phenomenological study examined the criminal justice system's support of victims of intimate partner violence and results indicated reforms to improve initiatives to eradicate this violent conduct. AbstractThe purpose of this quantitative longitudinal correlational study was to examine whether positive social bonds with caring, supportive family, prosocial peers, and spouses/partners were significantly predictive of non-reoffender status using archival data from a sample of female offenders who were under community supervision in the state of Michigan during the years 2011–2014. The study had three interval predictor variables: positive social bonds with family, prosocial peers, and spouse/partner.
