"Sophomore Mike Coscia photographed this dimly-lit xylophone backstage at Memphis State's acclaimed production of "Something Wicked This Way Comes," presented Dec. 8-13. An original adaptation of Ray Bradbury's novel, the play relied heavily upon unusual visual and audio effects in an experiment in "Total Theatre." The original adaptation was written by Mrs. Gloria D. Baxter, assistant professor of speech and drama who also directed the play, and was the regional winner in The American College Theatre Festival.

Mitch Green as "Dude" and the "Theatre Wings" celebrate their victory over the devil in the MSU production that ran July 27-Aug. 11 in the main theatre on campus. The play, that proved to be a million-dollar flop on Broadway, was produced in Memphis by MSU professor of speech and drama Keith Kennedy.

Richardson have made to Memphis State University and Tennessee education, Central Towers, the 10-story residence hall adjacent to the MSU campus, has been renamed Richardson Towers in their honor. The building was acquired by the University this year for use as its Center for Continuing Education and will be converted in the future into a hotel for persons attending continuing education conferences and seminars.

With the fall enrollment of 1963 expected to be between 8,500 and 8,700, Dr. Cecil C. Humphreys announced the extensive building program that will include four new buildings and several additions to existing buildings. Construction will begin this summer on the two-year $3,352,934 program.
