Much of the research in this area and its effects on the clergy and churches occurred more than a decade ago. Through updated research and surveys of current Southern Baptist ministers in the Baptist General Convention of Texas, this thesis will offer solutions to how these dangers can be lessened or alleviated. Through the presentation of updated statistics, the seriousness of this problem for the …

The central question addressed in this phenomenological research was, “How do pastoral teams consisting of the outgoing pastor and spouse and the incoming pastor and spouse process the spiritual and emotional dynamics of a pastoral transition?” The church is described as a family (Eph 3:15) with spiritual and emotional needs. Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Burnout, a subject that was birthed in the 1970s was only associated with the private and public sectors of the workforce. It has transitioned into other avenues where personal interaction takes place. Ministry is a profession where people interaction happens weekly and sometimes daily. Ministry is repetitive work that must be done daily, weekly, and monthly. Many pastors have fallen prey to this awful and painful enemy. Burnout has caused many pastors to lose their church, family, and life. The lack of ministry assistance and the demand for the job have taken a toll on many pastors whether they are …

Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Porned: Revenge Porn And The Need For A Federal Nonconsensual Pornography Statute, Aubrey Burris
Florida Law Review
Revenge porn is the term used to describe an intimate image or video that is initially shared within the context of a private relationship but is later publicly disclosed, usually on the Internet, without the consent of the individual featured in the explicit graphic. This nonconsensual disclosure is generally fueled by an intent to harm, humiliate, and harass the individual after the relationship has deteriorated. Revenge porn is fundamentally understood as nonconsensual pornography and is an increasingly common method of malicious cyber-harassment. This Note explores why the epidemic of revenge porn should be legally addressed and suggests a solution to …

A Phenomenological Qualitative Study Of Discipling Church Congregants Using Three Christ-Practiced Church Communities, Bryan Wade Ewing
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The purpose of this phenomenological study was to discover the perceived impact of local church leadership’s implementation of three Christ-practiced discipling communities for the equipping of local-church congregants within six local bodies in the state of Indiana. Communities are generally defined as intentional groups of different purposes within the local church. The study sought to better understand the impact of congregants being involved in weekly, corporate worship, small groups, and mentorship groups in their discipleship journey. Podium Presentation: Promoting Holistic Health: Impact Of Vocati On The Spiritual And Moral Development In Youth, Joann Long, Jeremy Smith
Podium Presentation: Promoting Holistic Health: Impact Of Vocati On The Spiritual And Moral Development In Youth, Joann Long, Jeremy Smith
2022 Providence Nurse Research Conference
Background: Approximately one out of every six individuals are adolescents between the ages of 10 to 19. Promoting health and reducing risks for this age group has life-long health and societal consequences. Evidence suggests positive and negative risk-taking behaviors cluster in this population. Models for the promotion of positive youth development have shifted in focus from avoidance of risk-taking behaviors to emphasis on psychosocial competence and holistic well-being. Evidence suggests spiritual wellbeing, regardless of conceptual definition, is more often than not associated with positive health outcomes and development in youth. However, few studies have included spiritual and moral constructs in …
