Across various forms of media, Muslims are often portrayed as a homogenous group prone to violence, yet scholars have increasingly called upon schools and teachers to transcend stereotypes and prepare students to understand Muslims in more thoughtful and nuanced ways. This qualitative case study recounts how students and a teacher in a high school multicultural studies class investigated problematic media materials about Islam sent by an organization called the Christian Seniors Association. Drawing upon Mihailidis’s (2014) 5A’s of Media Literacy heuristic, I analyzed field notes from classroom observations, interviews, and student produced artifacts. The internet is today a significant part of children’s daily lives, and digital competences have been included as basic learning goals in many school systems worldwide. In order to develop sound and effective early-age internet education programs, information about how children use the internet should be integrated with insights in how they understand it. This study investigates 8-to-10-year-old children’s understanding of the internet through the qualitative analysis of 51 drawings collected in three primary school classes in Switzerland. Situated within research on youth, participatory politics, and media framing of obesity, this study examined how undergraduate students in a media literacy course engaged with obesity discourse as a nexus of civic participation. Twenty-nine students enrolled on the course identified frames of obesity in plus-size model Tess Holliday’s Instagram posts surrounding her controversial Cosmopolitan cover in 2018. Analysis of these frames – self-validation, injustice of fat-shaming and stigmatization, influences of Instagram celebrities on fat embodiment, and health stereotypes of obese people – enabled the students to critique activist responses to accepted body norms and moral values facilitating weight bias. The spectral radiative heat flux could impact the material response. In order to evaluate it, a coupling scheme between KATS - MR and P1 approximation model of radiation transfer equation (RTE) is constructed and used. A Band model is developed that divides the spectral domain into small bands of unequal widths. Two verification studies are conducted: one by comparing the simulation computed by the Band model with pure conduction results and the other by comparing with similar models of RTE. The results of treatment of 200 patients with urolithiasis who were admitted to the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Urology in the period 2019-2020 that have been exposed to ESWL because of upper urinary tract (UT) stone(s) prospectively were analyzed. Aim of the study: the prevalence of benign prostate hyperplasia and the importance of risk factors in the development of pathology among the unorganized male population in Andijan was analyzed. Materials and methods: the total volume of the competition was 2702 people, and the survey coverage was 1977 people (72.3%). The paper provides data on the frequency of occurrence of various forms of herpesvirus infections in HIV-infected patients registered at the Republican AIDS Center in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The results of the study showed a wide spread of HIV infection among patients under 50 years of age. Various herpetic infections were identified in 27.5% of patients. Among all types of herpesvirus infections, diseases caused by the varicella zoster virus (VVZ) (51.0%) and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV type 1) (43.0%) prevailed.

This work presents observation data for 16 patients with hairy cell leukemia (HCL), the duration of the disease ranged from 1 to 15 years. The indications for surgery in case of ON and the results of splenectomy in 5 patients are presented. No complications from operations were observed. After splenectomy, the patients' condition improved platelets, blood retraction normalized, hemoglobin and erythrocytes rose in dynamics, hemorrhagic syndrome disappeared, hemodynamics stabilized. Despite the positive clinical and laboratory effect after splenectomy for a year, the further prognosis of the disease remains serious and patients need constant dispensary observation.
