Election interference has long been a tool of foreign policy available to state actors but has recently risen in prominence as a result of Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election in the United States. Although much has been written about election interference, most existing scholarship focuses on its use to promote a certain candidate or party. Hybrid warfare theory, which posits that modern conflict is increasingly characterized by the coordinated use of a wide range of tactics, provides a powerful alternative framework for understanding election interference. Since the late twentieth century, Scotland has undergone a series of political changes. I argue that a consequence of these changes has been increased support for a separate national Scottish identity. By analyzing competing visions of this identity through the tourism industry and Gaelic revival, this IS shows the complexities of this move towards nationalism. While many scholars have analyzed the re-emergence of Scottish identity since 1707, the relationship between Gaelic revival efforts and the tourism industry have not been connected to show the complexities of this re-emerging Scottish identity. Background: Stress inoculation training (SIT) interventions have demonstrated promise within military contexts for human performance enhancement and psychological health applications. However, lack of manualized guidance on core content selection, delivery, and measurement processes has limited their use.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a comprehensive SIT intervention protocol to enhance the performance and health of military personnel engaged in special warfare and first-response activities.

Background: Despite being a well-supported strategy, Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) has not been fully incorporated in the advancement of human performance among most military personnel. The RAND Study recommendations for maximizing SIT's potential within high-risk/ high-intensity occupational groups were used in designing the Core Training protocol targeting psychological performance, SIT-NORCAL (Part 1).

Purpose: The current project (Part 2) sought to further develop the protocol as a health and human performance hybrid through quality improvement analysis of the content, process, and measurement elements for use in the human performance context.

No longer does the field of law enforcement rely solely on human cognition and capability as drones have become first responders, responding to emergency calls with a drone rather than a human officer. Drone technology can transform police work, just as it has package delivery and military strategy. These drone officers allow for higher law enforcement efficiency, safer communities, and even saved lives. However, they also raise civil liberty concerns given that the drones have the power to track vehicles and people without consent, and they can collect and store video records of everyday life, reducing expectations of privacy. This study aims to examine Thai’s perceptions of Europe, the European Union, and the Europeans and to identify sources of Europe and the European Union news that Thai ordinarily access. The study is collected by using quantitative data as a method to find answers. The target respondents are a group of Thai who have wide range of backgrounds. It can be concluded that the current Thai’s perceptions of Europe, the European Union and sources of Europe and the European Union news are both positive and negative which depend on topic, scope and factor.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศภายหลังการยกฐานะเป็นองค์การมหาชนที่จัดตั้งขึ้นตามพระราชบัญญัติเฉพาะ (2) เพื่อนำผลในด้านมิติต่าง ๆ ที่ได้จากการศึกษาไปเสนอแนะแนวทางในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงานในแต่ละมิติของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ โดยอ้างอิงจากทฤษฎีแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับองค์การมหาชนในประเทศไทย แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงาน แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับการวัดผลการปฏิบัติงานแบบดุลยภาพ (Balanced Scorecard: BSC) แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับแรงจูงใจในการทำงานและสถานการณ์ด้านการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ การวิจัยนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ใช้การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (In-depth Interview) โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 10 คน คือ กลุ่มตัวอย่างภายในสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศจำนวน 7 คน ซึ่งเป็นเป็นผู้บริหารระดับสูงและผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายส่วนงานที่เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ และกลุ่มตัวอย่างภายนอกสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศจำนวน 3 คน ซึ่งเป็นผู้แทนจากสำนักงาน ก.พ.ร. และหน่วยงานภาคเอกชนและการสังเกตการณ์ (Observation) จากการบริหารงานภายในองค์การ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การดำเนินงานของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศมีประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานมิติด้านประสิทธิผล มิติด้านคุณภาพการให้บริการ มิติด้านดูแลกิจการและพัฒนาองค์การและมิติด้านการปฏิบัติงานเกี่ยวกับด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศมีเพิ่มมากขึ้นเนื่องจากมีอำนาจหน้าที่ในการดำเนินงานรองรับเมื่อมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงฐานะเป็นพระราชบัญญัติเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ พ.ศ. 2562 อย่างไรก็ตาม การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานในมิติต่าง ๆ ที่มีเพิ่มมากขึ้นเนื่องจากการบังคับใช้พระราชบัญญัติเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ พ.ศ. 2562 แต่เนื่องจากยังเป็นกฎหมายที่บังคับใช้ได้ไม่นานยังคงต้องใช้เวลาดำเนินการพัฒนาปรับปรุงแก้ไข พ.ร.บ. ซึ่งเป็นกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศหรือกฎหมายอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการบริหารงานภายในเพื่อพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงานนำไปสู่การเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีขีดความสามารถด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ต่อไป

Molecular dynamics studies have been providing a great number of atomistic details of biological systems to understand enzymatic activity and underlying reaction mechanisms. Herein, molecular dynamic (MD) simulations were employed to study the binding mechanisms of organophosphate pesticides towards two metallohydrolases, i.e., glycerophosphodiesterase (GpdQ) and methyl parathion hydrolase (MPH). OPH are the class of enzymes which breaks down harmful organophosphates, including the pesticides and warfare agents into less harmful byproducts. Hence, these enzymes are excellent candidates for bioremediation. In the present study, various nonspecific organophosphate pesticides were docked into GpdQ and MPH enzymes to construct the pesticide/protein complex for performing …

This research looks at the relations between Taiwan and Southeast Asia under President Tsai Ing-wen's first term (2016-2020) as her administration launched the people-centred New Southbound policy by analysing Taiwan's political discourse and interviewing shareholders in the policy projects. It argues that Taiwan acts as a norm entrepreneur framing its initiative and persuading targeted countries to join hands in development matters for people's well-being in the region. In turn, the people-centred rebranding is expected to justify and normalise cooperation at non- and semi-governmental levels with Taiwan without violating the one-China policy since the policy mainly aims to forge socio-economic partnerships. …

Along the banks of the Susquehanna River in early July 1778, a force of about 600 Loyalist and Native American raiders won a lopsided victory against 400 overwhelmed Patriot militiamen and regulars in the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania. While not well-known today, this battle—the Battle of Wyoming—had profound effects on the Revolutionary War and American culture and politics. Quite familiar to early Americans, this battle’s remembrance influenced the formation of national identity and informed Americans’ perceptions of their past and present over the course of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Although the subject of this Handbook is the law applicable to the conduct of hostilities that applies once a party has entered into armed conflict (the jus in bello), that law cannot be properly understood without some examination of the separate body of rules which determines when resort to armed force is permissible (the jus ad bellum). Hemingway represents both Spain and Cuba in very different lights, despite the similarities inherent in the countries. As a colonial holding of Spain until 1898, and a U.S. holding until 1902, Cuba is an off shoot of Spanish culture, with differences based on the indigenous people conquered in the 1500s. Though unsurprising, it is interesting that both nations drew Hemingway’s attention. For Hemingway, Spain represented this noble beauty, this majestic heaven on earth, even while in the midst of war. This paper explores two ocean-based carbon dioxide removal strategies – ocean alkalinity enhancement and seaweed cultivation. Ocean alkalinity enhancement involves adding alkalinity to ocean waters, either by discharging alkaline rocks or through an electrochemical process, which increases ocean pH levels and thereby enables greater uptake of carbon dioxide, as well as reducing the adverse impacts of ocean acidification. Seaweed cultivation involves the growing of kelp and other macroalgae to store carbon in biomass, which can then either be used to replace more greenhouse gas-intensive products or sequestered.

Directional radiation of underwater acoustic energy is commonly achieved by using transducer arrays containing many individual projectors arranged in a particular geometry. One method, which avoids the complexity of a large array of separate elements is to construct directional beam patterns by combining modes of vibration from a single “multimode” projector. Piezoelectric ceramics, such as lead zirconate titanate (PZT), have enabled the construction of most multimode transducers due to their ability to be fabricated into many different shapes and sizes. Problem

Misunderstanding and conflict have severely affected three Haitian churches: Dedham Temple Church, Peniel Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Framingham Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church. The conflict persists between two groups of church members—young adult Haitians born in the United States and newcomer immigrants who were born and raised in Haiti. The division occurred due to misconceptions, language barriers, and preferences for different styles of worship. They were also divided by cultural obstacles, such as knowing the proper etiquette for social media and respecting others’ space. This conflict permeated all the congregations and affected all members.
