การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาแบบวัดความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังและแบบวัดการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคมสำหรับนักเรียนพยาบาลทหาร 2) ตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติทางจิตมิติ 3) ศึกษาระดับความสามารถในการฟื้นพลัง 4) เปรียบเทียบระดับความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังของนักเรียนพยาบาลทหารที่มีการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคมและไม่มีการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคม สำหรับตัวอย่างวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนพยาบาลทหารของวิทยาลัยพยาบาลในสังกัดกระทรวงกลาโหม จำนวน 492 คน ดำเนินการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยสถิติบรรยาย ค่าอำนาจจำแนก ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องระหว่างข้อคำถามกับนิยามตัวแปรที่ต้องการวัด การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันอันดับที่สอง ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. แบบวัดความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีจำนวน 58 ข้อ เป็นแบบมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ ประกอบด้วย 3 องค์ประกอบย่อย คือ ปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากภายนอก ปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากภายใน ปัจจัยด้านทักษะในการจัดการปัญหาและสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคล ส่วนแบบวัดการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคมมีจำนวน 10 ข้อ เป็นมาตรประมาณค่า 7 ระดับ ประกอบด้วย 2 องค์ประกอบ คือ การหลอกลวงตนเอง และ การจัดการความประทับใจ 2. คุณสมบัติทางจิตมิติของแบบวัดความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังสำหรับนักเรียนพยาบาลทหาร ประกอบด้วย 1) ค่าอำนาจจำแนก มีค่าอยู่ระหว่าง 0.31-0.66 2) ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องระหว่างข้อคำถามกับนิยามตัวแปรที่ต้องการวัด อยู่ระหว่าง 0.60-1.00 3) การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันอันดับที่สอง พบว่า โมเดลการวัดมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ (χ2=95.32 df=86 p=0.23 CFI=1.00 NFI=0.92 RMR=0.04 RMSEA= 0.00) 4) สัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค เท่ากับ 0.95 ส่วนคุณสมบัติทางจิตมิติของแบบการวัดการตอบความปรารถนาของสังคมประกอบด้วย 1) ค่าอำนาจจำแนก มีค่าอยู่ระหว่าง 0.20-0.46 ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องข้อคำถามกับตัวแปรที่ต้องการวัด อยู่ระหว่าง 0.60-1.00 3) การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันอันดับที่สอง พบว่า โมเดลการวัดมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ (χ2= 41.21 df=29 p=0.06 CFI=0.98 NFI=0.95 RMR=0.02 RMSEA=0.03 และ 4) สัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค 0.57 …

The aim of this research is to determine if the Irish Defence Forces would benefit from the introduction of change management processes when implementing new technological systems. The extant theory has neglected to examine the application of change management processes in military organisations, a shortcoming this thesis addresses. The research draws on semistructured interviews undertaken with military and civil servant professionals from the Irish Defence Forces and the Department of Defence. In the 50 years between 1869 and 1918, 50 African Americans were lynched in a sparsely populated three-county area, far removed from the Cotton Belt and outside the ambit of the Tobacco Black Patch, along the state line in northwest Tennessee and southwestern Kentucky. The characteristics of lynchings identified in previous studies have little relevance to the lynchings carried out in this three-county area where the African American population seldom exceeded twenty percent of the overall population. In most treatises, International Economic Law (IEL) is presented as a neutral set of doctrines, principles, and rules. Actors may compete against one another and vie for economic success, but the rules are indifferent towards the outcome. It is this notion of an apolitical IEL that we challenge throughout this article. Using a case study of Venezuela, we illustrate how the rules of the international economic order are leveraged by the UK, the EU, and the United States to engineer preferred political outcomes. This study explored the relationships among political ideologies, masculinity ideologies, and shame ideologies within three online communities. Three different ideological communities, all on Reddit (a discussion-based social news website), were chosen based on previous research suggesting they differ in terms of their conceptualizations of gender and support for or rejection of feminism: r/TheRedPill, r/MensRights, and r/MensLib. This study uses a framework for understanding Ideologies as Complex Adaptive Systems (ICAS) as articulated by Thagard (2017), which uses Cognitive and Affective Maps (CAMs) as its primary tool of analysis. This article examines the impact that brain-computer-interfacing platforms will have on the international law of armed conflict’s respondeat superior legal regime. Major Ali argues that the connection between the human brain and this nascent technology’s underlying technology of artificial intelligence and machine learning will serve as a disruptor to the traditional mental prerequisites required to impart culpability and liability on commanders for actions of their troops. Anticipating that BCI will become increasingly ubiquitous, Major Ali’s article offers frameworks for solution to BCI’s disruptive potential to the internal law of armed conflict.

The project studies enlistment into Pro-Government Militia groups (or PGMs) in the context of modern armed conflicts. While PGMs as armed groups are getting an increased attention, very little insight has been generated regarding the circumstances under which pro-government combatants choose to join PGMs over the army. I develop survey tools, a survey experiments and a series of semi-structured interviews to study individual-level factors affecting recruitment dynamics in Ukraine, the country that successfully employed PGMs to defend itself against Russian hybrid aggression. Improved bilgewater treatment is necessary because of technological challenges often faced when meeting existing ocean discharge criteria regulations. Since bilgewater is a waste mixture including hydraulic oils, cleaning agents, and seawater, the success of its management is largely attributed to understanding oil-in-water emulsion characterizations. The topic for this project concerns a critical rhetorical analysis of the correlation between texts of first-person narratives and multi-voiced narratives of the Vietnam War (1965-1975) and the American invasion of Iraq (2003-2011). Drawing on ethnographic research of judicial cases in the Czech Republic which involve the law in migrants' countries of origin, this Article outlines how multiple strategies handle encounters with the legal-cultural differences of Afghanistan in order to neutralize what may be called the “alterity” of law. The Article suggests that far from being analytical tools, concepts such as “context,” “culture,” and “customary” are strategically used by courts to neutralize unsettling aspects of foreign Afghan legalities. The doppelgänger, a ghostly, malicious double, began to haunt the pages of stories written across Europe and the United States. Society’s perception of a type of work and the people who engage in money-generating activities has an impact on whether and how the law protects (or does not protect) the people who perform those activities. Work can be legitimized or delegitimized. Workers are protected or left out to dry depending upon their particular “hustle.” This Article argues that gig workers and sex workers face similar challenges within the legal system and that these groups can and should collaborate to their collective advantage when seeking reforms. Art museums have recently been looking at their existing collections with heightened scrutiny, revisiting their decision to display colonial works uncritically in their gallery spaces, and reconsidering the idea that there is such a thing as a unified art historical canon. These conversations regarding reinterpretation are necessary for all museums that choose to display art with problematic histories, as this information is owed to visitors -- especially within the settler colonial context.
