Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa SMP di Kabupaten Mamuju dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Kemampuan siswa dilihat berdasarkan indikator menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Subjek penelitian adalah 98 siswa SMP di Kabupaten Mamuju, Indonesia, yang berasal dari empat sekolah dengan kategori tinggi.
