Asphalt is a common material that is used extensively for roadways. Furthermore, bituminous mixes have been used in railways, both as asphalt and as mortar. Different agencies and research institutes have investigated and suggested various applications. These studies indicate the benefits of bituminous material under railways, such as improving a substructure’s stiffness and bearing capacity; enhancing its dynamic characteristics and response, especially under high-speed train loads; waterproofing the subgrade; protecting the top layers against fine contamination. Since 1995, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), has been developing tools to meet the challenges of having different insolvency laws managing a single cross-border insolvency. By 1997, UNCITRAL’s Working Group V completed the Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency. By September 2020, the original model law has been adopted by 48 countries. In Rubin v. Eurofinance SA, the U.K. Supreme Court cited a lack of authority to recognize a U.S. insolvency-related judgment in the Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency. Patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage may have some degree of neurological defects and impairment on activity of daily living. Syringomyelia refer to the cavity formation in spinal cord. Possible etiologies may include congenital and acquired types. Patients with syringomyelia may suffer from limb pain and paresthesia. Objective:To investigate the prevalence and factors associated with superficial tumors in Egyptian water buffalo and cattle and to present their clinical and Immunohistochemical features. Animals:A total of 1253 animals were studied(866-cross breed cattle and 387-native buffalo). Eighty-one cases(64-cattle and 17-buffalo) were suffered from tumor like swelling. The Clinical and microscopical, histopathological and IHC of the tumor were assessed. Additionally, different surgical interferences and anesthesia were applied for their excision. Results:Based on clinical, histopathological and IHC examination, neoplasia were diagnosed in 75 animals(92.59%). This paper describes our implementation of several neural networks built on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and used to recognize a handwritten digit dataset—the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (MNIST) database. We also propose a novel hardware-friendly activation function called the dynamic Rectifid Linear Unit (ReLU)—D-ReLU function that achieves higher performance than traditional activation functions at no cost to accuracy. We built a 2-layer online training multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network on an FPGA with varying data width. Reducing the data width from 8 to 4 bits only reduces prediction accuracy by 11%, but the FPGA area …

Seed predation can significantly reduce the reproductive success of individual plants and their populations. The consequences of seed predation often are most pronounced for rare plant species, in which loss of seeds can have a disproportionate effect on populations. The present study examined the effects of seed predation by Owyhee harvester ants (Pogonomyrmex salinus) on seed survivorship in slickspot peppergrass (Lepidium papilliferum), a rare mustard endemic to sagebrush-steppe habitat in southwestern Idaho. I made six extensive collections of black fly larvae at the Little Blackfoot River (LBFR) in western Montana at roughly 2-week intervals from 25 March to 2 June 2019 to describe larval size-class frequencies and cytogenetic diversity of the first spring generation. Frequencies of seven size classes, pupae, and pupal exuviae are given, though no larvae with egg bursters (first-instar larvae) were observed. Therefore, the earliest instars were missed. Sex chromosomes of 562 larvae of this first generation were compared to those of 1260 other larvae previously analyzed from 10 dates (2003 to 2012) to determine whether sex chromosome frequencies …

This research aims to determine the description of HIV prevention behavior in serodiscordant and seroconcordant couples at the Bekasi Grapiks Foundation. Methods. Background. Indonesian Basic Health Research (2018) shown that the prevalence smoker aged ≥10 years old it was 28.8% and smoker between 10-18 years old increased from 7.2% to 9.1%. Objective. The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of lecture videos with teaching aids the dangers of smoking to increase knowledge, self-efficacy and negative attitude towards smoking to adolescent. Method. This study used pre-experimental research with one group pre-test-post-test design. Statistical result of knowledge by Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Statistical result of self-efficacy and attitude by paired t-test. Result. Knowledge variables shown that p-value (0.000) < 0.05. There was a difference in the result of adolescent knowledge before and after intervention lecture videos on the dangers of smoking. Self-efficacy and attitude variable showed that p-value (0,023) and (0,019) < 0,05. There was a difference between the result of adolescent self-efficacy and attitude before and after intervention lecture videos the dangers of smoking. Conclusion. Lecture videos with teaching aid "dangers of smoking" are effective in improving student knowledge, self-efficacy, and attitude towards the dangers of smoking.

Habitat destruction, hydrologic alteration, and nonnative species introductions have greatly altered the composition of North American stream fish assemblages. In the western United States, intermediate-elevation transition-zone stream reaches––those located between higher-elevation mountain and lower-elevation plains areas––historically supported native fish assemblages that included sensitive species and peripheral or isolated populations of more widespread taxa. We compiled historical records and conducted sampling to examine changes to the fish assemblage in the transition-zone reach of South Boulder Creek, Colorado, USA.
