Synthesis Algorithms For Optimal Stable Control Systems With Respect To The Output Variable, S B. Atajоnova, U F. Mamirov

Scientific-technical journal

The article deals with the synthesis of optimal stable control systems with respect to the output variable. A continuous one-dimensional system with the properties of controllability and observability is discretized using the quantization period T and an extrapolator of zero order. The above expressions make it possible to obtain the parameters of the control law of a continuous one-dimensional system when the feedbacks in the control system are linear functions of the state of the object.

Inhibition Of Oxidative Metabolism By Nitric Oxide Restricts Emcv Replication Selectively In Pancreatic Beta-Cells, Joshua D. Stafford, Chay Teng Yeo, John A. Corbett

Biological Sciences Faculty Research & Creative Works

Environmental factors, such as viral infection, are proposed to play a role in the initiation of autoimmune diabetes. In response to encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) infection, resident islet macrophages release the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1b, to levels that are sufficient to stimulate inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression and production of micromolar levels of the free radical nitric oxide in neighboring b-cells. We have recently shown that nitric oxide inhibits EMCV replication and EMCV-mediated b-cell lysis and that this protection is associated with an inhibition of mitochondrial oxidative metabolism. Here we show that the protective actions of nitric oxide against EMCV infection …

Salt Marsh Elevation Limit Determined After Subsidence From Hydrologic Change And Hydrocarbon Extraction, R. Eugene Turner, Yu Mo

Faculty Publications

Levee construction aboveground and hydrocarbon removal from belowground in coastal wetlands can create hydrologic changes that increase plant stress through flooding. But the significance of the subsidence they cause individually or in combination is contested. This study untangled them to demonstrate elevational limits of salt marshes by studying dredged and natural waterways in two salt marshes in Louisiana, USA. The areas had a homogenous plant cover before drilling for oil and gas extraction peaked in the 1960s, and now are a mixed network of natural waterways and dredged canals used to drill wells with an average drill date of 1965.8 …

Research On Structural Design And Vision System Of Narrow Shallow Water Multipurpose Underwater Robot, Nan Pan, Xiao-Jue Guo, Jun-Bing Qian, Yong-You Luo, Yi Liu

Journal of Marine Science and Technology–Taiwan

In the narrow shallow water area, the underwater environment is complex and changeable, and the water area is narrow. Because of water body flow, various risks and unpredictable conditions, such as turbulence, vortex, disturbance, and so on exist which could seriously interfere with the motion and control of the underwater vehicle. In this way, the automatic stability and flexibility of multi-dimensional motion under external disturbance becomes the basis and requirement of underwater control and operation. In this paper, the structure design of the main body and power system of the narrow shallow water multi-purpose underwater vehicle was proposed to realize …

The high concentration slurry is poured into the goaf to form filled piers. The bearing capacity of the piers to the superstructure are affected by the overlap size. In order to grasp the influence of the overlap size on the bearing capacity of the overlying rock layer, high concentration slurry was prepared which selected cement as the cementing material, standard sand as the aggregate. 3D printing technology was used to make the mold to produce the overlapped round table samples. The uniaxial compression test was carried out. Test results show that, when the top area and height of each single …

Correctly understanding the micro-scale fracture characteristics of the Lower Cambrian shale and the evolution law of acoustic emission signals are of great reference value in the study of shale mechanical characteristics, fracture mechanism and shale gas development and utilization. In this paper, based on digital image processing technology, the non-uniform characterization of quartz-filled shale is carried out, and a numerical model is established using the real rock fracture analysis system RFPA2D-DIP to simulate the failure process of shale under different confining pressures. The test results show that under the micro-scale structure, the shale failure mode can be roughly …

The development degree of natural fractures is the main factor affecting coalbed methane productivity. In order to accurately obtain the distribution position of the natural fractures in the a coalbed methane field in the southern Qinshui basin, 7 refracturing wells in the area were adopted by surface microseismic vector scanning to monitor the natural fractures. A certain amount of three-component geophones were deployed around the fracturing well to collect microseismic events in the surrounding reservoir during fracturing, and after Semblance superposition, the fracture energy slices at different times in the monitoring area were obtained to explain the natural fractures in …

When drilling in a complex heterogeneous formation, due to the limitation of bit crown shape, the cutters of each part of the bit are subjected to non-uniform force, and the cutters at the local location are subjected to large impact load, which lead to the occurrence of bit vortex. In order to solve the problem, a “multi-level force balance” cutter circumferential arrangement scheme is proposed. By establishing the rock breaking finite element simulation model of the bit, the mechanical characteristics of the cutter and the bit under three circumferential cutter distribution modes(clockwise, counterclockwise and “multi-level force balance”) are analyzed. Simulation …

A Transgenic Pig Model Expressing A Cmv-Zsgreen1 Reporter Across An Extensive Array Of Tissues., Amy T Desaulniers, Rebecca A Cederberg, Elizabeth P Carreiro, Channabasavaiah B Gurumurthy, Brett R White

Journal Articles: Pharmacology & Experimental Neuroscience

Since genetic engineering of pigs can benefit both biomedicine and agriculture, selecting a suitable gene promoter is critically important. The cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter, which can robustly drive ubiquitous transgene expression, is commonly used at present, yet recent reports suggest tissue-specific activity in the pig. The objective of this study was to quantify ZsGreen1 protein (in lieu of CMV promoter activity) in tissues from pigs harboring a CMV-ZsGreen1 transgene with a single integration site. For underwater robots working in a variety of risky, unpredictable, and complex underwater environments – with factors such as turbulence, vortex, wind, wave, and deep-water pressure – it is necessary to ensure good structural design and handling performance in the process of robot design. Based on the requirements of achieving the stability design, control system, and underwater vision system of the robot, this paper proposes the structural design of a police multipurpose underwater robot power system that realizes both stable and flexible movement. A 6-DOF driving method was designed and its motion analysis was performed. In the vision system, an …
