This study was done to look at the picture of pending claims that were returned by the BPJS Kesehatan and its causes at Hermina Ciputat Hospital, Tangerang Selatan Banten. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data used were the claim files from inpatient and outpatient treatment that was delayed or returned by BPJS Health in June-August 2018. The variables used in this study are the number of pending claim files, reasons for returning and the reasons for cause of the returning. The findings showed there are 142 file claims for inpatient and 82 outpatient files were returned. …

BACKGROUND: The course of Alzheimer's disease (AD) includes a 10-20-year preclinical period with progressive accumulation of amyloid β (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in the absence of symptomatic cognitive or functional decline. The duration of this preclinical stage in part depends on the rate of pathologic progression, which is offset by compensatory mechanisms, referred to as cognitive reserve (CR). Comorbid medical conditions, psychosocial stressors, and inappropriate medication use may lower CR, hastening the onset of symptomatic AD. Constituents to the accounting profession recommend that educators teach critical thinking skills, thus improving accounting graduates’ abilities to achieve long-term career success. Students in upper division accounting courses possess the basic understanding of accounting principles and are provided new content requiring analysis and evaluation, which makes these courses a good setting for motivating students to develop critical thinking skills. Nanostructures, features that are generated on the scale of 1-100 nm, have potential in many applications including semiconductors and sensors. Mixed polymer brushes, which are composed of two or more unique polymer types covalently tethered to a solid surface, have been shown to give rise to distinct nanostructures. The solid support for these systems can be flat surfaces, such as silicon wafers, or 3-dimensional surfaces, such as nanoparticles. Polymer brushes are mechanically and chemically robust, but their thermal stability is not well understood. Understanding The Role Of Consciousness In Maruyama’S Political Philosophy, Pamela Ann J. Boongaling

In this paper, I will argue that Masao Maruyama’s concept, basso ostinato, is best understood in conjunction with the evolution of the term consciousness in Japanese intellectual thought. Doing so allows us (1) to provide a more charitable interpretation of Maruyama’s basso ostinato and (2) to supply a more methodological account of Maruyama’s political philosophy. Such an interpretation of Maruyama’s views also enables us (3) to demonstrate the continuous significance and applicability of his framework and methodology as I use his basso ostinato to show why Japan’s “education-based nation” policy cannot sustain its post-war form of ultranationalism due to the …

The Utah Energy Balance (UEB) model supports gridded simulation of snow processes over a watershed. To enhance computational efficiency, we developed two parallel versions of the model, one using the Message Passing Interface (MPI) and the other using NVIDIA's CUDA code on Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Evaluation of the speed-up and efficiency of the MPI version shows that the effect of input/output (IO) operations on the parallel model performance increases as the number of processor cores increases. As a result, although the computation kernel scales well with the number of cores, the efficiency of the parallel code as a whole …

The World Health Organization (WHO) aims to strengthen oral health promotion and disease prevention around the globe. The prevalence and association of systemic diseases and oral diseases has been reported. Objectives: The objectives of this study were to investigate prevalence of medical conditions and oral diseases in elderly Thai dental patients. Methods: Three hundred dental records of patient aged 60 years old and older were retrospectively reviewed. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s Chi-square and Fisher›s exact test with the significant level at p < 0.05. Results: All of them were Thai of 142 males (47.3%) and 158 females (52.7%).
