College Students And Snap: The New Face Of Food Insecurity In The United States, Nicholas Freudenberg, Sara Goldrick-Rab, Janet Poppendieck
Publications and Research
Over the last decade, multiple studies of food insecurity among college students have found rates from 20% to more than 50%, considerably higher than the 12% rate for the entire US population.
Reasons for higher rates of food insecurity among college students include a growing population of low-income college students, high college costs and insufficient financial aid, more financial hardship among many low- and moderate-income families, a weak labor market for part-time workers, declining per capita college resources, and Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) policies that specifically exclude many college students from participation.

Acta of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent
An antipodal Vivaldi antenna with a compact parasitic patch to overcome radiation performance degradations in the high-frequency band is proposed. For this purpose, a double asymmetric trapezoidal parasitic patch is designed and added to the aperture of an antipodal Vivaldi antenna. The proposed antenna has a peak gain greater than 7 dBi over the frequency range of 6–90 GHz.

Evaluation Safety Of Vehicle Motion In The Condition Of Visual Impairment, Akmal Rustamov, Kongratbay Sharipov
Acta of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent
Given the lack of visual information, potentially dangerous sections of the roadway are a significant cause of traffic accidents. Currently, one of the basic principles of increasing the active safety of a car is information support for the driver. However, the existing methods and means of information support for the driver have several disadvantages. Thus, the use of video recording systems is limited in conditions of insufficient visibility (for example, in difficult weather conditions), inertial navigation systems are expensive, and the use of specialized road laboratories to register the boundaries of the roadway is laborious and expensive. The ability of …
