Assessing Clinical Judgment Utilizing Embedded Patients In A Baccalaureate Nursing Program’S Simulation Laboratory, David K. Wells
Assessing Clinical Judgment Utilizing Embedded Patients In A Baccalaureate Nursing Program’S Simulation Laboratory, David K. Wells
All Theses And Dissertations
The purpose of this study was to determine if clinical judgment could be assessed in baccalaureate nursing students during a 15 to 20-minute embedded (live patient) simulation scenario using role play. Graduate nurses are expected to apply critical reasoning and be clinically competent when caring for patients when they enter the nursing profession. The use of simulation scenarios is an approved and effective supplement to the clinical experience of nursing students. This study was conducted due to the sparsity of evidence referencing clinical judgment in live patient simulation scenarios. This study used a convenience sample (n=22) of baccalaureate nursing students …

By: Jim Leonard Jr.
When June’s father dies in Indiana during the late 1800s, she prays for a healer to come to the small town of Gray so that no one will ever suffer again. Next thing she knows, there’s a tornado and a man in a balloon blows into town claiming to be a doctor. At first, the new doctor cures anything and everything, but soon the town’s preacher takes ill with a mysterious plague.

In District of Columbia v Heller, the Court established that the “right of the people to keep and bear Arms” includes the right to bear arms for self-defense. Without further guidance from the Court, lower courts have struggled to consistently and uniformly determine when the Constitution permits gun regulations in spite of the Second Amendment.

Crossroad Imagination: The Thob Mediating Between Palestinian Material Culture And Gendered Activism, Enaya Othman
Crossroad Imagination: The Thob Mediating Between Palestinian Material Culture And Gendered Activism, Enaya Othman
Arabic Languages and Literatures
This study explores Palestinian women’s performativity regarding the thob as a form of agency. As wearers, designers, and advocators of the Palestinian thob, they gain authority over the discursive inventions of cultural and national symbols. They reconfigure what has been historically connected with tradition and antiquity into contemporary and fashionable. As their traditional –which is yet dynamic- dress and as a sign of their various identities, Palestinian cultural clothing and other types of ornamentation serve as means for Palestinian women in the US to enlarge their social role in addition to generating new meanings as “expressive culture of the …
