Introduction. Infection is the main complication of prolonged–term catheter uses as hemodialysis access. The KDOQI recommends the insertion of tunnel venous hemodialysis catheter in the right internal jugular vein (IJV) where the tip placed in the right atrium and the arterial opening enfacing the mediastinum. The previous study showed that the incidence of catheter–related bacteremia (CRB) is 35% at three months' use and 54% at six months' use. The TCC tip position as hemodialysis access in left IJV is correlated more to dysfunction and infection compared to the right IJV.

This study aimed to analyze the chemical components of O. basilicum L. and O. tenuiflorum L. stem essential oils and evaluate their antioxidant activities. Recent advances in medicine have greatly prolonged the average lifespan of patients with chronic spinal cord injury (SCI). However, many complications arise as the disease enters the chronic phase. SCI is known to cause limb weakness and paresthesia, it also causes multiple system abnormalities that cannot be easily ignored. Particularly troublesome issues develop due to the urinary system complications resulting from the neurogenic bladder. We have studied P adsorption on Ni(111), a system which shows complex adsorbate structures. We determined the phase diagram of the surface P adsorbed on Ni(111). At low coverage, amorphous P was observed. At temperatures between 373 and 673 K and coverages above 0.1 monolayer, we found a √7×√7 R19.1° structure, but above 673 K, other complex structures were created. These structures seemed to correlate with each other and we reinterpret a √7×√7 R19.1° structure of P adsorbed on Ni(111) based on the similarities of these surface structures.
