Bioactive Compounds From Dendrobium Infundibulum, Salinee Na Ranong

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

Phytochemical study of the methanol extract from Dendrobium infundibulum (Orchidaceae) led to isolation of nine pure compounds including two new compounds (dendroinfundin A and dendroinfundin B) and seven known compounds (ephemeranthol A, moscatilin, aloifol I, batatasin III, 3,3'-dihydroxy-4,5-dimethoxybibenzyl, 3,4'-dihydroxy-3',4,5-trimethoxybibenzyl and dendrosinen B). Their structures were determined from their spectroscopic data. All compounds were then examined for their lipase and alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activities. Dendrosinen B (IC50 = 295.0±37.9 µM) showed moderate inhibitory activity against lipase when compared with orlistat (IC50 = 31.4±0.6 nM). Strong anti alpha-glucosidase agents were batatasin III (IC50 = 148.8±8.4 µM) and dendrosinen B (IC50 = 213.9±2.4 µM), …

Effect Of Tio2 Morphology On Efficiency Of Ch3nh3pbi3 Perovskite Solar Cells, Ramon Songtanasit

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

A TiO2 compact (cp) layer or blocking layer (bl) plays a crucial role in a hybrid organic-inorganic lead halide perovskite solar cell (PSC) because it prevents the carrier recombination at the interface of fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) and perovskite layers. In this work, fabrication, characterizations of cp-TiO2 and their effects on the PSC were studied. The cp-TiO2 layers in this work were fabricated by radio frequency (RF)-magnetron sputtering method and spin coating method with various conditions. The cp-TiO2 layer was incorporated into the PSC device structure consisting of Au/spiro-OMeTAD/MAPbI3/mp-TiO2/cp-TiO2/FTO. For the sputtering method, cp-TiO2 could selectively block the transport of …

Tribological Characterization Of Lapping Lubricant In Hard Disk Drive Fabrication, Sawanee Jitphayomkun Jan 2017

Tribological Characterization Of Lapping Lubricant In Hard Disk Drive Fabrication, Sawanee Jitphayomkun

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

One of the most important processes in hard disk drive fabrication is the lapping process. As two bodies are in contact, the friction occurs, and the softer material can be worn out by the harder. By using lubricant in the lapping process, it does not only reduce the friction, but it also transfers heat and captures debris away from the surface contacts. This thesis work focused on the effects of tribological parameters toward the characteristics of lubricants, using ball-on-disk tribometer. The tribological behaviors between using different base lubricants were investigated. At the same condition as final lapping process, EG-based and …

Electrical Property-Investigation Of Porous Clay Heterostructures Derived From Naturally-Occurring Clay Minerals For Smart Packaging, Kornkamol Srithammaraj

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

Porous Clay Heterostructure (PCH) is an interesting material to use as entrapping system such as ethylene scavenger, respected to its high surface area with uniform and specific pore size. PCHs have been prepared by the surfactant-directed assembly of mesostructured silica within the two-dimensional galleries of clays. Then, the PCH was synthesized within the galleries of Na-bentonite clay by the polymerization of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) in the presence of surfactant micelles. In addition, mesoporous clay with organic-inorganic hybrid (HPCH) is modified via co-condensation reaction of TEOS with candidate conductive functional groups (thiol group) and metal loading (silver), designated as MPPCH and Ag-PCH, …

Development Of Pedot-Pss/Zeolite Composite As A Gas Sensor, Pojjawan Chanthaanont

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

Composites with Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) doped with poly(styrene sulfonic acid), PEDOT-PSS, as the matrix containing zeolites of various Si/Al ratios in the range of 23-280 were fabricated to investigate the effect of Si/Al ratios on electrical conductivity sensitivity responses towards the target gas. The electrical conductivity responses of PEDOT-PSS/Zeolite composites were altered due to the available adsorption sites for gas molecules. The addition of zeolites to the pristine PEDOT-PSS improves the electrical conductivity sensitivity of the composites by enhancing the interaction between PEDOT-PSS and target gas. Composites with PEDOT-PSS matrix containing faujasite zeolites type Y were fabricated to investigate the effects of …

The Inflammatory Response Of Epithelial Cell To Corrosion Products From Recast Palladium -Silver Alloy, Verapol Singkarlsiri

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

In dentistry, there is an increase in alternative metals such as palladium or silver to add into noble metal alloys in order to improve properties and reduce cost. Apart from using other metals to replace gold or platinum, reuse is another way to save the cost. There are many studies on the recast dental alloys on mechanical properties and how many percentages of new alloys needed to add in the recasting process. It has been well accepted that amount of new and used alloys would affect the mechanical and physical properties. The biocompatibility of the alloys, however, has not been …
