A Java Class Analysis Program Development By Asm Library, Chengxiang Qiu Jan 2017

A Java Class Analysis Program Development By Asm Library, Chengxiang Qiu

Computer Science

Class analysis is useful technique that can be used in many situations, from the syntaxes parsing, potential bugs finding, and unused code detecting to reverse engineer coding. In this paper, I write a small program classasm analysis the java class by calling the methods in ASM library. Here, the ASM name does not mean anything: it is just a reference to the “_asm_” keyword in C, which allows some functions to be implemented in assembly language. In Java, the ASM provides methods to read write and transform such byte arrays by using higher level concepts than bytes, that mean through …

Stress And Work-Task Satisfaction: School Counselors' Perspective, Kathleen Marie Schmaltz Jan 2017

Stress And Work-Task Satisfaction: School Counselors' Perspective, Kathleen Marie Schmaltz

Education

The study’s first purpose was to give school counselors a “voice” regarding their perceived stress. The second purpose was to investigate the relationship between school counselors’ work satisfaction across 12 counselor-related activities and perceived stress as measured by the Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10). A question about stressors and the variables of gender, age, prior teaching experience, years of experience as a school counselor, school setting, and caseload added definition to the study. This research attempted a census of all North Dakota’s school counselors who had practiced for the last 30 days prior to completing the survey. Initially, participants self-administered and …

Guitar Music In Collections: A New Web-Based Index Is Launched, Ellwood Colahan Jan 2017

Guitar Music In Collections: A New Web-Based Index Is Launched, Ellwood Colahan

Soundboard Scholar

Is there any really good way to locate specific pieces of guitar music within published collections and anthologies? Might there be already a best way? Anyone who has taught or studied classical guitar is familiar with collections like Das Gitarrespiel or the Noad anthologies. But it is hard to remember with accuracy which pieces are in which of these editions or in dozens of others like them. Library and trade catalogs are not of much help. What is needed for this problem is in-depth indexing rather than traditional cataloging. These print indexes of song anthologies and collections have more recently …

© 2017 APA, all rights reserved). Cues that signal rewards can motivate reward-seeking behaviors, even for outcomes that are not currently desired. Three experiments examined this phenomenon, using an outcome-selective Pavlovian-instrumental transfer (PIT) design and an outcome devaluation procedure. In Experiment 1, participants learned to perform one response to earn crisps points and another response to earn popcorn points. One outcome was then devalued by adulterating it to make it taste unpleasant. On test, overall response choice was biased toward the outcome that had not been devalued, indicating goal-directed control. Stimuli that signaled crisps and popcorn also biased instrumental response …

Cultural Differences In Attention: Eye Movement Evidence From A Comparative Visual Search Task., Albandri Alotaibi, Geoffrey Underwood, Alastair D. Smith

School of Psychology

Individual differences in visual attention have been linked to thinking style: analytic thinking (common in individualistic cultures) is thought to promote attention to detail and focus on the most important part of a scene, whereas holistic thinking (common in collectivist cultures) promotes attention to the global structure of a scene and the relationship between its parts. However, this theory is primarily based on relatively simple judgement tasks. We compared groups from Great Britain (an individualist culture) and Saudi Arabia (a collectivist culture) on a more complex comparative visual search task, using simple natural scenes. A higher overall number of fixations …

Neural Correlates Of Evidence Accumulation During Value-Based Decisions Revealed Via Simultaneous Eeg-Fmri, M. Andrea Pisauro, Elsa Fouragnan, Chris Retzler, Marios G. Philiastides

School of Psychology

AbstractCurrent computational accounts posit that, in simple binary choices, humans accumulate evidence in favour of the different alternatives before committing to a decision. Neural correlates of this accumulating activity have been found during perceptual decisions in parietal and prefrontal cortex; however the source of such activity in value-based choices remains unknown. Here we use simultaneous EEG–fMRI and computational modelling to identify EEG signals reflecting an accumulation process and demonstrate that the within- and across-trial variability in these signals explains fMRI responses in posterior-medial frontal cortex. Consistent with its role in integrating the evidence prior to reaching a decision, this region …

Intra-Rater Reliability Of The Multiple Single-Leg Hop-Stabilization Test And Relationships With Age, Leg Dominance And Training., L Sawle, J Freeman, J Marsden

School of Health Professions

BACKGROUND: Balance is a complex construct, affected by multiple components such as strength and co-ordination. However, whilst assessing an athlete's dynamic balance is an important part of clinical examination, there is no gold standard measure. The multiple single-leg hop-stabilization test is a functional test which may offer a method of evaluating the dynamic attributes of balance, but it needs to show adequate intra-tester reliability. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to assess the intra-rater reliability of a dynamic balance test, the multiple single-leg hop-stabilization test on the dominant and non-dominant legs. DESIGN: Intra-rater reliability study. METHODS: Fifteen active participants …
