Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan studi kasus, dengan tujuh variabel yakni web page anatomy, grid theory, balance, unity, emphasis, fresh trend dan resizing: fixed, fluid, or responsive layouts. Penelitian ini membandingkan empat website yang terdiri 2 jenis website perbankan dan 2 jenis food company. yaitu website BNI, website Bank BUKOPIN, website Jco Donuts, dan website McDonals. Hasilnya didapatkan bahwa website food company lebih baik dalam desain tampilan websitenya dibandingan dengan website perbankan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model permainan untuk meningkatkan perseptual motorik dan perilaku sosial siswa sekolah dasar kelas bawah yang sesuai, layak, dan efektif. Model permainan ini diharapkan mampu mengembangkan aspek afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotor, serta dapat dipergunakan oleh guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Conservation and Survey Division: Faculty and Staff Publications

Twenty participants completed the 2017 Water Leaders Academy bringing the total number of graduates to 101 since the inception of the program in 2011. Assessment of participants’ transformational leadership skills, champion of innovation skills, water knowledge and engagement, civic capacity, and entrepreneurial leadership behaviors showed a significant increase over the course of the year, from both participants’ and their raters’ perspectives. Feedback from participants was highly positive and constructive. Participant concerns were addressed, and only minor changes are planned for the 2018 Academy curriculum. Results of the program assessment indicate that the curriculum is meeting Academy objectives. Most importantly, Alumni …

Deep neural networks have been successful in many areas, some of them even surpass human performances. The goal of this thesis is using data simulations to present different characteristics of three deep neural networks: fully connected deep neural network, convolutional neural network, recurrent neural network, which will perform best when dealing with different feature patterns. By using these characteristics to design a deep neural network on top of an adopted pre-trained model with untrainable layers, achieved an averagely 11.1% improvement than a model with transfer learning method.

Properties of monolayer semiconductor, MoS2, are presented in the research. Schottky barrier height and Schottky-Mott rules are discussed. The current-voltage measurement and capacitance-voltage measurement are analyzed considering the role of the work function. We mainly focus on metal semiconductor contacts on molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). The properties of bulk and monolayer molybdenum disulfide are discussed. The differences between the bulk and monolayer, based on band gap structure theory, are presented. Utilizing the data obtained in the literature, the influence of temperature on the electrical properties of monolayer molybdenum disulfide are analyzed. The goal is to build a Machine Learning Model that can distinguish between tweets that indicate drug abuse and other tweets that also contain the name of a drug but do not describe abuse. Drugs can be illegal, such as heroin, or legal drugs with a potential of abuse, such as painkillers. However, building a good Machine Learning Model requires a large amount of training data. The removal of organic material in free surface gravel bed filters was investigated and modelled. Two pilot wetland units of 7.5m x 1.5m x 0.7m were constructed adjacent to the University of Dar es Salaam waste stabilization ponds to receive maximum organic and hydraulic loading rates of less than 185 kg/ha/d and 110 l/m2/d, respectively. These units received wastewater of domestic characteristics from primary stabilization pond. Experiments were performed on scaled glue laminated bending specimens to observe time dependent development of deformations during drying and wetting. Measurements determined changes in the average moisture content and external shape and dimensions between when specimens were placed into constant or variable climates. Alterations in the external shape and dimensions reflected changes in the average value and distribution of moisture and mechanosorptive creep in the glulam. This study used descriptive research and pre-experimental design. The first one was used to identify student misconception in the mass balance topic at macroscopic, sub-microscopic and symbolic levels. The second design aims to correct the misconceptions discovered by using the POE strategy. After three weeks the delayed test was done to find out the concept improvement using POE strategy. Eye trackers are used for measuring a person’s eye movements, for example, while reading text on a screen. This information can be used by scientists to study the human visual system during object recognition or text comprehension. Moreover, engineers can build gaze-controlled interfaces that trigger a variety of actions when the user looks at pre-specified icons on a screen. This study’s aim was to evaluate the freeze-thaw durability of shotcrete in cold regions and predict its long-term performance. One benchmark mix design from the WSDOT was chosen to prepare samples for performance evaluation. Shotcrete specimens were conditioned in accordance with ASTM C666. The long-term freeze-thaw performance after certain cycles was evaluated using the dynamic modulus of elasticity test (ASTM C215), fracture energy test (RILEM 50-FMC), and X-ray CT microstructure imaging analysis. Inspired by Pope Francis’s call for a new journey that instills the importance of conservation and care for the environment, we propose a practical model that mathematically incorporates sustainability issues into capital planning, selection, and investment. Evidence suggests that managers apply net present value (NPV) methodologies in a way that disadvantages environmentally sustainable investments. If an NPV model does not consider the costs and risks of non-sustainable projects, then the potential benefits of alternative sustainable investments will appear much less valuable than present costs. The sisal industry in Tanzania generates large amounts of waste which is an un-tapped bioresource. Research was undertaken to establish appropriate technologies  for its valorisation to mushrooms, biogas and biogas manure (BGM).Physical and biological pre-treatments achieved methane yield increments of 23-30% whereas co-digestion with fish waste achieved methane yield increments of 59-94%. Sisal fibre waste was demonstrated to be a novel biofilm-carrier for treating sisal pulp leachate. With a loading rate of 9.0 kgVS/m3/day, the packed-bed bioreactor was operated without process stress. The University of Houston Libraries collaborated with University Career Services to host LinkedIn at the Library, an event where students were offered reviews of their LinkedIn profiles and free professional headshots. Although LinkedIn at the Library was initially funded as a one-time event, the two units worked together to turn it into a recurring event. This article presents our methods for collaboratively planning and hosting the events, attendance and assessment results, and lessons learned for future collaborative efforts. LinkedIn at the Library is a unique example of an academic library’s partnership with a career services unit.
