Abstract
Hypertension (HTN) in African American (AA) young adults is diagnosed, treated, and controlled at a lower rate than it is among older AA adults and Caucasians. Untreated high blood pressure (BP) can progress to pre-HTN, HTN, and cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is the leading cause of death in the United States.
