Bawang putih merupakan komoditas penting di Indonesia. Indonesia merupakan negara terbesar pengimpor bawang putih. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam teknik produksi benih secara konvensional menjadi salah satu faktor pembatas tidak optimalnya pengembangan dan penyebaran benih tersebut. Produksi benih in vitro dapat dijadikan sebagai metode alternatif dalam perbanyakan benih sumber kultivar unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi empat isolat Trichoderma sp. dalam mengendalikan penyakit akar gada serta pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman caisin. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, mulai Mei 2016 sampai bulan Juni 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri atas 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. BACKGROUND: The initial acquisition and early development of the intestinal microbiome during infancy are important to human health across the lifespan. Mode of birth, antibiotic administration, environment of care, and nutrition have all been shown to play a role in the assembly of the intestinal microbiome during early life. For preterm infants, who are disproportionately at risk of inflammatory intestinal disease (i.e., necrotizing enterocolitis), a unique set of clinical factors influence the establishment of the microbiome. In several literatures of Indonesian political thought, the ideas of socialism has been claimed as the doctrine came from and influenced by western political thought. On the other side, Islam political thought has been seemed as the doctrine came from Indonesia traditional heritages. These view was rejected by H.O.S. Tjokroaminoto who argues that socialism has been established and flourished inthe Islamic tradition before it was developed in the West. This article tries to describe H.O.S. Libertarians are split on the controversial issue of immigration (as is the rest of the population). Decades of work in dismantling racism have not yielded the kind of results for which religious educators have hoped. One primary reason has been what scholars term “white fragility,” a symptom of the structural racism which confers systemic privilege upon White people. Lessons learned from Christian mystics point to powerful ways to confront and resist the siren call of such formation and instead to make resisting racism an integral part of Christian identity for White people.

Antitumor Activity Of 2,9-Di-Sec-Butyl-1,10-Phenanthroline, Dongsheng Wang, Shifang Peng, Arm R. Amin, Mohammad Aminur Rahman, Sreenivas Nannapaneni, Yuan Liu, Dong M. Shin, Nabil F. Saba, Jack F. Eichler, Zhuo G. Chen

Pharmaceutical Science and Research

The anti-tumor effect of a chelating phen-based ligand 2,9-di-sec-butyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dsBPT) and its combination with cisplatin were examined in both lung and head and neck cancer cell lines and xenograft animal models in this study. The effects of this agent on cell cycle and apoptosis were investigated. Protein markers relevant to these mechanisms were also assessed. We found that the inhibitory effect of dsBPT on lung and head and neck cancer cell growth (IC50 ranged between 0.1–0.2 μM) was 10 times greater than that on normal epithelial cells. dsBPT alone induced autophagy, G1 cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. Infrared Spectroscopy Of Symbiotic Stars. Xi. Orbits For Southern S-Type Systems: Hen 3-461, Sy Mus, Hen 3-828, And Ar Pav, Francis C. Fekel, Kenneth H. Hinkle, Richard R. Joyce, Peter R. Wood

Information Systems and Engineering Management Research Publications

Employing new infrared radial velocities, we have computed spectroscopic orbits of the cool giants in four southern S-type symbiotic systems. The orbits for two of the systems, Hen 3-461 and Hen 3-828, have been determined for the first time, while orbits of the other two, SY Mus and AR Pav, have previously been determined. For the latter two systems, we compare our results with those in the literature. The low mass of the secondary of SY Mus suggests that it has gone through a common envelope phase. Hen 3-461 has an orbital period of 2271 days, one of the longest …

Previous research has documented social contagion in obesity and related health behaviors, but less is known about the social processes underlying these patterns. Focusing on married or cohabitating couples, we simultaneously explore three potential social mechanisms influencing obesity: normative body size, social control, and behavior modeling. We analyze the association between partner characteristics and the obesity-related health behaviors of focal respondents, comparing the effects of partners’ body type, partners’ attempts to manage respondents’ eating behaviors, and partners’ own health behaviors on respondents’ health behaviors (physical activity, fruit and vegetable consumption, and fast food consumption). In this tutorial paper, the state of the art of analog filter design is reviewed. The various design methodologies for Active RC filter design using operational amplifiers (opamps), Operational Transconductance amplifier (OTA)-C based filters, switched-capacitor (SC) technique , current-mode devices such as current conveyors, Current-feedback amplifiers are presented.
