Integration In Little Rock, Part 2: Racial And Socioeconomic Integration In Little Rock Metro Area Public Schools, Elise Swanson, Sarah C. Mckenzie, Gary W. Ritter
Arkansas Education Reports
This report is a continuation of our analysis of racial and socioeconomic integration and segregation in the Little Rock Area between 2008-09 and 2014-15. The Little Rock Metropolitan Area is characterized by a variety of schooling options for students and families, including traditional public schools, public charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling. In this report, we focus on the current level of racial and socioeconomic integration in traditional public schools and charter schools, as well how student moves into and out of public schools in the Little Rock Area affect levels of integration in the schools they choose to leave …

Advances Of Cone Penetration Testing In Earthquake Engineering Applications, Robb E.S. Moss, R. Moffat
Advances Of Cone Penetration Testing In Earthquake Engineering Applications, Robb E.S. Moss, R. Moffat
Civil and Environmental Engineering
The Cone Penetration Test (CPT), because of its precision, accuracy, and utility has been increasingly used in earthquake engineering applications in the last decade. This paper provides a brief survey of recent advances in applying the CPT to; liquefaction triggering, post-liquefaction deformations, cyclic failure of clays, dynamic slope stability, and seismic site response. In granular soils the continuous CPT measurements of tip and sleeve resistance are well correlated with the engineering properties of relative density and friction angle. In clay soils the CPT tip resistance is directly proportional to the undrained shear strength. CPT measurements are ideal for weak or …

Comprehensive Physical Therapy Treatment Following A Surgical Repair Of A Flexor Hallucis Longus Tendon In A Skateboarder: A Case Report, Joseph Marcil, Kirsten Buchanan
Comprehensive Physical Therapy Treatment Following A Surgical Repair Of A Flexor Hallucis Longus Tendon In A Skateboarder: A Case Report, Joseph Marcil, Kirsten Buchanan
Case Report Posters
Flexor Hallucis Longus (FHL) injuries occur when stress is placed on the great toe. FHL tendinopathies are common in ballet dancers, however, not often seen in skateboarders. The most effective physical therapy (PT) rehabilitation protocol for an FHL tendinopathy and subsequent repair in a skateboarding athlete has not been well documented. The purpose of this case report is to investigate a comprehensive PT protocol, including video feedback after an FHL repair in a skateboarding athlete.

ADAM10 and ADAM17 have been shown to contribute to the acquired drug resistance of HER2-positive breast cancer in response to trastuzumab. The majority of ADAM10 and ADAM17 inhibitor development has been focused on the discovery of compounds that bind the active site zinc, however, in recent years, there has been a shift from active site to secondary substrate binding site (exosite) inhibitor discovery in order to identify non-zinc-binding molecules. In the present work a glycosylated, exosite-binding substrate of ADAM10 and ADAM17 was utilized to screen 370,276 compounds from the MLPCN collection. As a result of this uHTS effort, a selective, …

Improving Healthcare Provider Knowledge In Acute And Primary Transgender Health Needs: The Implementation Of A Clinical Education Program With Urgent Care And Emergency Room Staff And Providers, Tonia Lower
Doctor of Nursing Practice Scholarly Projects
The purpose of this project was to improve knowledge and identify personal bias and beliefs in the acute and primary healthcare needs of transgender persons, through the implementation of a clinical education program with healthcare providers and staff working within the urgent care and emergency department settings. The need for such a program exists due to the lack of suitable and accessible healthcare that may lead to misdiagnosis, delay of treatment and poor health outcomes. Including clinical education in the acute and primary healthcare needs of transgender persons that can be integrated into healthcare organizations may aid in the improvement …
