The Network of Sacred Heart Schools advances its education mission through a pivotal document entitled Goals and Criteria for Sacred Heart Schools in the United States (Society of the Sacred Heart, U.S. Province, 2005). Supporting Positive School Culture Through Interpersonal Engagement: Phase One Report: Kinross College December 2015, Geoffrey Lummis, Graeme Lock, Julia Morris

Research outputs 2014 to 2021

The Industry Collaboration Project, ‘Supporting Positive School Culture Through Interpersonal Engagement’ is a joint project between Edith Cowan University, Hampton Senior High School, Kinross College and Mindarie Senior College. Ensuring school staff feel valued in their school community is also of ongoing importance, particularly as staff accountability and burnout rises in the teaching profession both …

This turn, from a protectionist-only approach to a more nuanced research agenda, examines the positive and negative implications of minors’ internet use, including all the protective factors children need to engage effectively and safely online. This change in research agenda will go some way towards helping children develop the skills they need to participate and navigate …

Divine Diets: Food And Fasting Of Medieval Mystics In The Vitae Of Thomas Of Cantimpré, Hannah Anderson Jan 2015

Divine Diets: Food And Fasting Of Medieval Mystics In The Vitae Of Thomas Of Cantimpré, Hannah Anderson

University Honors Theses

Food and fasting were central themes in the vitae of women mystics in the middle ages. However, second parties, primarily male hagiographers, recorded most of the written works about these women’s lives and spiritual experiences. Thus the question of authorship and influence arises in discerning what arose from the women themselves as opposed to their writers. In this paper I analyze the women’s vitae of one writer, Thomas of Cantimpré, from the 13th century to find what a comparison of the texts reveal about the subjects and the author’s motivations in telling their lives. Though food and fasting features …
