Data sources The researchers collected data from 65 suburban women who were MA users living in the suburbs of a large southeastern city in the United States. We conducted in-depth interviews and focus groups examining their life history, drug history, risk behaviors, and access to health care. The qualitative findings are examined here. Psychological Operations And Terrorism: The Digital Domain, Rodger A. Bates, Mara Mooney
The Journal of Public and Professional Sociology
Within the domain of asymmetric warfare, few struggles are won or lost by decisive military battles. Most struggles are decided by a combination of military and political means. Specifically, much of the political leverage is derived from effective psychological operations. The digital domain increasingly has emerged as a major component of this battleground and analysis provides important insights into propaganda and collective behavior in the 21st Century.

Victim Arrest In Intimate Partner Violence Incidents: A Multilevel Test Of Black’S Theory Of Law, Lisa Holland-Davis, Jason Davis
The Journal of Public and Professional Sociology
Mandatory and preferred arrest policies were heralded as major advances in protecting victim rights in cases of intimate partner violence. Soon after these policies were implemented, researchers began to document a disturbing rise in the number of victims arrested in these incidents. This paper applies Black’s theory of the behavior of law to victim arrest in intimate partner violence incidents in order to identify the structural and individual statuses that increase the likelihood of victim arrest. Data from the 2004 National Incident Based Reporting System, 2000 decennial Census, and 2000 Law Enforcement Management and Administrative Statistics report are analyzed using …

Publications and Research
This report was designed to inform New York's 2014 state commission on raising the age at which juveniles were charged as adults in New York courts. The report includes a review of existing evidence that supports raising the minimum age of criminal court jurisdiction in New York, describes the critical role economic consequences often play in such policy debates, and suggests how lawmakers should move forward by projecting the costs and benefits of reform transparently and objectively.
