Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran tenis lapangan pada siswa sekolah dasar kelas atas dan dapat membantu mengatasi masalah keterbatasan sumber belajar di lingkungan sekolah dasar khususnya materi permainan bola kecil cabang tenis lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar kelas atas (4, 5 dan 6). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku supporter sepakbola PSIM Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga orang pengurus Brajamusti, tiga orang pengurus The Maident, dan untuk tria-ngulasi menggunakan subjek Presiden Brajamusti, Ketua Umum The Maident, dan dua anggota kepo-lisian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara mendalam dengan pedoman wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran bolabasket melalui metode pendekatan taktik pada siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak, Bantul berjumlah 36 siswa. This paper provides a case study illustrating the crossroads between the agendas of international/national economic development with that of the development objectives of local communities. It shows how a community development project connects villagers to the larger world – both practically and imaginatively. Searching for better materials for plasmonic and metamaterial applications is an inverse design problem where theoretical studies are necessary. Using basic models of impurity doping in semiconductors, transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) are identified as low-loss plasmonic materials in the near-infrared wavelength range. A more sophisticated theoretical study would help not only to improve the properties of TCOs but also to design further lower-loss materials. In this study, optical functions of one such TCO, gallium-doped zinc oxide (GZO), are studied both experimentally and by first-principles density-functional calculations. This research is aimed to examine the impact of audit committee quality measured by audit committee expertise, audit committee size, and number of meeting on the quality of company financial reporting with an audit quality as a moderating variable. This research uses three measures for financial reporting quality which are persistency, predictability, and conservatism. The results of this research show that audit committee quality affects financial reporting quality. Audit committee financial literacy significantly increase persistency and predictability of earnings. The present invention is a method of extracting infectious pathogens from a volume of blood including the steps of creating a fibrin aggregate confining the pathogens and introducing a fibrin lysis reagent to expose the pathogens for analysis. The fibrin lysis reagent is preferably composed of plasminogen and streptokinase frozen in coincident relation until the fibrin lysis reagent is needed whereby streptokinase enzymatically reacts with plasminogen to form plasmin upon thawing. The plasminogen is suspended in an aqueous salt solution prior to freezing including NaCl and Na3PO4.

Balancing Inner And Outer Technologies: Mobile Devices And Contemplative Practice, Nicky Duenkel

Journal of Pedagogy, Pluralism, and Practice

This article briefly considers elements of an exploratory study undertaken in a small first year university class in Community Studies in which both mobile devices and contemplative practices were intentionally integrated. Incorporating these two pedagogical elements provided valuable insights, each in their own right, and together they created scaffolding for a Contemplative Inquiry Assignment in which students were encouraged to mindfully observe their patterns of engaging with social networking and mobile devices. This experiential learning helped students raise awareness and make conscious aspects of their social network patterning in ways that no reading or lecture could.

This article discusses the national sovereignty and regionalism in the context of the membership of a state into regional economic organisations. It concludes that in nowadays-shrinking world the traditional concept of sovereignty is less relevant since states have suffered a loss in their sovereignty. It found that member states of regional economic organisations have to cede a degree of sovereignty, such as in the EU. This phenomenon however is not the case for NAFTA and AFTA.
