The great continent of Africa plays a very significant role in global Christianity. A century ago African Christians constituted a tiny fraction of world Christianity but today Africa is a major player in the global faith.
Among Seventh-day Adventists, Africa occupies a significant place, having something over a third of the total world membership. The highest ratios of Seventh-day Adventists to the population are in parts of southern Africa. At the same time, other parts of Africa have only a miniscule Christian presence and the lowest ratios of Adventists to the population in the world. This contrasting picture of evangelization …

120 Since the creation of the first Adventist Universities early in the second half of the twentieth century, the Seventh-day Adventist church has engaged in scientific re- search in several secular and theological scholarly disciplines that involve the use of human reason and methodologies. Because, normally, researchers select and use methodologies based on the current consensus of their scholarly disciplines, we have to assume Adventist scholars do the same. Non smoker exposure to second hand smoke is still of concern even though smoking free environments have been implemented in public places in Thailand. Thus, smokers have changed their behavior to smoke in their dwellings instead which could cause pollutant transfers from a smoking area to an adjacent non smoking area by air flows between zones. The objective of this study was to investigate relative magnitudes of environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) in a non smoking area that is adjacent to a smoking residential area.
