These items include materials from the Institute for the Arts within the College of Arts and Media at Marshall University from 1987-2007. Items were received in 2008 and include notable materials from the Institute including a Proposal for a BFA in Sacred Music, the Birke Writers Series in 1987-1988, the Tri-State Arts Forum from 1988-1990, and various programs of the 1980s. The Anchor: 2008
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.
