Performance Of Algebraic Multigrid For Parallelized Finite Element Dns/Les Solvers, Gregory James Larson

The implementation of a hybrid spectral/finite-element discretization on the unsteady, incompressible, Navier-Stokes equations with a semi-implicit time-stepping method, an explicit treatment of the advective terms, and an implicit treatment of the pressure and viscous terms leads to an algorithm capable of calculating 3D flows over complex 2D geometries. This also results in multiple Fourier mode linear systems which must be solved at every timestep, which naturally leads to two parallelization approaches: Fourier space partitioning, where each processor individually and simultaneously solves a linear system, and physical space partitioning, where all processors collectively solve each linear system, sequentially advancing through Fourier …

The use of authorial marks in relation to the sale of creative works, like the use of business trademarks in relation to the sale of goods and services, creates social benefits that deserve legal protection. Authorial attribution acts as an incentive to authorial production, provides valuable information to consumers, and provides additional social benefits that go beyond issues of market efficiency. However, the use of authorial marks, like the use of trademarks, can create social harms. Just as counterfeiters place illegitimate trademarks on goods, exploiters of entertainment markets may be tempted to misattribute authorship. In the United States, such deceptive …

Permits personal income tax deduction for court-ordered child support. Requires that, when marriage or partnership dissolves, tax disputes be resolved with all parties present. Prohibits tax lien/levy, except pursuant to court order, after hearing. Bars interest/penalties, if Board contributed to delay/error. Limits authority of Board to attach/seize property. Requires Board to accept installment payments; send notices by registered or certified mail; remove liens within 90 days after dispute resolution; simplify tax rules to 12th-grade level.
