Parental incarceration is becoming an increasing relevant topic as American society continues in its tendency toward mass incarceration. As mandatory minimums send away criminals for longer periods of time, it also serves as a major cause behind parent-child separation. In the United States, it is estimated that there are over 1.5 million children with at least one incarcerated parent and about 7 million children with a parent under some form of correctional supervision. Identification And Minimization Of Protein Loss During The Manufacturing Of A Beta Domain Deleted Recombinant Human Factor Viii, Cyrus Agarabi

Purpose: To identify factors affecting the concentration loss during the manufacturing process of Beta Domain Deleted Recombinant Human Factor VIII (BDDrFVIII SQ)

Methods: Lyophilization cycles were stopped after each stage to characterize the protein through the cycle. Three different types of glass tubing vials; untreated, silicon dioxide coated, and siliconized were evaluated. Two formulations of BDDrFVIII SQ were evaluated to determine the effects of a concentrated formula. Factor VIII concentration (μg/ml) was determined using an anion exchange high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) assay, with ultraviolet (UV) and fluorescence detection.

The aim of this research is to explore the anti-establishment function of the work of Lloyd Kaufman and his film studio, Troma Entertainment. The research focuses on Troma's capacities as paracinema, and examines how in relishing their derided position in the cultural field, Lloyd Kaufman's films represent an anti-establishment cinematic form, combating an institutionalised idea of cultural value. Through challenging the rules of taste, Lloyd Kaufman's films serve to push the boundaries of what is considered valuable in contemporary culture. Due to various social, international and economic encumbrances, Australian film has made a limited foray into the representation of domestic abuse. A limited number of films have been made on this topic since the early 1970's, and even then, the depiction of this social issue has been watered down and sanitised for mainstream consumption. The reactions of 1,4-bis[2-(tributylstannyl)tetrazol-5-yl]benzene with a,w-dibromoalkanes were carried out in order to synthesise pendant alkyl halide derivatives of the parent bis-tetrazole. This led to the formation of several alkyl halide derivatives, substituted variously at N1 or N2 on the tetrazole ring. The crystal structures of 1,4-bis[(2-(4-bromobutyl)tetrazol-5-yl)]benzene (2-N, 2-N'), 1,4-bis[(2-(4-bromobutyl)tetrazol-5-yl)]benzene (1-N, 2-N') and 1,4-bis[(2-(8-bromooctyl)tetrazol-5-yl)]benzene (2-N, 2-N') are reported. Further discussion involves the structure of 1,4-bis(2-(6-bromohexyl)-2H-tetrazol-5-yl)benzene (2-N, 2-N') previously reported.
