A Block Oriented Fingerprinting Scheme In Relational Database, Siyuan Liu, Shuhong Wang, Robert H. Deng, Weizhong Shao Dec 2005

A Block Oriented Fingerprinting Scheme In Relational Database, Siyuan Liu, Shuhong Wang, Robert H. Deng, Weizhong Shao

Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems

The need for protecting rights over relational data is of ever increasing concern. There have recently been some pioneering works in this area. In this paper, we propose an effective fingerprinting scheme based on the idea of block method in the area of multimedia fingerprinting. The scheme ensures that certain bit positions of the data contain specific values. The bit positions are determined by the keys known only to the owner of the data and different buyers of the database have different bit positions and different specific values for those bit positions. The detection of the fingerprint can be completed …

Cryptanalysis Of A Forward Secure Blind Signature Scheme With Provable Security, Shuhong Wang, Feng Bao, Robert H. Deng Dec 2005

Cryptanalysis Of A Forward Secure Blind Signature Scheme With Provable Security, Shuhong Wang, Feng Bao, Robert H. Deng

Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems

A forward secure blind signature scheme was proposed by Duc, Cheon and Kim, in ICICS 2003. The security of the scheme was proved to be equivalent to the strong RSA assumption in the random oracle model. In this paper we present an attack to the scheme by forging valid signatures with public keys only. The attack is so efficient that forging a valid signature needs less computation than legally generating a signature, even considering only the user side. Our result implies that the security proof of the scheme must be invalid. Furthermore we point out the fault of the proof …

Sequential Aggregate Signatures Working Over Independent Homomorphic Trapdoor One-Way Permutation Domains, Huafei Zhu, Feng Bao, Robert H. Deng Dec 2005

Sequential Aggregate Signatures Working Over Independent Homomorphic Trapdoor One-Way Permutation Domains, Huafei Zhu, Feng Bao, Robert H. Deng

Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems

The contribution of this paper has two folds. In the first fold, we propose a generic construction of sequential aggregate signatures from families of certificated trapdoor one-way permutations. We show that our construction is provably secure in the random oracle model assuming that the underlying homomorphic permutations are trapdoor one-way. Compared to Lysyanskaya et al’s generic construction that is constructed from a trapdoor one-way permutation family working over the same domain [16], our scheme works over independent trapdoor one-way permutation domains. The flexible choice of the underlying permutation domains benefits our scheme to its applications in the real world where …

A Proposed Design For The Broadband Microwave Distributed Amplifiers, Ali A. Ali, M. S. Abdulwahaab, Azad Raheem Kareem Dec 2005

A Proposed Design For The Broadband Microwave Distributed Amplifiers, Ali A. Ali, M. S. Abdulwahaab, Azad Raheem Kareem

Iraqi Journal of Computers, Communications, Control and Systems Engineering

In this paper, a new method for the design of the broadband RF/microwave amplifiers employing distributed amplification is presented. It proposes to use stages with asymmetric lumped elements (inductances and capacitances) in the gate and drain circuits of the amplifier instead of symmetric elements in order to control the frequency response and to achieve a flat gain over a large bandwidth. The need for impedance matching problems is also solved. Simulation result obtained demonstrates that the new design gives better frequency response as compared to the conventional distributed amplifiers even without optimization

Digital System For Aircraft Attitude Measurement, Moayad Shawqi M., M. Al-Faysal, Haider Khudher Lateef

Iraqi Journal of Computers, Communications, Control and Systems Engineering

Aircraft convention defines the attitude parameters in terms of three angles: roll, pitch and heading. These angles are referenced to the local horizontal plane defined by gravity vector. Attitude information for aircraft is obtained by using spinning rotor or ring laser gyroscopes. These systems are very precise but they suffer from many problems such as high cost, large size and weight and the requirements for elaborate and intricate mechanical structure. These problems can be reduced by the exploitation of the micro machined technology. In this work, an attitude measuring system based on the ADXL202 accelerometer, the HMC2003 magnetic sensor and …

Design And Implementation Of A Single Layer Feed Forward Neural Network Using Stand-Alone Architecture Fpgas-Based Platform, Waleed A. Mahmood, Monther H., Mothana H.

Iraqi Journal of Computers, Communications, Control and Systems Engineering

A single layer feed-forward neural network are proposed and implemented using the schematic editor of the Xilinx foundation series 2.1i. First the mathematical model of the data set (weights and inputs) is presented in a matrix multiplication format. Secondly the five design stages are presented and implemented without using the finite state machine, which control the processes of the forward propagation phase, error calculation, and the training algorithm. Finally the design can be optimized to decrease the total execution time and to minimize the cost, which eventually will increase the performance and improve the function density.

We review frameworks on quality in conceptual modeling and examine the role of human cognition in conceptual modeling. The paper also discusses how human cognition is related to quality …

Robust Pre-Processing Techniques For Non-Ideal Iris Images, Purva M. Barve Dec 2005

Robust Pre-Processing Techniques For Non-Ideal Iris Images, Purva M. Barve

Graduate Theses, Dissertations, and Problem Reports (ETD)

The human iris has been demonstrated to be a very accurate, non-invasive and easy-to-use biometric for personal identification. Most of the current state-of-the-art iris recognition systems require the iris acquisition to be ideal. A lot of constraints are hence put on the user and the acquisition process.;Our aim in this research is to relax these conditions and to develop a pre-processing algorithm, which can be used in conjunction with any matching algorithm to handle the so-called non-ideal iris images. In this thesis we present a few robust techniques to process the non-ideal iris images so as to give a segmented …
