Lawrence V. Texas: An Historic Human Rights Victory, Donald E. Wilkes Jr.
Popular Media
The Lawrence decision is one of the most momentous pro-individual rights decisions ever adjudicated by the Court, and joins the exalted ranks of the Court's other benchmark decisions advancing human rights, including Brown v. Board of Education (the 1964 school desegregation decision), Roe v. Wade (the 1973 abortion rights decision), and West Virginia Board of Education v. Barnette (the 1943 decision upholding the right of Jehovah's Witnesses schoolchildren to refuse to salute the flag).

Implementation Of An Acoustic Echo Canceller Using Matlab, Srinivasaprasath Raghavendran
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
The rapid growth of technology in recent decades has changed the whole dimension of communications. Today people are more interested in hands-free communication. In such a situation, the use a regular loudspeaker and a high-gain microphone, in place of a telephone receiver, might seem more appropriate. This would allow more than one person to participate in a conversation at the same time such as a teleconference environment. Another advantage is that it would allow the person to have both hands free and to move freely in the room. However, the presence of a large acoustic coupling between the loudspeaker and …

Computation Of Effectiveness Factors For Partially Wetted Catalyst Pellets Using The Method Of Fundamental Solution, E. Palmisano, P. A. Ramachandran, K. Balakrishnan, M. (Muthanna) H. Al-Dahhan
Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Faculty Research & Creative Works
Trickle Bed Reactors Are Widely Used in Many Process Industries. the Catalyst Particles Are Often Incompletely Wetted Especially in the Trickling Flow Regime and Hence to Design These Reactors, the Effectiveness Factor of Partially Wetted Catalyst Needs to Be Calculated Accurately. Numerical Solutions by Traditional Methods Are Time Consuming and Not Very Accurate, Especially for Some Commonly Used Complex Catalyst Shapes Such as Trilobes, Quadrilobes Etc. the Paper Presents a Novel Numerical Solution for These Problems based on the Method of Fundamental Solutions. the Advantage of the Method is that It Involves Only Boundary Collocation and Can Be Applied to …

The glass transition temperatures were found to decrease with the increasing fluorine content consistent with the fluorine replacing bridging oxygens. However no significant correlation was found between the fluoride release and the antibacterial activity.
