Corporeal Resurrection: The Pure Doctrine Restored Through The Prophet Joseph Smith, J. Peter Hansen
Corporeal Resurrection: The Pure Doctrine Restored Through The Prophet Joseph Smith, J. Peter Hansen
Theses and Dissertations
During Jesus' earthly ministry He taught the pure doctrine of corporeal resurrection to His disciples. Some of them became special witnesses to the literal bodily resurrection of Jesus after His death. Over time, men's philosophies perverted the true doctrine of the resurrection. Those teachings became the orthodoxy of the early Christian church and were handed down to modern Christianity. The pure doctrine of corporeal resurrection was weakened, and in some sects, was lost.
The Lord restored the gospel through Joseph Smith. Part of the Restoration qualified him as a special witness of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through him pure …

Nebraska Farm Real Estate Market Developments 2001-02 25th Year Edition, Bruce Johnson, Lance Kuenning
Nebraska Farm Real Estate Market Developments 2001-02 25th Year Edition, Bruce Johnson, Lance Kuenning
Nebraska Farm Real Estate Reports
In this silver anniversary edition, we provide a 25-year perspective of Nebraska's agricultural real estate market as well as analyzing the market dynamics of recent months.
Despite being a market of very limited turnover rates of ownership as well as rental leases, the market for agricultural real estate is still very dynamic. This is very obvious in the past 25 years during which agricultural land values in Nebraska experienced both "boom" and "bust" conditions before developing a more steady-to-gradually-upward trend more recently. Average 2002 levels of values in nominal terms are essentially in the same range as those of the …

A Web-Based Approach To Automated Inspection And Quality Control Of Manufactured Parts, Immanuel Edinbarough, S. Manian Ramkumar, Karthik Soundararajan
Presentations and other scholarship
This paper presents an approach for the automated inspection and quality control of manufactured parts from a remote site. A web-based control system was developed to establish communication among the various components of the experimental manufacturing cell, consisting of an IBM 7535 robot, a measuring station and a part feed station. The various cell components are interfaced with the computer through digital and analog interface modules from National Instruments and is controlled using a graphical programming language called LabVIEW. A dedicated web page was developed for the cell that allows remote users to perform online quality tests. Details pertaining to …

First Recipients Of Anthropological Doctorates In The United States, 1891-1930, Jay H. Bernstein
Publications and Research
This article seeks to show the origins of the professionalization of anthropology by examining early doctoral dissertations in this field and their authors. The bibliography consists of citations with biographical details of the authors, when known, of doctoral dissertations in anthropology from United States educational institutions up to 1930. One hundred twenty-four citations are given in all, representing 18 institutions. Forty-one of the dissertations were not written for degrees in anthropology. Besides documenting the existence of anthropological work outside recognized graduate programs of anthropology, the bibliography provides a demographic profile of anthropology and shows the distribution of subdiscipline concentrations and …

Effect Of Electrically Mediated Intratumor And Intramuscular Delivery Of A Plasmid Encoding Ifn Α On Visible B16 Mouse Melanomas, Loree C. Heller, Stephanie F. Ingram, M. Lee Lucas, Richard A. Gilbert, Richard Heller
Effect Of Electrically Mediated Intratumor And Intramuscular Delivery Of A Plasmid Encoding Ifn Α On Visible B16 Mouse Melanomas, Loree C. Heller, Stephanie F. Ingram, M. Lee Lucas, Richard A. Gilbert, Richard Heller
Bioelectrics Publications
Interferon α may be used as a single agent therapy for metastatic malignant melanoma or as an adjuvant to chemotherapy. Delivery of interferon α by gene therapy offers an alternative to recombinant protein therapy. Electrically mediated delivery enhances plasmid expression in a number of tissues, for instance skin, liver, muscle and tumors including melanomas. Here we compare the effect of delivery of a plasmid encoding mouse interferon α on growth of visible B16 mouse melanomas following electrically mediated delivery to muscle or directly to the tumor. Intratumoral delivery of interferon α plasmid not only slows melanoma growth, but induces complete, …

SDSU Extension Extra Archives
Sweetclover was introduced into the United States from southeastern Asia in the early 1700s. As late as 1910 it was legislated against as a weed in some states. We now know that sweetclover is valuable for hay, silage, pasture, seed, soil improvement, and as a source of nectar and pollen for honey bees.

Civil War Book Review
How was it that a man born to the most grueling poverty on the remote western prairie, lacking in formal education--merely the son of "a wandering laboring boy," in his own words, and early in life, little better himself--rose from obscurity to the American presidency, and from there to immortality?....

Civil War Book Review
Two mythic achievements in the novel form have eluded the creative powers of both the greatest northern and southern writers: the Great American Novel and the Great Civil War Novel. Corporate Philanthropy As Business Strategy : An Indian Perspective, Laxman Mohanty, Neharika Vohra
IIMB Management Review
An article in an Indian national daily some time ago indicated that the HRD Ministry of the Government of India had approached the private sector for funds to build a National Education Fund for elementary education programmes. News items such as these raise a number of questions: Why should corporations pay for what the government is supposed to handle? Is a request for funding social projects a unique situation or a commonly occurring event? Are corporations expected to bear the cost of social infrastructure?
