The Voice: 1991-2000
This edition of the Wooster Voice opens with an article on SGA. After having inquiries made about a charter violation on SGA's part, the Campus Council Charter Committee investigated. In the days that followed, the committee cleared SGA from all allegations of charter violations and unconstitutionality. The other front page headline article is on the subject of the Director of Human Resources at the college. Gary Thompson, the director, was sentenced on January 2nd, 2000 for an alcohol-related arrest from the year before (December, 1999). Thompson failed a sobriety test after being pulled over for speeding on the way to …

Univercity News (2000-01-24)
UniverCity News, 1998-2001
VCU Today, the University’s first official administrative organ, began as a somewhat irregular monthly publication but moved to a bi-weekly newspaper format in the 1980s. The newspaper changed its name to VCU Voice in 1988 and ten years later it appeared under the title UniverCity News. As it neared the end of its run as a physical newspaper, the publication became simply VCU News. These four publications were essentially the same periodical published under different titles by the Office of University Relations. VCU News appeared online for the first time in 2002.

Ipos On The Internet: The Need For The Next Step, Daniel M. Weisenfeld
Ipos On The Internet: The Need For The Next Step, Daniel M. Weisenfeld
UC Law SF Communications and Entertainment Journal
This note examines the SEC's reaction to initial public offerings (IPOs) on the Internet during the late 1990's, explores benefits and concerns associated with IPOs in the Internet generally, and suggests ways in which the SEC should respond to such Internet IPOs. The author suggests that it is advisable for the SEC, given the likely continued increase in the use of the Internet for investment purposes, to step in and preempt state regulation of Internet IPOs, thereby giving smaller companies an increased opportunity to raise capital.
