This study analysed Malaysian computer science and information technology research works published within the period 1990 and 1998. The data was collected from three international CD-ROM databases. i.e.. COMPENDEX (1987- 1999), IEL (IEE/IEEE Electronic Library) (1988- 1999). and INSPEC (1990- 1998). The search contributed a total of 389 bibliographic records. Malaysian research contribution in the fields of computer science and in formation technology between 1990 and 1998 indicated two stages of development, i.e.. the exploration period from 1990 to 1994 and the rapid growth period during 1995 to 1998. An Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Net Growth Of New Private Limited Company And Economic Factors, May Ling Ng

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the growth of private limited companies and economic factors such as interest rate, the rate of inflation, the cooperative income tax rate, the GDP growth rate and the unemployment rate during the last business cycle (1986 - 1996). The results show that the net growth rate of new private limited companies is correlated positively with the CDP growth rate. However, it has a negative, albeit weak, correlation with the interest rate. Economic factors such as the company income tax rate and the inflation rate do not exhibit any significant relationship with the …

This survey is mainly done for identifying the grammatical errors in Malay Language essay writing of form five students. It focuses on the wrong usage of three kinds of grammatical items; ; subject-verb-agreement, conjunction and pluralization. A total of 30 form five students from Guar Chempedak Secondary School participated in this survey. The data are analysed by using the descriptive statistic to find out the frequency and the percentage of the errors found in the essay. The finding indicates that a number of 279 grammatical errors (subject-verb agreement, conjunction and pluralization) are done by the students. The most significant error …

This study investigates whether weak corporate governance has significant effects on the corporate performance, investment and financing patterns of selected public listed companies in Malaysia. In this paper, we use the case of Chinese religion in Singapore to examine the relationships between religion and modernity, and between social processes, on the one hand, and spatial conceptions, forms and structures and temporal practices, on the other. Specifically, we look at how traditional Chinese rituals are being modified, reinterpreted and invented to fit with modern living. Such ritual transformations entail reconstructed notions of space and time.
